Putting safety firstFaulty, damaged or badly maintainedequipment significantly increases the riskof potentially lethal accidents and often hasserious financial and legal consequences.
Regular inspection and maintenance iscritical to ensure that equipment remains fitfor purpose. More importantly, it shouldonly ever be undertaken by technicianswith the necessary specialist skills andexperience.
Rigorous assessmentTEAM cards are only issued to employeesof LEEA member companies. To earn fullmembership of the LEEA, companies mustpass a rigorous technical audit and aresubject to further regular audits as long asthey remain part of the Association.
The TEAM card proves that the holder haspassed one or more of the LEEA Diplomaexaminations, the industry recognisedqualifications for technicians responsiblefor the test, inspection and maintenance ofoverhead lifting equipment.
Reflecting the structure of the Diplomaprogramme, each TEAM card lists theholder’s precise qualifications. As a result,it is possible to ensure the lifting technicianworks only on equipment for which theyhave demonstrated the appropriate skillsand expertise.
Valid for three years, the TEAM card alsoprovides proof of the holder’s identity andemployer. All this information can beverified via the contact details shown onthe card.
