Yard Check made easy. Missing trailers? Simply click the “Mark Lost” button. The trailer is moved to the lost box until it is found and inserted into its correct spot. Insert trailers or edit trailer condition as necessary. All equipment adjustments are updated to YMS in real time, and notifications are sent to management on any missing equipment.

Appointment ScheduleThe YMS appointment schedule is a highly configurable tool to increase throughput and decrease gate bottlenecks. You set the rules based on each dock’s capacity. How many loads per hour? How many units per hour? YMS will take it from there. Carriers can schedule their own appointment times online keeping you up to date and reducing conversation times. At a glance you can see the day’s complete inbound / outbound schedules, load types, priority status, and arrival status. Simply click and drag appointments to another time slot if there is a schedule change. Upload your inbound schedule from your TMS/WMS system or enter directly onto the YMS form.

The YMS Carrier Portal is packed full of tools to automate carrier communications and make your job easier. Customer driven permissions allow carriers to schedule appointments, receive equipment updates and view shipment details in real time on the Carrier Eagle View interface. The Carrier Eagle View allows approved carriers to login to a carrier portal and view their specific equipment on the yard providing a visual display of a carrier’s specific equipment, its status and shipment information in real time. Automated emails notify carriers when their equipment is loaded, empty and ready for pickup. The Carrier Appointment Schedule provides a portal for carriers to schedule appointments based on customer driven permissions.

Reefer Management
The YMS Reefer Management System provides a simple, easy and cost-effective system to monitor reefer temperatures and fuel levels. Reefer unit fuel level timers and product temperature requirements are preset in the YMS system. As reefers arrive at the gate their fuel level and temperature is recorded into the YMS system. Fuel Level Timers are set based on predetermined time periods for each fuel entry. Temperature Levels are preset in the system for each customer and their respective product temperature requirements. If fuel levels get low or temperatures exceed the product requirements YMS will notify management with alerts, emails and visual warnings.

Gate Automation
YMS Gate Automation removes the need for personnel at the gate. Shipment information is preloaded at the gate through the YMS Appointment Schedule. As drivers arrive and depart from the facility, they simply enter their appointment number into a kiosk. The YMS system will gather the needed information, assign a parking spot, open the gate, notify management and update Eagle View with the arriving shipments parking location.

WEEK 1-2: GATHER KEY INFORMATION
WEEK 2-3: CUSTOMIZATION
Select appointment of key points of contact who are able to approve the specific customizations for the facilities. Coordinate with key contact to gather information to customize the Yard Management Software to meet your specifications. Review Dock Door, Yard Location information, Inbound / Outbound screens, Receive Users and security levels, Create Carrier list, Update Load types and sub load types, Create Detention rules, Discuss hardware options, Schedule future meeting for review and training, and Order Hardware.
Conducted in user groups; Admin, Dispatchers, Drivers, Guards, Etc. YMS is very intuitive and easy to operate. Training Sessions are scheduled for 1 – 1-1/2 hours per group / shift with additional training available as necessary.
WEEK 4: REVIEW
WEEK 5: TRAINING
Production Software completed and activated. Complete yard audit and yard information entered into the program. YMS resources available and ready for additional support to assist the Go Live process.
WEEK 6: GO LIVE
Review customized software with customer to get familiar with the system and make any additional change requests.
System buildout will be complete and ready to launch at all facilities as outlined below. Our team is available to launch and train a new facility each week or every other week thereafter based on desired timeline.Minimal resources will be required for this project. As outlined below week one we will meet with your team (Project Manager, Site Managers and IT Resources) to gather site specific information, set implementation targets, order hardware and ensure internet connectivity will be ready for the launch date. We will build out your system over the next two weeks and get it back to your team for review in week 4. Training and implementation will take place in weeks 5 and 6. YMS will send two trainers to each facility to train your teams and launch the system. This process typically takes 2-3 days.
