This is what many of you have been waiting for all these manymonths! Piano and Organ duets! Many of you serving in the localchurches do not have the luxury of both instruments, or if you dohave both, you may be the only instrumentalist. Frog Music Press ispleased to offer to you the exciting possibility of playing duets usingthe Rodgers PR300. It is our goal to offer variety in technicaldifficulty, stylistic treatments, and in performance usage.

In this collection, we have tried to offer to you a wide range ofhymntunes which can be used for many occasions during the churchyear. For instance, Kruger’s “Now Thank We All Our God” isappropriate for Weddings, Thanksgiving, or General service music.You may wish to use “Amazing Grace” for commmunion or for aChristian Homegoing.

You will also find that there are arrangements of varied length. You may need ashorter piece for offertory, or a longer one for prelude or processional. As notedin the Table of Contents, these works may also be performed without the MIDIfiles.

The text of the final hymn in this collection, “What a Friend We Have in Jesus”,was written by a son for his stricken mother. Simple words of hope and comfort.Simularly, the accomplished musician who wrote the music for the text, put pento manuscript paper, writing a complementary simple melody. Simple things forthe common man, but meaningful for many. We hope that you will find oursimple offerings meaningful and useful to your service.
