MAY 13, 2018 - SEVENTH SUNDAY OF EASTER
DAILY LITURGY for the Week of May 13, 2018
A Letter of Farewell
Dear Friends of the Church of St. Ann,
It has been an honor to serve the Church of St. Ann as choir members and cantors for more than 20 years. You have embraced us and our six children in both the happiest and saddest moments of our lives as our church family. However, Sunday, May 20
th, the Feast of Pentecost, marks
the last time we will lead you in song as members of this church and its wonderful choir. It is time for us to turn the page to a new chapter in our lives as we move to Pennsylvania. We will visit on occasion, and we will never forget you.
Thank you for so many years of prayer and song!
With much love, Bev and Joe Stanley
PRAYER FOR OUR NEW PASTORAL LEADER
Good and gracious God, source of life and love
be with all of us who are The Church of Saint Ann as we go about the process of
transition and welcoming a new pastoral leader. Send Your Spirit on all involved in this process.
Provide for us a pastoral leader who will lead this Church
to be all that it can be. Keep us open to Your Word
and responsive to the needs of others. Help us to go about being signs of your love
in this community of Lawrenceville and beyond.
Saint Ann and Saint Joachim, pray for us.
Saint Michael, Archangel, be our protector and guide.
We Are Grateful The Church of Saint Ann thanks
Julie Acuff who donated two beautiful Boehm Angels,
a Madonna and Angel,
given in loving memory of her mother,
Mary Elizabeth Sica Acuff

Pax Christi Corner Excerpts from Peace On Earth
(Pacem on Terris) Encyclical from Pope John XXIII
"Human society…demands that men be guided by justice, respect the rights of others and do their duty. It demands too that they be animated by such love as will make them feel the needs of others as their own, and induce them to share their goods with others, and to strive in the world to make all men alike heirs to the noblest of intellectual and spiritual values. Nor is this enough; for human society thrives on freedom, namely, on the use of means which are consistent with the dignity of its individual members, who, being endowed with reason, assume responsibility for their own actions."
