This is portrayed in Bram to!er"s #racula through $ucy"s transormation rom an innocent and pure woman to a seductive vampire. $ucy is initially portrayed as an innocent fgure however% a dominant male fgure is placed in order to transorm and change who $ucy is as a person. &n the quote% 'Besides% it was all so conused( it seemed only till both his arms were round me% and he was !issing me. & am very% very happy and & don"t !now what & have done to deserve it)% the use o emotive language helps portrays $ucy beore her transormation in which she is seen in an almost childish manner as she is conused as to what is going on around her . he seems to have a careree nature to her. *owever% ater her horrifc experience with #racula% $ucy is conveyed in a demonic nature in which to!er intends on depicting the reality o her change rom innocence to sin to the audience.
