Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
I have had the hardest time writing the number 10. When I write the date these
days, it seems I still think I am in September, and write the 9! Now, it is shocking to
realize that I need to write an 11! When will it all slow down?!?
It has been an interesting fall, and one filled with lots of mixed emotions. First off, we
have had to say goodbye to Katie Otto as she has begun a new stage of her life in
ministry at Immanuel Church in Giddings, Texas. It is so hard to say goodbye, but I
am also filled with joy for her as this will be a great place for her to do youth ministry.
I have mixed emotions when it comes to our Comfort Dog Ministry as well. This is
going to be a huge commitment, and we still need people who would be willing to
have the dog live with them in their home. However, I know God will provide, and
that this ministry will be a truly life-giving and life-changing ministry for our Church
and School. I can’t wait to have our dog on site!
So, pray for Katie. Pray for our church leaders as a plan for keeping up and
expanding our youth ministry emerges with God’s guidance. Pray for the Comfort Dog
ministry, and if you are interested, see how you can get involved.
God is with us through all the changes and challenges, and we are blessed to follow
HIM!
In Christ,
Pastor Matt Hoffmann

Dear St. Andrews Family,
As I make the move to my new call in Texas, I find myself reflecting on my 5+
years at St. Andrews, and I am very grateful for the blessing that they were to me.
Thank you for embracing me as an intern, a student, still learning the basics of
professional ministry, and then bringing me into your church family as a full time staff
member for the last four years. Working with and learning form Pastor Matt, as well as
the rest of the staff here, has been an immense blessing. Thank you for helping me to
grow, and for all your support and encouragement. St. Andrews and the people here
will always have a special place in my heart.
While making the decision to accept the call to Immanuel was certainly a difficult
one, I can’t help but feel excited about God’s plans for St. Andrews’ future. Know that
St. Andrews will always be in my prayers, especially in the upcoming months as you
have to begin discerning who or what God has in mind for the youth and family
ministry here.
With heartfelt thanks and love,
Katie Otto
