Volunteer Opportunity KNPE 355 Clinical Fitness Assessment Laboratory

Tuesday, November 26: 8:30am – 11:30am 2:30pm – 5:30pm 6:30pm – 9:30pm Tuesday, November 28: 8:30am – 11:30am A free pizza opportunity? I know what you're thinking, ANOTHER PIZZA OPPORTUNITY, not possible....well, in KNPE 355 we make the impossible happen! Volunteer your time and be rewarded with pizza when you finish! We are in need of volunteers who might be interested in participating in our last KNPE 355 Practical Exam for the year. It would be a 2-3 hour time commitment. The tests involved on this practicum include: body composition (skinfolds and circumferences) and musculoskeletal strength (push-ups, sit-ups, etc). You will be acting as the students' clients as they instruct and assess the aforementioned things. We need 3 volunteers for each time slot.

Queen's offers three Program Tracks within its PJ and IS program options. All students are eligible, but not required, to apply for one of these optional Program Tracks. They must apply this fall to begin in May 2020. This year the application deadline is Tuesday December 10th. The Program Tracks are: Aboriginal Teacher Education Artist in Community Education Outdoor and Experiential Education For written information about applying to the Program Tracks and the supplemental information required, please visit their respective pages (links above). Students are invited to hear more about the Program Tracks. We are holding meetings featuring the co-ordinators of all three Program Tracks on Wednesday, November 13from 6:15-6:45 pm in the following Rooms in Duncan McArthur Hall on west campus:

There are several steps to each application, so get an early start! The deadline to complete your application is Tuesday, 10 December 2019. Applications will be considered on a competitive basis. The discussion will center around: The scope of the refugee crisis and some of the reasons for forced migration What is (or isn’t) being done at the federal and local level to respond to the global refugee

Opportunity The Dunin-Deshpande Queen's Innovation Centre is looking for a diverse group individuals and team applicants for our summer incubator, the Queen's Innovation Centre Summer Initiative (QICSI). QICSI gives budding entrepreneurs the opportunity to receive training, mentorship, office space, and $4000 seed funding at no cost to build and launch a venture over the course of the summer (May 11-August 28, 2020). QICSI is industry agnostic and supports ventures across the full spectrum of not-for-profit to for-profit, and social to traditional enterprise. Benefits Training includes a two-week intensive bootcamp with workshops from entrepreneurs,

Queen's professors, and domain experts in Design Thinking, Systems Thinking, High-Performance Teams, Sales, Accounting for Startups, Customer Discovery, Identifying Business Opportunities, Negotiations, Bootstrapping and Fundraising, and More.

• Mentorship from the DDQIC team, and a regional and Global Network of mentors. • Access to dedicated co-working space in the Rose Innovation Hub in Mitchell Hall. • Bursaries available to assist with personal expenses.

Eligible Candidates Individuals: QICSI is looking for individuals with a tolerance for risk, the ability to work within an inter-disciplinary team, and the desire build a new venture over the summer. WHAT IS WINTER ADAPTED GAMES?

A day where individuals with identified disabilities in the Kingston community come to the ARC for a day filled with fun and games hosted by Phys Ed, Kinesiology, PT/OT, and Health students. As a buddy, you will either be paired with a participant or help run one of the fun events on the day of WAG!
