Long before Mr. Little opened the Grand Theatre back in 1957, he hoped and planned that someda he would have a theatre where musicals and. plays could be presented. He got his first job 1n professional theatre as an ap-

rentice a t the Keene New Hampshire Summer Bheatre in 1951 and 'worked the two following summers at the Gateway Musical Playhouse near Atlantic City.

After raduation from the Univeraity of Miami d r . Little took graduate courses a t ~ o l u m b i a Universit and The Americaq Theatre Wipg before retumrng to central Illinols in .the sprlng of 1957 to look for a theatre locatron.

Guy met his wife, Jerili, when they were both stud ing theatre at the University of Miami. {.er.r18 has starred in many productions in Sul- rvan and on tour and has established a fol-

lomng wherever she has performed. The Littles have been married fourteen ears and have two children. Vanessa age twerve and Sean, age six. Both childre; have been active in the Sul- livan productions.

The operation of a star theatre for twelve years in a town with a population of less than 4,000 has been called "the miracle of Sullivan" by theatre histonana. Guy S. Little.. . . . Who's Who in the Cast PETER PALMER (Prince Karl Frans) is mak- ing his sixth appearance at The Little Thea- tre-On the Square. Palmer's first appearance tn Sullivan was as Curley in Oklahoma! in 1962, followed by starring roles in The Tender Trap. The Pajama Game, 110 In The Shade, and Car- ousel.

After starring in Li'l Abner for two years on Broadway, Peter was signed bv Paramount to star in the film version. Since Li'l Abner. Peter has appeared on many leading television r m s including The Perry Como Show. E;

elephone Hour, Red Skelton Show, Tennessee Ernie Ford. The John Forsythe Show, and The Jackie Gleason Show. His many night club ap- pearances include engagements at the Waldorf Astoria in New York and the Drake Hotel in Chicago. Peter is one of the most popular per- formers at New York City Center, having ap- peared there in Oklaboma!. Brigadoon and The Most Happy Fella.

In 1967 Peter and his wife toured South Amer- ica doing Show Boat and Carousel in all the capital cities. They also toured Viet Nam Ko- rea. the Philippines and Japan with The h e r Palmer Show and sang in various ni~htclubs in Japan and South America. Peter played Sgt. Bustard on the 1967-68 television srries Custrr. After the close of The Student Prance in Sullr- van. Peter and Aniko will go to Lima, Peru to star in concerts there.

ANIKO FARRELL PALMER (Kathie) is the extremely talented and versatile wife of Peter Palmer. She had her own television show on the CBC network in Canada. Aniko was Miss Newfoundland in 1965 and went on to hold the coveted title of Miss Canada the same year. In Florida, she competed in the Miss Universe con- test, and in 1965 she also had the honor of be- ing first runner up in the Miss World contest held in England. This title allowed Aniko td comoete for Miss International in California. While there she was offered a contract with The ~ a w r e n 6 e Welk Show. With the Melodyland Theatre in California, she starred in My Fair Lady, Oliver!, The Unsinkable Molly Brown and Guys And Dolls. Aniko also starred in The Unsinkable Molly Brown in 1966 at the Circle Star Theatre in San Francisco where she met Peter. They dated six months'and became en- gaged in Sullivan while Peter was starring in Carousel!

Aniko is a native of Newfoundland and one of eight children. She is the second cousin of renowned opera star, Eileen Farrell.

ROBERT GWALTNEY Lutz) appeared in the first prodaction of Brigadoon at the Old Grand Theatre twelve years ago. He is recreatin his role of Lutr which he played at The t i t t l e Theatre in 1959. Among a long list of theatri- cal credits. he includes appearances with Bert Lahr in Burlesque. Burgess Meredith in The

Silver Whistle and Burl Ives in The Man Who Came To Dinner at leading theatres throughout the country. Mr. Gwaltney has been featured with Linda Darnel1 Marie Wilson Edward Ev- erett Horton. ~ a & a r e t Truman ' and Joe E. Brown. He has also appeared in Miami Beach's Deauville Hotel in productions of The Music Man and Call Me Madam. Bob's roles last sea- son included Mr. De Pinna in You Can't Take It With You and Captain Brackett in South Pacific.

JOHN KELSO (Hubert) has directed many out- standing stars from Broadway T V and Holly- wood including Andy Devine, kargaret O'Brien, Tab Hunter, Eddie Bracken and the late Linda Darnell.

A graduate of Illinois Wesleyan University,

i ohn appeared in summer stock in Montana be- ore coming to The Little Theatre. His recent

appearances in Sullivan include roles opposite Terry Moore in The Voice Of The Turtle, in My Three Angels with Andy Devine and op- posite. Mevedes McCambridge in Who's Afraid Of Vir ania Wwlf? This past winter John was featured with Dan Daily tn The Odd Couple and Terry Moore in Voice Of The Turtle at Pheasant Run Playhouse in Chicago.

HELEN MALONE (Grand Duchess Anastasia) appeared opposite Andy Devine in Never T w Late, with Margaret Hamilton in Bloomer Girl, and in Kind Sir with Rosemary Prinz. Miss Ma- lone has performed a t all the theatres in the Chica o area in a variety of shows including ~ood-%?ye My Fancy and Lady I n The Dark. Helen toured wtth Dennis O'Keefe in the pre- Broadway tryout of Never Too Late and has played the role of the middle-aged expectant mother at many theatres throughout the country.

JEAN WEBSTER. (Countess Lyden) has a p peared at St. LOUIS Muntctpal Opera and tn stock in the Chicago area and Ohio. She has been featured with Walter Pidgeon, Tab Hunt- er, Tom Poston Marie Wilson Betty Ann Grove hyington, ~ i a n a ' Dors, Tom well: l%rigurrsv and most recentlv she ao- peared ki th ames Darren and ~ e ~ i & l d ~ a r a - ner in Tom ones. Besides acting and appearing on TV commercials, she and her husband Bill Tsokos own and operate a theatrical firm for which she is costume designer.

HAROLD GOLDBERG (Toni) is making his Sullivan debut this season. His roles include Sidney in Catch Me If You Can Sol Schwarts in The Tender Trap and Mr. ~ i r b ; in You Can't Take It With You. In musical comedies Mr. Goldberg has appeared as Bellamy in The Fan- tasticks, Pinian in Finian's Rainbow and Ali Hakim in Oklahoma!, among many others. ,Mr. Goldberg's opera roles range from the Marnase Broker in Madam Butterfry to Dr. Bartob la Barber of Sevalle.
