THE SSG (SUPREME STUDENT GOVERNMENT)
ELECTION 2014
In recent elections, was thorough recognition of the newly elected officers of the
SSG at the initiative of the COMELEC (Commission on Election) Officers and Member . This
such meaningful elections are processed annually , and the newly elected officials were
sworn into their office, and replace and extend the project reached by the old SSG officials .
Not all students are given the opportunity to become members of the organization,
because the work of a school leader is not a light responsibility, it requires quite a lot of
qualifications before becoming fully officials rather, it requires smart process. Being an ideal
model, patience, determination, commitment and a great leader possessed by a
responsible School Student Government.
In the last election, three separate parties formed aspiring to be school officials : 1.
The Responsible Organization of Youth Leading and Attending to Success (ROYALS) ,
became famous in their statement Keep Calm & Choose ROYALS , 2. Tracking Right
Oppurtunity Producing Accomplishments (ka-TROPA) with their words of Time for a
Change, Make a Difference , and 3. PEPSI ( Partido ng mga Estudyanteng Pantay-Pantay
ang Serbisyo sa bawat Isa) who believe that Actions Speak Louder Than Words. Different
regardless of their beliefs, they also have the same purpose, it is to make a change in the
school, and provide a legacy in school theyre serving.
This was not been easy for the COMELEC to qualify a student to run for the SSG
Election. One of the biggest controversy about the decision of COMELEC is to disregard one
of the member/official of ROYALS, who would run in PIO Position, because of the grade he
shown is not reaching an average grades of 85. Despite this, he did deserve to run, and
eventually, competed as the SSG President from the Independent group- was named PEPSI.
Each party will be given a short time; to promise and to spread respective platforms
and projects, and to convince every students to support ad to choose them as a new set of
School leaders , within the Campaign Period (January 29,30,31 2014 (?)). However, there
are some platforms by the three groups immediately criticized and not accepted by thefaculty member and the student. Some of the ROYALS partys program are the : X-Factor,
Holloween "Costume" Party, Super Sireyna, Mr. & Ms. BNHS, Rap Con, Booth Kiss (Month of
February), etc. But only Mr. & Ms. BNHS and RapCon passed and the rests were rejected .
The same with the PEPSI, theyre desiring for a CCTV in school, is big a question to the
Party: "How and When will it be there?" because it was impossible to fulfill by the public
schools. But one of their flat forms accepted and praisedThe Voice of the BNHS. It

sounds like a contest, but this is just a simple box for the opinions and comments of the
students relating with the SSG and other School events. Also, the flatforms created by the
SSG runners were criticized , which was not in-line with their Organization, such as the
Canteen and Comfort Rooms. Meanwhile, the TEAMROYALS became renowned to the
students by their unique style of campaigning , uniform, and an spectacular Flatform Board .
After struggling campaign period, all officers will be mixed emotion of being nervous
and excited for the results of Election (this February 3-4 , 2014 (?)) . Many votes were
wasted due to the simple failure of the students in the right way of voting . If we will rate
this 2 out of 10 (?) were rejects by the COMELEC . The Polls/ voting process occurred within
two daysthe Regular Students (ALS) Classes and the new program for those students who
cant be regular, the OHSP Students (Tuesday & Thursday Classes only) ; from morning to
afternoon ( shifting of classes : 2 ) .
However, the votings of the students agreed with the new SSG Officials . And the
majority favored with (Straight) ROYALS . A historic election took place the votes of the
students favored with one party only. For the newly elected officers of the SSG, we are
confident in your abilities. Do your best to fulfill your promises and duties for schools
transformation and Legacy . Were hoping you to attain or to compass the service shown by
the graduate SSGs . Congratulations and God Bless SSG Marshalls and Officials!
