Schwinn® has been building world-class bicycles since 1895 and built oneof the first indoor training cycles. The XR-1, built from a bicycle frame, was introduced in 1968. For more than a quarter century, this bike hascontinually evolved to its present day form. We continue to improve uponit every year, testing it for thousands of hours and millions of kilometers. As a result, we continue to outlast the competition and to break newgrounds in indoor cycling with top-notch bikes.

The Schwinn® Elite, an indoor cycling bike that is designed to deliver an outstanding workout, features the patented Smart Release™ System.

Now Schwinn® introduces the next evolution in indoor cycling, the arrival of the Schwinn® Evolution™ bikes. With their sleek, one piece design and all steel frames, the Schwinn® Evolution indoor cycles are examples of the innovative and high quality products the industry has come to expect from the company that started the indoor cycling revolution.

IC Bikes

Schwinn® IC ProAll the advantages of the Elite without the Smart Release™ System

Corrosion has no chance with Schwinn® IC Bikes!

We know that bikes rust, so we’ve addressed this problem in several ways:

Prior to the Evolution frame being powder coated, it is 100% zinc- plated (frame, chain guards & stabilizers). This is a mechanical plating process just like chrome plating or gold plating that leaves a protective layer of zinc on top of the steel. Zinc is highly corrosion resistant, that's why it is used on hardware and steel bridges. After being zinc plated, the frame is then powder coated, adding another layer of corrosion resistance.

Zinc plating is also very hard and therefore scratch resistant. Even if someone scratches through the powder coat they will not likely get through the zinc, so the frame will remain corrosion resistant- Stainless steel hardware throughout- Stainless steel handlebars, seat posts, pop pins- Plastic bottle holder and brake protection

This is how we decided to deal with the corrosion problem: we’ve simply left no space for it!

Schwinn® IC EliteFeaturing the patented Smart Release™ System

Smart Release™ SystemThe Schwinn® Elite model features our patentedSmart Release System, an innovative featurewhich provides the same feel as a fixed gear, butallows the rider to apply back pressure to stop thepedals and slow the flywheel. The Smart Release™

System is the only automatic emergency brakesystem where the user doesn’t have anything to doto stop the flywheel inertia. TüV approved. Noweven better, adjustable within seconds!

Improved Chain Guard Design Sweat, water and oil are the biggest threat to anymechanism. In order to prevent this sort of damagewe covered the chain guard and Smart Release™

System. Thanks to a lubrication hole, this newfeature will ensure a long lasting system and easymaintenance.

Protective PlateThis plate protects the mainframe from dirt, dustand any defects that could be caused by the riderduring training or stretching. All the edges of theplate are rolled under in order to avoid sharpedges and therefore there is no need for stripping.

High Inertia FlywheelThe super high inertia flywheel optimally distri- butes the weight of the wheel to the outer part ofthe wheel and only minimum weight on the inside, thus providing a smooth and realistic feel at anyspeed making it easier for the beginner yetchallenging for the athlete!

Easy Seat Adjustment Fully adjustable seat position (fore & aft, up &down) with easy to use stainless steel locking leadpop pins. Holes are closer than before to be ableto adjust to a large range of sizes. The adjustmentnumbers are stamped on the seat post as well ason the handle bar in order to help the rider find thecorrect position easier.

ISIS Overdrive Bottom Bracket Our team of engineers has gone to extremes in using the best materials and developing the latest technologies to bring you nothing but the best. They have created a bottom bracket with a larger diameter as well as a crank that drastically reduces the need to change the spindle, which causes damage to the crank overtime. The spindle of the new bottom bracket was designed for downhill mountain bike racing and features an extra thick spindle as well as four cartridge bearings to ensure better longevity. It can’t be deformed due to over tightening.

Emergency and Fine Tuning Brake SystemEasy to reach knob allows quick and precise micro resistance adjustment while riding. Once set, the resistance remains at the chosen position. Long lasting wool felt resistance pads dissipate heat without compromising inertia quality. This caliper brake system (horizontal heat resistant brake pad) is a similar mechanism to the brake system used in outdoor bikes. The complete brake system is protected by a plastic shroud shielding the brake assembly, emergency brake and felt pads.

Optional Triple Link™ PedalBesides the strong pedal axle specifically designed for indoor use and the original pedals, Schwinn offers a unique patented system: the Triple Link™ Pedal. Its three systems accommodate all users without having to change the pedals: the cage sy- stem with straps for regular sports shoes, the click system for road cycling shoes and the SPD compatible system for mountain bike shoes. The Triple Link™ pedal is adapted to a workout targeted to varied groups ranging from beginners to hard core cyclists. This recommended feature reduces the maintenance and down time of your bikes by eliminating the need for users to bring their own pedals, which damage the crank during installation.

Integrated Water Bottle Holder & Brake Shroud 2 in 1: The integrated water bottle holder and brake shroud pieces protect the brake mechanism from perspiration and provides a versatile bottle holder, capable of holding bottles of any shape - even 1 liter bottles!

Optional Triple Link™ Pedal Besides the strong pedal axle specifically designed for indoor use and the original pedals, Schwinn offers a unique patented system: the Triple Link pedal. Its three systems accommodate all users without having to change the pedals: the cage system with straps for regular sports shoes, the click system for road cycling shoes and the SPD compatible system for mountain bike shoes. Special FeaturesUnique One Piece Robotic Welded Steel FrameThe "monocoque” frame has a futuristic design and incredibly rigid structure, incorporating corrosion resistant zinc plated and powder coated frame with stainless steel hardware.

Comfort and StabilityThe seat post, seat slider and handle- bar extension tubes are made of stainless steel and have a trapezoidal shape. The advantage of the trapezoidal shape is that it creates a "wedge effect” that secures an optimal connection between the tube and the frame, thus bringing maximum stability to the bike and maximum comfort to the user. The adjustment numbers are stamped on the seat post as well as the handle bar.
