Archeological finds give us some insight into what various equipment
for Solomon’s temple may have looked like. For instance, the ten-wheeled bronze stands for lavers,
which held water in which the priests might wash, may well have been a much larger model of the wheeled stand at the right, used to hold a
basin in a pagan temple. The stand was found at Ekron, and dates from
the 12th century b.c.
