Energy Efficient Lexan Thermoclear® traps air between layerts of Polycarbonate Sheet. For example, a 6mm sheet of Lexan Thermoclear® gives up to 40%greater efficiency over traditional glazing and gives an insulation value of 1.54.

High Light TransmissionThermoclear® sheet has approximately 98% of light transmission of normal glass and almost twice the light of opaque domes.

Light WeightLexan Thermoclear® sheet is around 70 times lighter than double walled glass.

Impact ResistantLexan Thermoclear® sheet is so tough it withstands the impact of a ball dropped from 7 feet onto a 6mm thick sheet without breakage. Lexan Thermoclear® sheet maintains it’s impact properties at temeratures ranging 40°C – 115°C.

Common questions about skylights...

Will there be a temperature increase when i have my skylight installed?There is no significant increase to temperature when an insulated Statewide Skylight is installed. This is because of the combined insulation effect of the double glazed polycarbonate skylight top, the air barrier in the light shaft and the design of the light diffuser at ceiling level.

Ceiling Panels / DiffusersClear prismatic (un-vented) diffusers consist of myriads of clear prisms which diffuse the light evenly over a wide area. The opaque diffuser offers a softer light and leadlight panels for a special enhancement to any room.
