CROWN LANDS ACT 1929: SECTION 5TAKE NOTICE that pursuant to the Crown Lands Act 1929, IPETER MACLAREN KENTISH, Surveyor-General and Delegateappointed by DOROTHY KOTZ, Minister for Environment andHeritage, Minister of the Crown to whom the administration ofthe Crown Lands Act 1929 is committed DO HEREBY:1. Resume the lands defined in The First Schedule.2. Dedicate the Crown Land defined in The Second Schedule as

I, DOROTHY KOTZ, Minister for Environment, Heritage and Aboriginal Affairs and Minister of the Crown for the time beingadministering the National Parks and Wildlife Act 1972, being of the opinion that it is desirable to conserve the animals and plants forwhich the land depicted as a sanctuary in the Schedule hereto is a natural habitat or environment and having received all necessaryconsents, hereby declare the said land to be a sanctuary for the purposes of the said Act.

Amending the District Court Rules 1992

Amendment No. 23 to the District Court RulesBY virtue and in pursuance of section 51 of the District Court Act 1991, and all otherpowers us thereunto enabling, We, Terence Anthony Worthington, Chief Judge andBarrie Kitchen and Peter Anthony John Herriman, Judges of the District Court of SouthAustralia, do hereby make the following Rules of Court:

1. These Rules may be cited as the ‘District Court Rules 1992 Amendment No. 23’.

2. The District Court Rules 1992, as amended by these Rules, may be cited as the‘District Court Rules 1992’.

3. That Rule IV-19.08 be amended by deleting the figures ‘19.08’ and inserting in lieuthereof ‘19.07’.

4. That Rule VI-20 be repealed and be replaced by the following:

‘VI-20 An appeal or an application for leave to appeal under section 67 (1) ofthe Guardianship and Administration Act 1993 (‘the Act’) is to be in Form VI-1.

VI-20A Upon the institution of an appeal or an application for leave to appealthe Registrar is to send by ordinary post addressed to their last known addressesa notice in Form VI-2 to:

(a) Such persons as the Guardianship Board has notified to the Court werepersons to whom notice of the hearing before the Board was given unders14(4)(d) of the Act;

(b) Such persons as the Board has notified to the Court were given anopportunity to make submissions to the Board under s14(6)(b) of the Act;

(c) Such other persons as the Registrar considers may have an interest in theappeal or application for leave to appeal other than the persons named in thenotice of appeal or the application for leave to appeal.

VI-20B(1) Any person who claims to have an interest in the appeal or theapplication for leave to apeal may file a notice of address for service in FormV1-3 which address may be changed by filing a further Form V1-3.

(2) The Registrar is to send by pre-paid post or other suitable means,notice of the date and time for the hearing as requested in any Form V1-3, butno notice need be sent of any adjourned hearing dates after the date firstnotified.

VI-20C Unless the Court otherwise directs, no appeal or application for leaveto appeal is to be listed for hearing other than for a preliminary hearing unless theappellant has filed and served a document setting out:

(a) Explicit grounds of appeal insofar as they are not already contained in thenotice of appeal;

(b) What leave, if any, is sought for evidence to be adduced on the appeal; and

(c) The grounds on which any dispensation is sought under s67(6) of the Actfrom the time requirements for the appeal or for an application for leave toappeal.’

Salisbury Downs District Centre Plan AmendmentReport—Draft for Public Consultation

THE City of Salisbury has prepared a draft Plan AmendmentReport to amend the Development Plan. The Amendmentapplies to the area identified as the Salisbury Downs DistrictCentre in the Salisbury Development Plan, and includes the landoccupied by the Hollywood Plaza Shopping Centre.

At present the Salisbury Development Plan containsrestrictions for the Salisbury Downs District Centre of 20 000 m2

for retail floor space and 4 500 m2 for bulky goods floor space.The centre has reached it’s limit for retail floor space.

The Plan Amendment Report will amend the DevelopmentPlan by removing the existing retail floor space restriction fromthe list of non-complying uses in the District Centre Zone andthe Principles of Development Control in policy areas 25 and 27;introducing a replacement advisory Principle of DevelopmentControl suggesting that the gross leasable core retail floor area ofthe District Centre Zone should not exceed 35 000 m2; makingminor amendments to the Principles of Development Controlrelating to the policy areas; and making minor amendments tothe Concept Plan to reflect current circumstances and revisedtraffic conditions.

The draft Plan Amendment Report and Statement ofInvestigations will be available for public inspection and purchaseduring normal office hours at the Council Office, 12 James Street,Salisbury, from Thursday, 20 May 1999 to Tuesday, 20 July1999.
