Adam DupoisHis father’s collection graphic novels were instrumental in his development as an artist. The French science-fiction/dark fantasy magazine Métal Hurlant, is where he gained insight into the endless possibilities and freedom inherit to illustrating narratives. These days, Adam’s primary areas of focus are, canvas work, illustration and murals. His subject matter consists of imaginative and cartoonish characters with some form of poetic purpose. A purpose that plays out in surreal narratives that call to be discovered. He is a co-founder of the restaurant, URBN Culture.

Sean GaffneySean Gaffney was born in San Francisco and has lived in Taipei since 2013. Most of his photos are shot on black and white 35mm. A fan of modern, “hunter” street photography, his works are often grainy, slightly underexposed and tend to utilize ample negative space, presenting a still, painterly perspective. In 2019 he will graduate from The National Taipei University of Education with an MA in Critical and Curatorial Studies of Contemporary Art.<[email protected]>

I would also like to share my Eagle journey in the form of this photo album. It captures moments at the space before, during, and after the beautification project.I welcome everyone to scan the QR code below and witness the transformation of the new, official, RED ROOM RECEPTION.

Red is the Reflection of Inner Mind_01_Bound
Tif LiuDrawing is a self-reflective behavior, and red is the expression of inner mind. Drawing to me is very intimate. Each piece has a personal story behind it, and I use colours to illustrate my feelings and emotions. When you look at these drawings, it is as if you are reading a part of my mind.

You’ll Never Walk Alone73cm x 60cmAcrylic on Canvas2018NTD 9,500
David LloydThis piece is inspired by the passion and love shown by the supporters of my hometown football club Liverpool FC. Just before the start and end of each game supporters will raise scarfs and flags and join together to sing the club anthem “You’ll Never Walk Alone.” It’s always a very moving experience and even after hearing it 1000’s of times it still gives me goosebumps and stirs emotions. It is a great show of unity, support and passion and is our way of trying to lift our team and help them perform at their highest level.

Suspended Scarlet Cosmos Hand Blown Glass2018NTD 3200
Bronwen ShelwellI have a passion for exploring the properties of glass.
For this exhibition I have chosen to construct a piece in red, completely out of the liquid, molten state of pure hand-blown glass. The glass is formed in a liquid state and the color is added progressively to deepen the intensity. and it is inspired by space, the cosmos, and life ad infinitum. The experience is that of looking up at the stars and feeling the earth and life move in waves. The dots represent celestial bodies and serve to complement this experience and add depth and distance. <[email protected]>
Untitled: exploration in layers (2)20 x 26 inAcrylic paint, Taiwanese proverbs, Taiwanese ads, Map of Jiufen, Taiwan2018NTD 17,000
Rachelle WunderinkWith this work, I hoped to use simplified shapes as well as a limited palette of reds and yellows to help control viewer’s gaze over the piece. Whether a warning, anger, passion, love, or tasty Sriracha sauce, the color red can carry a variety of meanings to different people. I hoped to create an open-ended subtly emotional piece that would allow two different viewers to have different views and experiences.

Camila SaenzA Guatemalan photojournalist who believes that photographs can be used to communicate the similarities and differences in the world. A photograph can convey the message that there is no “right” way to live, but many different ones. Her photographs allow us to immerse in many traditions and the lifestyles of locals, which are witnessed through the lens in her journeys from small villages to big cities. She believes that the best way to understand a different culture is through its people.“We are equal but we are not the same, and yet, we are not different.” www.camilasaenzphoto.com
