La ilaha ila Allah (Arabic) Literally: No Allah but The Allah (swt).It is the first part of

the Islamic faith known as the Kalimah or Shahadah. The Shahada is the Muslim

declaration of belief in the oneness of Allah and acceptance of Muhammad (s) as his

prophet. The declaration reads: Lā ilaha illa al-Lāh, Muhammadun rasūlu l-Lāh “There

is no Allah but Allah, Muhammad (saw) is the Messenger of Allah". This declaration iscalled the Kalima

The debate concerning the existence of Allah raises many philosophical issues. A basic

problem is that there is no universally accepted definition of Allah. Some definitions of

Allah's existence are so non-specific that it is certain that something exists that meets

the definition; in stark contrast, there are suggestions that other definitions are self-

contradictory.

Since Allah is neither an entity in the universe nor a mathematical object it is not

obvious what kinds of arguments/proofs are relevant to Allah's existence. Even if the

concept of scientific proof were not problematic, the fact that there is no conclusive

scientific proof of the existence, or non-existence, of Allah mainly demonstrates that

the existence of Allah is not a normal scientific question.

The Qur'an is a Message from Allah (swt) to humanity. It was transmitted to us in a

chain starting from the Almighty Himself (swt) through the angel Gabriel to the

Prophet Muhammad (saw). This message was given to the Prophet (saw) in pieces

over a period across approximately 23 years. The Prophet (saw) was 40 years old

when the Qur'an began to be revealed to him, and he was 63 when the revelation was

completed.

Allah, Glorious is He, is the First: there is nothing before Him; and He is the Last:

there is nothing after Him. He is the Most High: there is nothing above Him, and He is

the Most Near: there is nothing nearer than Him. He is the Ever-Living and the One

who sustains and protects all that exists. He is the All-Mighty; the All-Wise; the All-

Aware; the All- Knowing; the All-Seeing; the Owner of Power; the Most Strong. He

has power over all things; everything is in need of Him; all actions are easy for Him;

and He is in need of nothing whatsoever:

"There is nothing like unto Him; and He is the All-Hearer, the Ever Watching."

[Surah Ash-Shura (42), Ayah 11.]

Allah created us and built us for a relationship with him. We belong to him, and we

owe him gratitude for every breath, every moment, everything. Because humans were

built to live for him (to worship), we will always try to worship something – if not

Allah, we will choose some other object of ultimate devotion to give our lives meaning.

We may feel no need or interest to know Allah at all. This does not mean we should

stay uncommitted. If we were created by Allah, then we owe him our life, whether we

feel like it or not. We are obligated to seek him and ask him to soften our heart, open

our eyes, and enlighten us. If we say, “I have no faith,” that is no excuse either. We

need only doubt our doubts. No one can doubt everything at once— we must believe

in something to doubt something else. For example, do we believe we are competentto run our own life? Where is the evidence of that? Why doubt everything but our

doubts about Allah and our faith in ourselves? Is that fair? We owe it to Allah to seek

him.

Allah is our naked reality, undecorated, without any adjective. It is not confined by

our body, not confined by our birth, not confined by our color, not confined by our

sex, not confined by our country. It is simply not confined by anything. And it is

available, so close: Just one step inside and we have arrived. You have been told for

thousands of years that the journey to Allah is very long. The journey is not long,

Allah is not far away. Allah is in our breath, Allah is in our heartbeat, Allah is in ourblood, in our bones, in our soul -- just a single step of closing our eyes and entering

within ourselves.

Allah does not force us to believe in him, though he could. Instead, he has provided

sufficient proof of his existence for us to willingly respond to him. The earth's perfect

distance from the sun, the unique chemical properties of water, the human brain,

DNA, the number of people who proved to knowing Allah, the willingness for Allah to

be known through Al Qur-an.

It is fortunate that man is born with a question mark; otherwise he would be justanother species of animal. Buffaloes have no questions – they accept whatever is,

unquestioningly – they are really faithful, religious. Trees have no questions, birds

have no questions; it is only man and man’s prerogative, his privilege. In the whole of

existence he alone is capable of asking a question. The old religions have been trying

to destroy our privilege. They have been forcing us down to the level of the animals.

That’s what they call faith: “undoubting faith.” They want us to be buffaloes, donkeys,

but not men – because man’s only special quality that defines him as separate from

animal hood is the question mark. Certainly to live without any questions is peaceful,

but that peace is a dead peace; it has no life in it. That silence is the silence of a

cemetery, of the graveyard. Each child is asking a thousand and one questions. Themore a child asks the questions, the more potential he is showing that he will be able

to discover something. There are dumb children too not literally dumb, but

psychologically dumb. Parents like them very much because they don’t create any

trouble, they don’t ask any questions – even a small child can destroy all your

knowledge ability. Knowledge cannot be sold, and we cannot purchase wisdom.

The religious leaders are as asleep as the people they are leading. The only difference

between the leaders and the led is theoretical. The leaders have a great store of

theological knowledge, all borrowed; nothing in it is of their own experience, but it

gives them great authority over the people who don't have even borrowed knowledge.

And these leaders are consistently emphasizing the fact: "You are sinners, you are

ignorant. We are the saints, we are the knowers." Existence is so spacious that it

allows us absolute freedom to be whatsoever we want to be, whatsoever we have thecapacity to be. Allah imposes things on us. He wants us to be a certain kind of man,

having a certain kind of personality, morality, ethics and protocols.

The lie cannot stand on its own feet. It needs borrowed legs, a borrowed head and a

borrowed heart –everything borrowed. Trust is the bridge between you and existence.

Trust is the purest form of love, and once trust is lost, love also becomes impossible.

But every child's trust is being exploited. He naturally trusts his parents and because

of his trust, they go on giving him beliefs which are poisonous, a personality which is

false, an ego which will deprive him of his own soul; beliefs, thoughts, scriptures,

which are going to hinder his intelligence, which are going to prevent his search fortruth, which are going to make him part of some stupid, organized religion.

To create a boundary, two things are needed; one on this side and one on the other

side. Obviously existence cannot have any boundary. It is fearful to conceive infinity,

the emptiness continuing forever and ever. We will never come to a point where we

can say, ”Now we have reached the end.” There is no end and there is no beginning.

Allah is not the meaning of life. Life beyond death is not the meaning of life. Life is

just an opportunity, an opening. It depends what we make of it. It depends on us

what meaning, what color, what song, what poetry, what dance we give to it. Life is a

creative challenge. And it is good that it hasn’t any fixed meaning, otherwise therewould be no challenge. Then it would be just a ready-made thing: we are born and

the meaning of life is given to us and we carry it our whole life; this is the meaning of

our life. No, existence is far more profound than any meaning. Existence is just a

challenge to creativity. It allows us all the space that we need – and we think it is

empty? Just try to use the right words, because words have a certain context.

”Empty” is a sad word; it seems something is missing; something that should have

been is not there. But why call it empty? Why in the first place expect that something

should be there waiting for us? Who are we?

There is a great difference Between Madness and Enlightenment and also a greatsimilarity. The similarity has to be understood first, because without understanding it,

it will be difficult to understand the difference. Both are beyond the mind – madness

and enlightenment. Madness is below the mind. Enlightenment is above the mind. But

both are out of the mind. Hence, you have the expression for a madman”out of his

mind.” The same expression can be used for the enlightened person; he is also out of

his mind. Madness is a disease. It happens to you – you don’t have to make an effort

to be mad. It is a sickness and it is curable. Enlightenment happens through

tremendous awareness and arduous effort. Enlightenment is the supreme health. So if

we want to enlighten on knowing about the Allah, we should increase our Madness for

the love of dearest Allah at first.

There is no darkness. Darkness is only less light. Our eyes are not capable, but there

are animals, owls, who can see in the night -- it is their day. In the morning comestheir night, because their eyes are so delicate that they cannot open their eyes in the

hot sun rays. So the whole day long, they are in darkness and the whole night they

are in light. The difference between darkness and light is only of degree. It is the

same as the difference between coldness and hotness: the same thermometer can

show you how much is the temperature. Is it cold or is it hot? The difference is only of

degrees. Wherever you see opposite things, remember: the difference is only of

degree. There is no opposition anywhere. There is nothing contradictory. And certainly

there is no end, because there is no beginning. Existence has always been there, is

there, will be there, and we are part of it. Forms may have changed, but the essential

reality remains the same.

Loneliness is a negative state, like darkness. Loneliness means we are missing

someone; we are empty, and we are afraid in this vast universe. Aloneness has a

totally different meaning: it does not mean that we are missing someone; it means

that we have found ourselves. It is absolutely positive. Finding oneself, one finds the

meaning of life, the significance of life, the joy of life, the luxury of life. Finding oneself

is the greatest finding in man's life, and this finding is possible only when you are

alone. When our consciousness is not crowded by anything, by anybody, when our

consciousness is utterly empty in that emptiness, in that nothingness, a miracle

happens. And that miracle is the foundation of all religions.

People claim to reject Allah’s existence because it is “not scientific” or “because there

is no proof.” The true reason is that once they admit that there is a Allah, they also

must realize that they are responsible to Allah and in need of forgiveness from Him. If

Allah exists, then we are accountable to Him for our actions. If Allah does not exist,

then we can do whatever we want without having to worry about Allah judging us.

That is why many of those who deny the existence of Allah cling strongly to the theory

of naturalistic evolution—it gives them an alternative to believing in a Creator Allah.

Allah exists and ultimately everyone knows that He exists. The very fact that some

attempt so aggressively to disprove His existence is in fact an argument for Hisexistence.

How do we know Allah exists? As Muslims, we know Allah exists because we speak to

Him every day. We do not audibly hear Him speaking to us, but we sense His

presence, we feel His leading, we know His love, we desire His grace. Things have

occurred in our lives that have no possible explanation other than Allah. Allah has so

miraculously saved us and changed our lives that we cannot help but acknowledge

and praise His existence. None of these arguments can persuade anyone who refuses

to acknowledge what is already obvious. In the end, Allah’s existence must be

accepted by faith. Faith in Allah is not a blind leap into the dark; it is safe step into a

well-lit room where the vast majority of people are already standing.

Believe that Allah exists. It may seem that a seeker of Allah would naturally believe

He exists, but doubt is a temptation--even for the seeker of Allah. Go outside and look

at the stars when doubt continues. Believe that He is a re-warder of those who seek

Him. A relationship with Allah offers a thousand sacred sweets while here on earth,

but the bulk of the reward may not be immediate. Have faith that it will come and

when it does, you won't be sorry. Heaven's riches are lasting while earth's riches will

pass away. Commit to seeking Allah daily. Schedule a time of the day when you can

focus primarily on seeking Allah through Qur-an reading and prayer. The Qur-an is full

of examples of those who preferred to seek Allah early. Ask the Holy Spirit to show

Allah to you. Without the Holy Spirit--the third person of the Allahhead, the Word of

Allah is lifeless and is just a book of stories that was written a long time ago. Onlythose who know the Lord as their Protector will have the Holy Spirit to guide them

here. The truth will come alive and begin to change your heart and your life.

"When we bring light into the room, what are we are going to do with the darkness?"

Light yourself in your dark mind. Come out from the darkness of the ignorance.

Lighting yourself with the love of the Allah and also his existence. Seek Allah in your

mind, in your soul and in your existence.

He is Allah who has the following attributes:

“He is Allah, the One and Only;

The Eternal, Absolute;

He begets not, nor is He begotten;

And there is none like unto Him. “ [112:1-4]
