So what have we learned?

• Building of ‘e-maturity’ takes time

• ICT mostly used to enhance existing learning and teaching practice

• New practice only in isolated pockets – too much variation within and between providers

• Learner access to technology is key – ambition for 100%

• We need to work hard to remove the barriers to using technology

• We are seriously challenged by the rapid growth of young people’s use of technology outside education

Your challenge:

• Can you use this funding to mainstream the way you use technology?

• Can the technology enable you to do things differently?

• Are your learners way ahead of you? Can you meet their expectations?

• Do your colleagues have the IT skills to exploit technology?

• Can you use technology to advance personalisation?

• Are your assessment, teaching and learning and admin systems properly linked?
