A Letter from the LTGHello my lovely Ninja Turtles,

It doesn’t seem too long ago that we were celebrating the freedom that summer break represents, looking forward to everything that it brings: service projects, socials, fundraisers, and sleeping until noon. It’s hard to believe that it’s already August, that school starts in less than a month. Time really does fly, even if you had SAT classes and not that much fun. We’ve accomplished a lot, but we still have more potential to grow as a division. While we may not yet be able to compare in size to many of our neighboring divisions, we are just as spirited, as caring, and as inspirational. Watching many of you step up and take charge over the summer, and seeing us grow together has really been breathtaking. So, relax, enjoy the last few days of your summer, get started on those summer homework assignments (UGH, I know), and be prepared to kick off a new, wonderful, school year.

Love, Jeffrey

Hello everybody!

I hope your summer’s been lovely so far since it seems like it’s coming so close to an end. So, this is the perfect time to make the most of it and fill it with plenty of great Key Club activities!

Once again, there’s lots of events coming up, and I hope to see new faces there! And once school starts, there’ll be even more members yayayyay.

Don’t miss out on these events and hope to see you there!

Love, Christine

AUGUST

Region PicnicVeteran Key Clubbers may have

found the regional picnic to be old news, but new recruits found the gathering to be a refreshing experience. The picnic was full of cabinet members and alumni getting Key Clubbers involved with fundraisers and icebreakers. From fancy lanyards to tasty Asian cuisine,

the stands were full of fundraisers that helped support a good cause, like raising money for future Key Club activities and Kiwanis’ Pediatric Trauma Program (PTP). Some of the cabinet members were really getting into it. One president proudly belted the Key Club cheer in Chinese to advertise the lanyards he was selling

for PTP. Key Clubbers who weren’t busy spending their money were getting to know new Clubbers from all over Region 13. Members were entertained with playing icebreakers like I Love My Friendly Neighbor and Jiggalow. An old experience to some and a new one to others, the picnic was a fun meet and greet for everyone.
