Retaining Wall SystemInstitute Intan, Kluang, Johor is a government officers upgrading training institute.
In May 2001, after a heavy downpour, the slope in front of the main office failed seriously, as following pictures shown.
The soil condition of the failed slope was poor, it consisted of mostly clay.
On top of the slope there were roads and buildings which were subject to be damaged.
Remedy of the slope protection was urgently needed.
Immediately, JKR decided to use a fast and easy construction retaining wall system to rectify the critical condition.
Betoconcept ~ Betotitan wall was constructed then, it took three weeks to complete the 7 meters high retaining wall.
After 11 years, to date May 2012 this Betoflor Retaining wall has resisted very many heavy downpour and storm, it remains intact, infinite and beautiful .
