Hello everyone:In the blink of an eye we’ll be into September, and you know what that means, don’t you? Well, when you remember, let me know ‘cos I’ve forgotten.We had very successful dances during the past two months thanks to you the dancers, and the DJ’s for providing the music. July 1, “Stars ‘n’ Stripes with the DJ Duke Gary Clayton; July 15, “DJ and Teacher Appreciation” with Van and Celia; July 29, “Country Music Hall” with Jeanette and Bernie; Au-gust 5, Hawaiian Luau” with the DJ Duke, Gary Clayton; August 19, “Hot August Nights” with Van and Celia.Coming up: September 2, “Event or Club T-shirt” with the DJ Duke Gary Clayton. NOTE: This dance is at THE COMPLEX. September 16, “30th BIRTHDAY BASH”, with DJ’s Mike and Joyce. NOTE: This dance is at THE COMPLEX and runs from 7:30—10:30 PM. Members get in FREE, non members $6.00, and the Club is providing gifts for everyone at the door, hors d’oeuvres, birthday cake, soft drinks, water and a 50/50 surprise. Come along and make this a Birthday Bash to re-member. September 30, “Question and Answer” with Van and Celia. NOTE: This dance is back at BARRETT.You will notice that page 9 is our NYE reservation form .. Glitz at the Ritz Top Hats and Gowns at the
beautiful Burlingame Masonic Hall. This theme doesn’t mean you have to wear top hats and gowns, but it does mean that it is a ‘dressy af-fair’, and the Decorating Divas will once again be surprising us with their talent. As usual the Club will be providing fancy hors d’oeuvres, dessert, soft drinks, sparkling cider at midnight and door prizes. Those of you that care to can BYOB, and once again Shirley Tam will organizing a floor show. Members $35.00, non-members $40.00 and non-dancers $35.00. Please get your reser-vations in early. I can’t begin to tell you how blessed I feel to have met such wonderful people in the line dance world, and our club is no exception, we are not just a Club, we are a family. We make quite a few wrong turns in our lives, although my Mum used to say to my Dad when he made a wrong turn, “Just think Tup, if you hadn’t made that wrong turn we would never have seen this scen-ery.” I think you’ll all agree that we made the right turn when we took up line dancing.Don’t forget, September 2 and 16 are at THE COMPLEX.Cheerio,
