ACTS 27:1 - 28:10

God makes all things work together for good for those

who love God.

After Paul met Jesus, he became an apostle of the Lord Jesus. An apostle is someone whom

Jesus sends out to tell others about Jesus.

• Do you remember how Paul met Jesus?

• Many people came to know Jesus because of Paul, but do you think that some people didn’t like Paul?

One time, Paul was taken as a prisoner even though he had not done anything wrong.

• Where was Paul and the other prisoners and soldiers going? How were they getting to Rome? (By

sailing on a ship)

• What happened as they sailed on the water? (There was a bad storm – Acts 27)

• Were the people on the boat in danger?

• The storm was so bad…what could they not even see in the sky? Did they have hope that they

would be saved out of the storm? (Acts 27:20)

• Who came to Paul in the night? What did the angel tell Paul? (Acts 27:23-24)

There were 276 people on the ship and everybody was saved…just like God said.

• The boat was broken up, but where were the people now? (Acts 28:1)

• How did the people on Malta treat the soldiers and prisoners who had shipwrecked onto the island?

• As they were building a fi re, what came out and bit Paul’s hand?• What did Paul do with the viper? Did Paul get hurt from the viper bite? What did the people think?

There was a man on the island named Publius and his father was sick.

• What did Paul do for Publius’ father? Who else did they bring to Paul to be healed?

• Did God use a bad storm and a scary shipwreck to help the people on Malta get to know God

better…because Paul was there?

During Paul’s life, he told many people about Jesus and how they could be saved from sin.

• Can we be like Paul and tell others about Jesus too?

• It wasn’t always easy for Paul, but did he keep obeying God? Should we obey God also?

Sometimes life is scary like a storm; we don’t always like it or understand what’s going on.

• If we love God, can we always trust Him that He will be with us and take care of us?

• Can Jesus make good things happen from scary or sad things, just like He did in this story?

• Let’s thank Jesus for loving us so much and for always being with us.
