Pres Sez!What a great meeting last Monday. We heard from Dr. Wyatt Decker, CEO of the Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale, and our recently returned outbound Rotary Youth Exchange student, Wyatt Miller, who spent a year in Italy and from Lili Donnenwirth who left last weekend for a year abroad in Germany. This Rotary Youth Exchange program, so adeptly run by Max Rumbaugh, is truly one of our great projects we undertake on an annual basis. Speaking of Rotary Youth Exchange students, I encourage you all to spend some time with Valentina. She is attending Coronado High School and currently lives with the Porter family in south Scottsdale""As announced from the podium, August is Rotary Membership Month and if you know someone that might enjoy our Club, invite them to our first Guest Day on September 22nd when Mayor Jim Lane will be presenting and there will be no charge for your invitee!! Today!Our speaker today is Representative Kyrsten Sinema of the 9th Congressional District of Arizona. She is a member of the House Committee on Financial Services. Prior to joining the 113th Congress (January 3, 2013 - present), she was a social worker, lawyer - private practice, and adjunct professor. In addition, she was a member of the Arizona State House of Representatives from 2004-2010 and Arizona State Senate from 2010-2012.
