The type of detector used in the FM-200 drawings was based on the approved material submittal.

It should also be noted that nothing is mentioned in the QCDD regulation that requires the usage of multi –sensor detector for clean agent system whereas it only mentioned that the design and installation shall be in accordance with NFPA 2001, “Standard on Clean Agent Fire Extinguishing System” (QCCD requirement FSS no.6.08, item number 1). Accordingly, NFPA 2001:2012 edition, clause 4.3.2.1, clearly states that automatic detection shall be by any listed method or device capable of detecting heat, flame or smoke that is likely to produce fire. In addition to the QCDD and NFPA requirement, it is also mentioned in the QCS that smoke detector can be used as the type of detector to be used for FM-200 system.
