INTRODUCTION

Why McCANN ? What are my objectives?

Why am I different from other candidates?

I’ve been following every post made by McCann New York’s

Facebook page for along time. And I found this company

through research I was doing to find the best advertising agencies in the

United States.

The first thing that caught my attention was your

Truth Central. I identified with the “Truth WellTold” slogan right away.

Quantitative and qualitative research conducted in the United States and Brazil.

I. OBJECTIVES

I am passionate about the world of

advertising.Therefore, my goal has always been to

get into the industry in the most respected way.

Because McCANN New York is such a very well-

known agency, I am seeking an internship position

in your Creative department. I know

that by accomplishing this goal I will be able to

improve and use my communication and writing

skills. Also, I am committed to helping the agency

achieve its marketing goals by completing any

assignments-- no matter how long or small-- in a

timely and competent fashion.

II. EDUCATIONI am majoring in Business Administration with Concentrations

in International Business Management and an

emphasis in Human Resources. My graduation date in May 2014.

I am a student-athlete at Goldey-Beacom College.

I am in my senior year and have

completed 106 credits with a grade point average

of 3.87 on a 4.0 scale. I have taken classes such as:

Special Topics in Human Resources, Human Resources Management,

Marketing,

International

Business,

Presentation and Debate, International

Marketing and Leadership. I also managed to

be a part of the Goldey-Beacom College Tennis

Team, which made me learn a lot about

teamwork.

III. WORK EXPERIENCEAs a Brazillian student in the United States the work opportunities during the college life are

very rare. I managed to find a job, in 2012, inside Goldey-Beacom College as a Computer Lab

Assistant, which is my current job.

My work resposibilities are:

My previous job was as a Graphic Designer, designing business cards in a Brazilian company

called Tipografia Chaves.

At this job I had to communicate with clients to understand their desires and be able to redesign

the companies’ logo to put it on their business cards.

I also had to organize files electronically and manage the company’s files. I left this job in order

to prepare myself to go to the United States.

Communicate with a range of 20 to 50 students a day

Manage and protect lab equipment by

monitoring student’s behavior

in the computer lab, making sure the

students respect the study environment

Help students manage their

accounts by reseting passwords,

unlocking accounts and looking up

usernames in the school system

IV. SKILLS

Being from Brazil and living in the U.S. for four years I am fluent in :

Brazilian Portuguese

American English

I am proficient in Microsoft Word, Power Point and Excel.

Also, I am proficient in Mac OS X, Pages and Artboard.

And

Because I lived with Spanish-speaking people for 2 years during my four years in America, I developed Spanish speaking and writing skills.

V. HONORS • I have the honor to be the Director of Marketing of

the ALPFA Group, a leading national organization.

• Due to my good grades in 2013, I was invited to be a

member of Alpha Chi National College Honor

CONCLUSIONMy passion for people and advertising, and my respect for McCANN New York made me respond to The Truth Well Told. I am very interested in learning from the internship experience and working for McCANN New York. Because my graduation date is May 2014, I will be available after that date for the 2014 Summer Internship Program.

Getting out of Brazil and going to the United States made me realize I have a great capacity to adapt very quickly. Being part of a whole international tennis team made me work on my leadership skills. Also,it made me improve on my ability to work as a team with different kinds of people.
