SPEED Tempus Project Sport Professions: Education, Employment, Development in the Balkan Region Tempus University of Rome “Foro Italico” P.zza Lauro De Bosis 15, 00135 Rome http://www.tempus-speed.eu [email protected] Tempus TEMPUS is the European Union’s programme which supports the reform and modernisation of higher education in the EU's surrounding area through institutional cooperation. It also aims to promote voluntary convergence of the higher education systems in the Partner Countries with EU developments in the field of higher education. With regards to the Western Balkans, Tempus contributes to preparing the candidate and potential candidate countries for a participation in the integrated Life Long Learning Programme. The 3-year SPEED project (December 2013 November 2016) has been developed by the University of Rome “Foro Italico”, three universities in Albania (Sports University of Tirana, University of Shkodra and University of Elbasan), the University of Prishtina (Kosovo under UNSC resolution 1244/99) and three universities in Serbia (University of Belgrade, University of Niš and University of Novi Sad), in partnership with three more universities in Europe (National & Kapodistrian University of Athens, University of Southern Denmark, University of Vienna). The main objectives of this multi-country project are: to extend the academic reform in Sport Science, involving additional Western Balkan Universities and countries, fostering curricula harmonisation in the Western Balkans and with the European Union in line with accession policies, promoting new teaching methodologies and quality assurance, exchanges through mobility and ICT technology; to develop a regional approach to Sport Science reflecting European standards and the manifold implications and potentialities of qualification in sport, as related to education, employment, development (sport centres, events, tourism, health, social integration, etc.), with a joint, vocationally oriented, Master and Life-Long Programs targeting Sport Science specialists, able to meet diverse job market needs, according to local specificities and personal preference.

TEMPUS is the European Union’s programme whichsupports the reform and modernisation of highereducation in the EU's surrounding area throughinstitutional cooperation. BALKANS (others)ТЕМПУС је програм Европске уније којиподржава реформу и модернизацију високогобразовањa у околним земљама Европскеуније, кроз институционалну сарадњу. ЦиљТЕМПУС-а је и подстицањепартнерских земаљада добровољно ускладе свој систем високогобразовања са достигнућима ЕУ у овој области.Када је реч о Западном Балкану, Темпусдоприноси припреми земаља кандидата зачластво у ЕУ и потенцијалних кандидата зау чешће у ин те грисанаом Про грамуцеложивотног учења.Трогодишњи пројекат SPEED (децембар 2013. -новембар 2016.) настао је сарадњомУниверзитета у Риму "Foro Italico", триуниверзитета у Албанији (Спортски универзитет уТирани, Универзитет у Скадру и Универзитет уЕлбасану), Универзитета у Приштини (Косово порезолуцији СБ УН 1244/99), три универзитета уСрбији (Универзитет у Београду, Универзитет уНишу и Универзитет у Новом Саду) и још триуниверзитета у Европи (Национални иКаподистрански универзитет у Атини,Универзитет ЈужнеДанске, Универзитет у Бечу).Основнициљевиовогмеђународног пројектасу:настављање реформе система високогобразовања у области спортских наука,укључивањем других земаља и универзитетаЗападног Балкана, усклађивањем наставнихпланова и програма земаља Западног Балканаса Европском унијом у складу са политикомприступања, увођењемнових наставнихметодаи система за заштиту квалитета, као и разменуискустава кроз програме мобилности иинформационе технологије;развој регионалног приступа науци у спорту поевропским стандардима, ко ји има јумогућности оспособљавања у спорту у смислуобразовања, запошљавањаиразвоја (спортскицентри, догађаји, туризам, здравство, социјалнаинтеграција, итд), помоћу заједничког стручнооријентисаног програма мастерских студија ицеложивотног учења, који може да задовољиразличите потребе тржишта у складу салокалним специфичностима и личнимсклоностима.
