CONGREGATIONAL MEETING The council has agreed to begin the process to fill a second placement for the NUC. This position had previously been put forward by the council and approved by Presbytery. However no action was taken then to fill the placement as Steve Francis was then elected to become the next moderator and it was felt best to put that appointment on hold until the existing position was filled. To do this, the Presbytery Pastoral Relations and Placement Commission (PRPC) has asked that the congregational profile be revised to reflect the new circumstances, and to begin the process of finding someone to fill that position. A congregational meeting has been called for today for approval of the profile. Also at the meeting, an update on the manse renovations will be given. WXED In August we will be engaging in a series of sermons and talks called WXED presented by Ian Robinson. This series looks at the contribution that Christianity has made to various avenues of human endeavour, such as the arts and science. For more details there is an information sheet available in the foyer or talk to Stephen or Ian Robinson. To make a contribution towards the cost of professionally videoing the series for use in our congregation but also the wider church please speak to either Stephen or Ian.
