There is a range of leadership styles used by managers globally.….the main features of basic management approaches: • the classical authoritative, autocratic (directive) approaches, which focus on planning, organising and controlling •the behavioural approach, which sees management as leading, motivating and communicating, is most commonly seen in a participative or democratic leadership style• the contingency approach, which uses the most appropriate approach depending on the situation and changes in circumstances.
