About the ShowFour singers front a live band, performing eleven songs from Australian cult giants The Go-Betweens. There’s a stripped-back gig vibe and a funny and evocative story: this is the musical reimagined for the indie crowd.

The Go-Betweens were one of Australia’s most influential bands, blending tuneful pop with intelligent and poetic lyrics. The Sound of a Finished Kiss features songs from the first incarnation of the band before Forster and McLennan decided to call it quits in December 1989, including Quiet Heart and Streets of Your Town from the internationally celebrated album 16 Lovers Lane.

Cutting across genres and generations, The Sound of a Finished Kiss is a universal ‘coming of age’ story. As four forty-somethings look back to the intense experiences of their youth, both fans and those new to the band will be reminded of music’s power to evoke the pivotal moments of our lives.

Now Look Here & Electric MoonThis new Australian musical combines Kate Wild’s (Now Look Here) intelligent and sensitive direction with James Lees’ (Electric Moon) impeccable musicianship.Kate has directed theatre in London, Bristol and Melbourne before establishing Now Look Here as the ‘go-to group for audiences that want to see intelligent, text-driven productions’. (Aussie Theatre)James has successfully brought together some of Brisbane’s best musicians and performers to create Electric Moon’s sell-out shows, including Ziggy Stardust (Brisbane Powerhouse, Melbourne Cabaret Festival) and Lou Reed’s Transformer (QPAC and Brisbane Powerhouse).
