Committee Updates, News, & Notices Crime Watch / Social Committee: The opening party for the pool, originally scheduled for May 5th, was moved to Sunday May 7th due to the inclement weather we had been experiencing for the past week. Here is a quick note from the Social Committee: “Sorry to all who came out to the pool on Friday to attend the pool party. The decision to change the date was made early Friday morning due to the possible severe weather. Speaking with the DJ who was scheduled if there was rain he would have charged the same amount regardless if he played or not. He has been rescheduled to come to are Nation’s night out in Aug……..”Contact: [email protected] for Crime Watch CommitteeContact: [email protected] for Social Committee

Letter from Editor Welcome to the June edition of “The Ridgewood Link.” May was a busy month, with the scary weather, the heat, the cool down, and the return of the heat. Man, it’s hot! The pool opened for the weekends beginning the weekend of May 5th. There were a few people using the pool during the week – which was not allowed as the pool was only open on the weekends. But the pool is open as of Memorial Day Weekend (including Monday) for its normal summer schedule, which is Tuesday through Sunday, 9AM – 9PM. Mondays are reserved exclusively for pool cleaning - the exception being Memorial Day, a Monday. The pool will be closed the following day on Tuesday for pool cleaning. There are many chemicals used, and if they were to touch your skin there could be possible skin reactions that would not be fun to deal with. The pool days are calculated to be in sync with the school schedule. When kids are out of school for the summer, the pool is open 6 days a week. The pool will be open on Memorial Day (which is a Monday). RememberlastmonthwhenImentionedtrafficlawsandpolicepatrol in our neighborhood? Well I have seen NUMEROUS residents getting tickets for running stop signs and speeding throughout our neighborhood. So, for your own sake if not for anyone else’, be cognizantofthetrafficlawsanddon’tgetticketed.Becarefuloutthere! If you would like to add anything for our next newsletter, feel free to shoot me an email to [email protected] by the 8th of the month.Thenewslettershouldbedeliveredsometimeduringthefirstweek of the month of June. Have a great month, stay safe, and please contact or visit our advertisers.
