2.1 We believe in one15 living,16 sovereign,17 and all-glorious18 God, eternally existing in three19 infinitely excellent and admirable Persons: God the Father,20

fountain of all being;21 God the Son,22 eternally begotten,23 not made, without beginning,24 being of

one essence25 with the Father; and God the Holy Spirit, proceeding in the full, divine essence,26 as a

Person, 27 eternally from the Father and the Son. Thus each Person in the Godhead is fully, completely, and

simultaneously God.

the triune God.
