The True Story Of Christmas

Page 2: The True Story of Christmas

And the Lord God commanded the man,

saying, Of every tree of the garden thou

mayest freely eat: But the tree of the

knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat

of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof

thou shalt surely die. – Genesis 2:16,17

The Reason God The Son Became A Man

Man Sins

Wherefore, as by one man sin

entered into the world, and

death by sin; and so death

passed upon all men, for that

ALL HAVE SINNED.- Romans 5:12

But God commendeth his love

toward us, in that, while we

were yet sinners, Christ died

for us. Much more then, being

now justified by his blood we

shall be saved from wrath

through him. - Romans 5:8,9

Romans 6:23

For the wages of sin is death...

...but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Messiah Would Be Born To A Virgin

Therefore the Lord himself shall give you

Immanuel.

Messiah Would Be Born In Bethlehem

But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though

thou be little among the thousands of

Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth

unto me who is to be ruler in Israel;

whose goings forth have been from old,

from everlasting.

-- Micah 5:2

Bethlehem = City of David (“Throne of David”)

From everlasting = He is God

Messiah Would Come In Humility

For he shall grow up before him as a

tender plant, and as a root out of a dry

ground: he hath no form nor come-liness;

and when we shall see him, there is no

beauty that we should desire him.

-- Isaiah 53:2

Every Detail Arranged

By The Power Of God

And it came to pass in those days, that there went out a decree from Caesar Augustus, that all the world should be taxed. (And this taxing was first made when Cyrenius was governor of Syria.) And all went to be taxed, every one into his own city. And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judaea, unto the

city of David, which is called Bethlehem; (because he was of the house and lineage of David:) To be taxed with Mary his espoused wife, being great with child. And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered. – Luke 2:1-6

And she brought forth her

firstborn son, and

wrapped him in swad-

dling clothes, and laid him

in a manger; for there was

no room for them in the

inn.

– Luke 2:7

And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them: and they were sore afraid. And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. – Luke 2:8-11

And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. -- Mark 16:15

And they came with haste, and found Mary, and Joseph, and the babe lying in a manger. And when they had seen it, they made known abroad the saying which was told them concerning this child.
