FOURTH SEAL: FLYING EAGLE ANOINTING

Reach over, if you will, and turn in your Bibles again to Revelation,

chapter 6.

I realize I held you a long time last night. And by the grace of the Lord,

I’ll try not to do that tonight. It wasn’t intentional. I was just... I really

was honestly surprised when I saw... I hadn’t seen the clock. I pulled it

out there now so maybe I can see it. I honestly hadn’t looked. I hadn’t

looked at my watch. I hadn’t seen the clock. And when I looked, and it

said 9:40, I was really surprised. I’m not going to apologize, though,

because I believe the Lord knows what He’s doing. And I’m just going

to trust Him.

Brother Cliff called today from England. And he said, “I heard you say,

Brother Shelley, that you’re expecting a nice crowd for campmeeting

this year. It’s going to be the dedication of the new church and all. And

he said, “I just want to make sure you’re going to have room for my

family because I’m checking on the tickets. Hallelujah.” I said, “Well,

it’s just too bad that Brother Daniel and Jonathan couldn’t just stay with


us until you all come.” But I think that puts you a little bit over your

three months probably, wouldn’t it? Would you just stay with us other-

wise? Are you homesick? Are you a little homesick? Yes, they’re very

homesick, Brother Cliff. Yes, yes, yes. Hallelujah. But you do miss your

mom and dad, right? They do miss their mom and dad and their family.

But they’re not so very homesick.

We just appreciate the goodness of the Lord for letting them be here.

And I’m so happy that Brother Cliff and Sister Donna are just believing

that the Lord will make a way for them to be able to come from the

United Kingdom for campmeeting time. And the baby is due somewhere

between now and the end of the month. And so we’re just praying very

hard for her. She’s had a time with her blood pressure and different

things. And she’s on some medication, and that makes her tired. So

Brother Cliff was taping the hookup. You see, it’s rather late there in the

night. In the early morning, he taped it so she could go to bed and rest

and then hear it during the day today.

So that was good that she... she better have her rest because she is not

sure... she’s had maybe some little signs and things, and it’s been false

every time. But sooner or later, the real thing will come, won’t it? And

she’ll know the difference. And we’ll have a little baby. Praise the Lord.

Hallelujah. They didn’t have any babies now. Theirs are getting big


enough that they don’t have any little babies. So she’ll be having a lap

baby again, an arm baby again. May the Lord bless her.

Welcome to you that are listening in on the hookup tonight – most of

our regular people.

Revelation, chapter 6, verse 7 said.

And when he had opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the

fourth beast say, Come and see. And I looked, and behold a pale

horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed

with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the

earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with

the beasts of the earth.

And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls

of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony

which they held:

And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and

true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on

the earth?

And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said

unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their


fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they

were, should be fulfilled. (Revelation 6:7-11)

Let’s pray. Father, how we thank You tonight for Your goodness and

Your mercy. Lord, we just pray that by the power of the Holy Ghost You

will move every hindrance out of this service. Lord, I don’t know exactly

what I felt. I’ve been very, very sensitive to something. I don’t know

what it is. I don’t know if some husband and wife fussed all the way to

church and brought that here. I’m not sure. Maybe some women have

been talking. I’m not sure exactly what it is. But I just pray that You will

allow us, Lord, to reach above that and hear something from heaven.

We bind every hindering hand of the enemy. We rebuke you, Satan, in

the Name of the Lord Jesus. We command you to take your hands off of

this service.

We pray, Lord, that You’ll send the same glory, the same anointing that

we had in this house last night and that our minds and hearts and spirits

will be open to hear Your Word and that Satan will be ultimately con-

fused and defeated when we leave here. And we’ll give You the glory

and the honor and the praise for it all. For it’s in the Name of Yeshua,

the Messiah, we pray. Amen. And the Church said, “Amen.”

You may be seated.

Hallelujah. Hallelujah. (How about you brothers coming in.) Hallelujah.


Now we don’t want to take a lot of time to go back over

everything that was said last night. In fact, I’d like to move along as

quickly as possible. But on my mind all day long, I’ve been thinking

about the mixture of those colors. I’ve been thinking about how in that

first Seal when it was opened up there came the white horse and then

the red horse and then the black horse. And when all of those colors

came together and the flying eagle, the beast that was represented by

the face of a flying eagle, he called out to John, “Come and see what

was in that Seal, what was going on in the earth because of the Seal

being loosed.”... And when he got over there, he saw this pale horse.

The prophet of God explained to us that it was the colors of all the other

horses mixed together. It was the evil of all the other ages mixed to-

gether and come out.

In fact, I read just today where he said it was Hell being unleashed on

the earth – Hell’s fury – the fury of Hell. (I’ll get it right in a minute.)

The fury of Hell was being unleashed on the earth. And when you begin

to think about... if you believe... I don’t know where you believe we are

in the Seals. But I believe we’re living under that fourth Seal. And we

could say we’re living under the fourth and the fifth because we found

out last night that the fifth Seal and the fourth Seal are running simul-

taneously, because the fourth Seal reveals the things that are happening


in the earth at the same time that the fifth Seal reveals the things that

are happening in the heavenlies.

The thing that impressed my mind and stayed in my mind tonight was

I heard Brother Branham say when it came time to bring that fifth Seal,

that we might speak about briefly tonight or might have to wait until

tomorrow night, I heard him say, “What is this?” He said, “All the... It

came time now to open up the fifth Seal.” He said, “There was no beast.

There was no beast to come and say, ‘Come and see,’ because all the

four beasts had already done their job.” He said, “So when the fifth Seal

came, there was no horse rider under the fifth Seal. And there was no

beast to come and open it up. There was something else.” He said, “It

was revealing what was going on in heaven at the same time that ca-

lamity was falling on the earth.”

Somebody in this place needs to get a revelation of the importance of

hiding in the Ark of God’s safety, because, you know, we’re gettin’ along

all right, right now. Things are going okay in our life and in our society.

But I want you to know, if the Bible is correct and the messages that

we’ve heard are correct, America is headed for hard times.

Now we’re reading every day what’s going on in Filugia. And we say

that’s the most terrible thing we’ve ever heard. I read today where a

reporter who is associated with another person that reports often to us


out of Jerusalem was working as an interpreter in Iraq and was not go-

ing to cover what was going on there in Filugia – was not going for that

purpose. But was going... had to go through there on his way to cover

another story. And in doing so, he innocently crossed a bridge, not

knowing that that was going to be the scene, the final scene, of what

had happened that day. Because, he said, there hung two of those Amer-

ican contractors that had been burned alive and drugged through the

streets. And what was left of their bodies had been hung up on the

bridge. And he had no idea exactly what had been going on until they

drove across that bridge and saw those bodies hanging there. And I’m

telling you that must have been something that he’ll remember as long

as he lives.

When I was just a young man, I had a vision one time. I didn’t know

anything about the End-time. I didn’t know anything about great men

of God or prophets of God. I’d never heard of Brother Branham. I’d never

heard of Clarence Larkin. I’d never heard of a lot of people in those days.

But I had a vision. And I saw a barren land. And I saw a crater that was

miles and miles across. And it looked like, in my mind, miles deep. But

I’m sure it probably wasn’t miles deep. But it looked very deep and miles

across. And I asked the Lord in that vision, “Lord, what am I seeing?”

And the Lord said, “You’re seeing the United States of America.” And I

said... from the remnant of it, it looked like where a city had been... And


I said, “Lord, it looks like a city.” And the Lord said, “It was New York

City.” Now it was just a crater.

I didn’t know then what I know now, that a man of God was given great

visions, great revelations ahead of his time. And he began to see some

of these things. He saw things pertaining to Mussolini. He saw things

concerning Communism and Socialism and Fascism and all these differ-

ent things coming together. He saw in a vision an egg that was shaped

like a car... excuse me... you knew what I mean... some egg. (Laughing.)

Sorry. He saw a car that was shaped like an egg. And he said it was

moving down the road. But the thing about it was no one was paying

any attention to maneuvering this car. He said, “In fact, they were all

sittin’ around the table playing a game.” And the car was moving on its

own accord, it looked like.

And you know it wasn’t long after that that that was released in the

world’s fair – the prototype of that car was released in the World’s Fair.

And still to this day, every now and then in some of the major magazines

of America, they’ll show that car and how it’s been improved. And the

thing is they’re trying to do everything they can to make it economical.

But the only reason why it hasn’t already been released en masse is

because they would have to build these smart roads. And there are sec-

tions of America that they’ve already built these smart roads that they


can put those vehicles on, and those vehicles will stay in the road auto-

matically. But they’re having a problem making that technology afford-

able to place in a car that everybody could, perhaps, purchase on pay-

ments. That’s the only thing.

But when a man of God saw that, it seemed like it would never be. But

it was. Many things were in that vision. I wished I had ’em all jotted

down right now. If I had time, I could think a minute and give ’em all

to you. But did you know there... ? Oh, I remember one. He saw a strong

woman leading America. You know, when we saw Hillary Clinton, we

thought she might possibly be this strong woman. You know, she might,

could still be. I don’t know because she’s not through with government.

But I don’t think it was just a president’s wife. I think it’s going to be

something more important than that. And the world doesn’t seem

ready... The United States doesn’t seem ready for a female leader. But

you just never know.

I heard a man of God... no wonder he was so hated and criticized... he

said a very hard thing. He said, “A great evil has been done in America.

The woman has been given the right to vote.” Wow.

You know, the world would read that. Can you imagine some of these

ditties reading that? Oh, how mad they would get at that old prophet

because he said, “An evil has been done in America because women has

been given the right to vote.” But do you know what? It was because of


that women’s vote... I’ll tell you, it is evil. You know what the sin was?

Murder. The sin that was caused because women were given the right

to vote, eventually, the sin became murder. The blood stain of murder

is on the hands of American women because they were given the right

to vote because it was the women who massed together and voted in

the rights of abortion. And it was the women who came together and

voted in a playboy like John F. Kennedy.

And that doesn’t mean... Listen, you’ve got to understand, there’s a dif-

ference between a woman and a lady. There’s a difference between a

woman of the world and a child of God, a daughter of the Lord. There’s

a day and night difference. Say, “Amen.” But when he said that, it

sounded ludicrous. But history has proven that now America stands

guilty before God of murder. What a hypocritical nation we’re living in

tonight. I’m very patriotic. But I can be patriotic because I can be honest

about this nation. It’s one of the most hypocritical nations in the world.

Thank God for its freedom.

But they just moved to pass a law that would make things like what

happened to Lacy Peterson... that they’re able now to take her unborn

child that died with her... And they found the baby floating in the water

beside her, laying there next to her. And they’re just passing the legis-

lature to make that a separate murder. Her unborn baby died because

of how she was treated in this horrible act. And so this man, whoever,


her husband or whoever they’ll finally prosecute, can be prosecuted not

for one murder, but two, because of this unborn baby. But in the same

state, a woman can have the right to go and murder her own child, and

it’s not called murder. Do you see the hypocrisy?

We’re still spending more money than we’ll ever be able to have in try-

ing to settle Iraq. I don’t know how in the world we’ll ever be able to

pay to do what needs to be done in that nation. And they’re killing like

crazy. You heard about the bomb that the coalition forces had to drop

today on the mosque because they were shooting out of the mosque,

killing our marines. And they had to drop a bomb on the mosque – a

five-hundred pound bomb on the mosque. I don’t know when it’ll ever,

ever, ever be over. And yet I was sitting on the platform thinking,

“Thank You, Lord. I want to thank You anyway. I want to thank You for

the one great thing that has happened in that terrible, terrible situation,

and that is Saddam Hussein is a captured man.” He’ll never ever be able

to take those ethnics in his land and murder them with gas again. He’ll

never be able to do the thing... by God’s grace and God willing, he’ll

never be a threat to the world again because our president had the cour-

age to go and do something about it.

So I’m not criticizing that. But I’m telling you, you let Israel... you let

Israel go and try to do away with the leader of Hamas, and all the lead-

ers want to condemn that. But it’s all right for us to do the things we’ve


had to do. I’m telling you, it’s... And if you think that America is im-

mune... the World Trade Center, 9/11, why, that’s nothing. That’s not

what I saw. I saw a crater. I saw utter destruction. And I didn’t know of

anybody named William Branham. I didn’t know of anybody named

Dave Wilkerson. It was years later that I read the book, “Set the Trumpet

to Thy Mouth.” Any of you ever read that book? You should because

that book will give you many, many, many, many reasons why a be-

liever shouldn’t have a television in their home. If that’s the only good

that ever came out of it, that’s something good come out of that book.

But in that book, David Wilkerson tells a vision where he saw the plain,

this open desolate looking plain, stretching out. And he asked the Lord

what it was. And God said, “That’s America. That’s the destruction that’s

coming on America.”

It’s quiet in here. And I didn’t know, but you know, one of those visions

that the prophet had from the thirties that’s told everywhere and pub-

lished in books and magazines and on the Internet... do you know what

one of them was? He saw America in great desolation. He saw a great

expanse of land totally annihilated, totally wiped out. And you know,

we sit here tonight, and we don’t think anything like that is possible

while our government sits up there and harasses one another and argues

with one another about what could have happened to prevent 9/11, and

while they’re calling Condoleezza Rice and putting her on the spot and


making fun of her and making fun of the Vice President and all this

crazy stuff that’s going on...

The Democratic leader out there has spent more money now than ever

has been before in the history of the Democratic party for an election.

It’s already been spent. More money has been spent on his campaign

than has ever been spent before because the Democrats are determined

to replace President Bush. They’re determined to do it. But I want you

to know, they don’t have... nor do the Republicans have the last say. It

will still be God Almighty that’ll have the last say. He will. He will. I

tell you, it’ll take His hand, if that’s His will. It’ll sure take His hand to

carry it out.

But when you think about those things and you think how safe we feel

and how we live, the way we live – step out of the safety of God’s Word,

step out of the safety of God’s message, do our own thing, and decide

that when we’re ready to do right, we’ll do right and serve the Lord –

then we’ll serve the Lord... And you know what? The Bible itself, with-

out knowing what we know, without the prophets that God has sent,

without the visions that God has sent, if we just look right to the literal

Word, the Word of God tells us that life is uncertain and unsure. And

it’s just as unsure in America and Canada as it is in the Middle East

because we’re bound for something. We’re in for something. Oh, what

a joy, what a joy to know that we’re hiding in the Ark of God’s safety.


We may not be walking in the perfection that we desire to walk in, but

I know with every fiber of my being that just like the anointing of the

lion did its job, the anointing of the ox did its job, the anointing of the

man did its job, I know that that great anointing of the flying eagle is

going to be what we need to protect us and to keep us. Somebody said,

“Why do you say something like that?” Well, the man of God said, “God

placed these four beasts in position to guard the Ark of the Covenant.”

The reason why they left the earth and went in is because the Ark of the

Covenant was transported to heaven. He said, “They stand there before

the Throne.”

And you know what else he said? He said, “You know, those four beasts

are represented by the four Gospel writers: Matthew, Mark, Luke, and

John.” Remember that? And he said, “Do you know why God placed

them there in that order? Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John?” Do you

know why God put both the lion and the ox and the man and the eagle

there? He said, “God did it for a purpose. They’re guarding something.”

Remember what he said they’re guarding? Tell me if you remember.

You know, you can’t remember everything. I know, I don’t remember

half of what I’ve read. Does anybody remember what he said those four

Gospel beasts, creatures, were guarding? He said, “Just like they were

put there in the Tabernacle of Moses to guard the Ark of the Covenant,

just like Ezekiel and John saw them before the Throne guarding the Ark

of God,” he said, “they were placed right there in the New Testament,


Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, as guards.” He said, “They’re standing

watch and guarding over something precious.”

Anybody remember what he said? He said, “They’re guarding the Acts

of the Apostles.” He said, “He placed them there right in front of the

Book of Acts because,” he said, “they’re guarding the acts of the Apos-

tles.” And remember what he told us? He said, “Why, that’s not really

the name of the book anyway.” He said, “It ought to be rewritten. The

title should be ‘The Acts of the Holy Ghost in the Apostles.’” When I

read that today, oh, I about come out of my seat because I thought, “Yes,

Lord. Now I know part of the importance of why You would want us to

get a glimpse of this.” It’s because those same creatures that guarded

the Ark of the Covenant in the Tabernacle of Moses, and they guard the

Ark of the Covenant before the Throne, and they were placed in the

New Testament there symbolically to guard the Acts of the Holy Ghost...

And what’s going on in our day, the Holy Ghost is still doing acts. He’s

still performing miracles. He’s still blessing and encouraging and pro-

tecting His people. Hallelujah. And so, ever more the reason why we

need those anointings. Because he said, “If this vine ever puts forth an-

other branch, it will be exactly like the original church on the Day of

Pentecost.” I want to see that, Lord. I want to see that kind of a people.

I want to live long enough to see that day where there is no jealousy in


His Body, don’t you? Say “Amen” even if you don’t mean it – just one

time, just for me.

I would love to see that hour where in God’s Body there is no jealousy

among us. No division. No hypocrisy. No double standard. No living one

life all the week and pretending to be something we’re not when we

come into God’s House. Oh, he said, “If that vine ever puts forth another

branch, it’ll be exactly like the original church on the Day of Pentecost

– same signs, same wonders, same miracles, same anointings, same

glory.” Hallelujah.

And you know what else he said? He said, “You know,” he said, there

would have to be another Book of Acts. There would have to be a second

book of Acts written to contain the testimonies of all the things that God

is doing among His people.” He said, “I believe that’s the way it’s going

to be.”

I believe the very same thing. I believe while America is reeling and

rocking under the beginnings of the harsh judgments of God, I believe

while the world is coming to that hour of suffering like she’s never

known before and destruction like she’s never seen, I believe right in

the midst of the beginnings of all that calamity, God’s going to be doing

the greatest thing that He’s ever done other than coming Himself and

paying the price on Calvary. He’s going to be taking a little group to

Himself from all over the world, placing them right under His divine


care and protection, filling them with the Holy Ghost and Fire, mani-

festing Himself among them until there’s no sickness present in the

Body.

I read right in the Seal Book today about that hour that’s coming where

he said, “I believe those missing limbs...” I know I just mentioned this,

but I thought I’d put it in there again just so you’ll know where it came.

He said, “I believe that day is coming where missing limbs will be re-

stored.” That don’t sound like the church we see now. But I don’t... that

don’t hinder me. That don’t discourage me. That don’t make me want

to throw up my hands and quit. That makes me want to press a little

harder. That makes me want to pay a little greater price. That makes

me want to pray a little longer, to show a little more love to somebody,

do a little something different that God would have us to do so we can

come to that hour.

Ain’t that amazin’? The world’s going to be going through things like

she’s never gone. And over here somewhere in the spirit realm, God’s

going to have a people – pouring His glory out upon them. Because

those same four creatures that guarded the Ark of the Covenant, and

those same four creatures that guard the Throne of God, and those same

four creatures that watched over these Seals as they were being loosed

and those same four creatures that guarded the Book of Acts, I believe

God will send those – that same, very same anointing – upon that little


Bride in the last days to watch over her as God is doing another Book of

Acts among her – great and mighty things.

I can’t believe I’m saying those things and you’re not responding any

more... any more violently than you are. I’m going to give you another

opportunity. I’m going to stop right here and give you another oppor-

tunity to give God glory for those promises. I didn’t make ‘em. I didn’t

make ‘em. He did. And we need it. I tell you, we need it. I want to say

again, we need it. I’m tired of pettiness. We need a move of God. We

need the Lord. I tell you, I’m ready, I’m ready. You think you’re ready.

I think I’m ready. But I’m beginning to feel... Oh, we need that pouring

out of God’s Spirit. He said it would be like it was in the days of the

Apostles – the Holy Ghost that fell there on Ananias and Sapphira and

exposed their sin, and they fell dead. He said, “God’s able to do that

very thing.” He said, “In fact, that’s exactly what it’s going to take.” He

said, “It’ll take some... it’ll take an Ananias and a Sapphira.” He said,

“In fact, it’ll take a few of them.”

Wouldn’t it be wonderful if the Lord would spare us and not let any of

us drop dead, but just call out our situation? God, just embarrass us,

reveal us, uncover us. Just don’t kill us. Lord, let us live. But, please, if

we’re lying to the Holy Ghost, expose us big time because we’re Your

children, and we want to serve You and we want to be right. And we

don’t want to deceive and lie to one another. But more importantly than


that, we don’t want to find ourselves lying to the Holy Ghost and keep-

ing back a part of those things that don’t belong to us – they belong to

God. And when I say that, I’m not just speaking about our monetary

gain either. I’m talking about all things that we hold onto that are not

ours to hold onto in the first place. How many of you understand what

I’m saying?

Well, it was the flying eagle that came. I’ve got to hurry. It was the

flying eagle that came. Maybe you’d like to just read a little something

here with me in the Book of Hosea. Quickly.

Hosea, chapter 8.

For those of you that would like to understand why we’re likening this

eagle to the prophetic – and specifically to a prophet – we find that

analogy drawn for us in the Old Testament in the Book of Hosea, chapter

8. That... one of those very same phrases that we have heard before in

the Book of Joel. The prophet Joel said this. We mentioned this phrase

a moment ago when we were speaking about David Wilkerson.

Hosea 8, verse 1 says,

Set the trumpet to thy mouth. He shall come as an eagle against the

house of the Lord, because they have transgressed my covenant, and

trespassed against my law. Israel shall cry unto me, My God, we know

thee.


Israel hath cast off the thing that is good: the enemy shall pursue him.

They have set up kings, but not by me: they have made princes, and I

knew it not: of their silver and their gold have they made them idols,

that they may be cut off. (Hosea 8:1-4)

You see, God coming prophetically with judgment is likened here in

Hosea 8:1 to the coming of an eagle – a terrible swift eagle. And the

reason why the prophetic is typed in the Bible to the eagle is... we have

heard this... He said, “The higher you go, the farther you can see.” He

didn’t say the clearer. He said, “The farther you can see. The higher you

go, the farther you can see.”

Any of us that’s ever climbed a mountain or climbed up a tower... and I

do that, you know. I get winded, and I’ve been heavy, but I do it a lot

of times. If I’m in a place overseas and they’ve got a lookout tower, I

climb it anyway. I may not get up as fast as somebody does, but I make

it up to the top because I enjoy the vantage point of seeing things from

a higher level.

And God said, “That’s what the eagle is like.” He’s able to go up high

and look down and see what others cannot see. And that’s why God

saved the eagle for last. I’m so glad that it wasn’t just a lion that roared

under the fourth Seal. I’m glad that it wasn’t just an ox that carried the

load. I’m glad that we didn’t just have to depend on the shrewdness of

man. But as we come to Laodicea and underneath that fourth Seal when


the world is so full... and it’s getting fuller every day... of this wrath and

all of these things that are about to befall us, I’m glad that God knew

exactly which of those beasts He would save to the last moment. He

knew exactly which one was appropriate for this hour. He knew exactly

what kind of an anointing it was going to take to call out a remnant.

“Come out of her, my people, and be separate,” saith the Lord.

And He didn’t just say that. Let me tell you what else He said. He said,

“Come ye out of her and be separate, saith the Lord.” And he said, “And

be not partakers of her sin.” Hallelujah.

We know that great whorish system of religious Babylon. But the Bible

tells us that she is a mother of harlots. She has daughters. And the

daughters are just like their mother. And we read where he comes, and

on him these words are written. These blasphemous names are written

on him. We heard a man of God say some things about that that people

didn’t like so good. He said, “I’ll tell you what those harlot daughters

are. They are these denominations that man have gotten together and

thought up. These creeds and dogmas that man have made to pull peo-

ple under their authority and out from under the Word.” And he said,

“These blasphemous names,” he said, “I’ll tell you exactly what they

are. They’re Assembly of God, Church of God, Baptist, Methodist, Pres-

byterian, Episcopalian...”

Somebody said, “I can’t see it that way.”


Well, I’ll tell you whether you do or not, it has become in this hour

blasphemy because I read... I read in the newspaper, and you do too,

how the church... I tell you, the Catholic Church, they don’t have time

to pray. They don’t have time to be spiritual any more because they’re

doing so much damage control to try to cover up for these queer priests.

All over the world, they’re having to cover up for themselves. The great-

est campaign of damage control the Catholic Church has ever had is

working right now. And you send these priests to prison, and these bish-

ops to prison, and you’ll find out what the rest of the prisoners think

about ‘em. They just recently killed one – murderers, and thieves, and

all kinds of wicked people. But I tell you, most of them folk, they don’t

care nothing about somebody abusing children. So they just got one of

’em in there and beat him to death. This wasn’t just some little old man

who looked over twenty or thirty people. We’re talking about men over

hundreds and thousands of... we’re talking about bishops and parish

leaders. And all of these things have gone on in the name of religion.

And here is a church world that’s trying to convince people to serve a

god of confusion because they say He’s One, but they emphasize and

preach and beat and pound that He’s three. And, therefore, people don’t

even know who He is. And they go down in the water, and they take on

titles. They don’t even know enough to take on the very Name of God.

Look what it took. It took more than a lion. It took more than the

shrewdness of man. It took more than the burden-bearing anointing of


the ox. It took the anointing of an eagle, that prophetic, that would take

right up and go right up straight to the heaven and see the very mind

of God and bring that Truth right back down to us.

Revelation 10:7 said it so clearly. “But in the days of the voice of the

seventh Angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should

be finished.” God already indicated in His Word in the last part of the

Book of the Revelation that this Truth would be revealed by the spirit

of prophecy and, specifically, by a prophet because God sent a prophet

to John in the heavenly realm and began to tell him some of these

things. And he fell down and worshipped this one as an Angel of the

Lord. And what did the voice say? What did this being say to him? He

said, “Get up. Get up. Don’t worship me. I’m one of your brethren.” So

God showed us right in the Book of the Revelation the importance of

the prophetic, the importance of the spiritual gift and the importance of

recognizing the messenger who would come in that great spirit of Elijah.

Oh, here’s what I believe. I believe just like God used Wesley, just like

God used Luther, I believe God certainly used Brother Branham in our

day. But I do not believe that Brother Branham was the seventh Angel.

I believe the seventh Angel was what the Bible teaches that these seven

Spirits were. They were the Spirits of God that stood before the Throne.

And God sent one of those Spirits into each of the seven Church Ages.

And, therefore, you cannot cut them apart and divide them. You can’t


cut God up three ways. You surely can’t cut God up seven ways. It was

the Angel of the Lord who came and ministered. And He became... for

a great portion of time... He became a voice and a spokesman and a

messenger that God used in mighty ways for that Angel.

But I want you to know, as I said last night, God always takes His man,

but He never takes His Spirit. That same Spirit is upon the little Body

Bride of Jesus Christ today to keep us in line with the Word, to keep us

under the anointing of the Holy Ghost, to keep us walking forward. It is

not the will of God that we stand still and say, “We’ve got it all. We’ve

heard it all. We’ve done it all. Everything is finished.” It’s the will of

God that we put our shoulder to the plow and push ahead with every-

thing that is within us. Oh, brother, there’s a great prize awaiting us if

we won’t sit down on the job. I know what some people think. They

think if a few press in, it’s going to spill back on the rest. But I don’t

believe that at all. I believe there will be forerunners who will go in and

taste the glory first.

But I’m telling you, you won’t be able to sit and do any ’ol thing you

want to do and be a part of what God’s doing in the last day. You want

to... you will not be able to allow your children to be wild and untamed

and not put them under the Word of God daily. Daily they have to be

brought under the Word of God just like you and I who are mature and

old enough. We have to bring ourselves under the Word of God. We


have to do it. We have to get that Book out and see where we’ve erred

and see where we’ve made mistakes. (You don’t have to help me now –

He will.) We have to get that Word out and see what God would require

of us. And you know you start seeing yourself in the mirror of the Word.

And you start praying and you say, “That’s missing in my life. Lord,

that’s what I need.”

And you know our children don’t have the ability to do that. Some of

‘em because they’ve not received the genuine Baptism of the Holy Ghost,

they don’t have the ability to do that. And that’s why it is our responsi-

bility to monitor their behavior and bring them under the Word. Bring

them under the Word, boy. That wasn’t the way we came in. Maybe

that’s why. Maybe that’s why. Maybe that’s the reason why. Somebody

said to me, “I’m too tired to do it.” You better not be too tired to take

the opportunity to bring your family under the Word of God. You’d bet-

ter take time while there is time to teach ‘em the statutes of God.

Oh, I’m telling you what. People have gone home over these years. I

didn’t mean to say this, but I wouldn’t take it back. You don’t pay me

enough. I promise you, my salary is not big enough here to cause me to

want to lose my own soul over compromising in this old pale horse age.

Amen?

I tell you right now, we’ve gone home and criticized the standards of

the church. We’ve gone home and criticized the standards of the church


in front of our children. We’ve gone home and criticized one another in

front of our children. We’ve gone home and said everything that we

want to say in front of our children until it’s come to the point that so

many of them don’t have confidence in anybody here.

None of us are going to be able to help ‘em. It’s going to take God be-

cause... We love one another. Yes, I know that. We love one another.

Sure we do. I know we do. I don’t doubt that at all. We just don’t love

one another with a pure love and a perfect love. That’s what we have

to work on. I know we love each other. You just let somebody be down

and see if these people don’t love. They love one another. I know that.

But we’ve got to find a more perfect love. A more perfect love don’t just

say, “I love you,” when you need me. “I’m going to come and bring you

dinner.”

But perfect love covers a lot, looks over a lot, you know. Amen. You

know what I’m trying to say. And perfect love... we prefer one another.

Read... Just read 1 Corinthians, chapter 13, and just see what God’s love

and God’s charity is all about. I’m not trying to give anybody a whippin’.

I’m just telling you something. If you keep undermining, and undermin-

ing, and undermining the standard, undermining it all the way home,

and undermining it in your home, until when I preach what we’ve al-

ways preached and believed... And it’s almost, sometimes now, a smirk.

I almost, sometimes now, get a smirk. And I feel like, almost, sometime,


I’m wasting my breath because I know some of you are either intention-

ally with words going to undo it – or in practice.

I mean, I don’t think most of you would sit down and say, “Pastor is

wrong.” Well, some of you have. But I don’t think most of you would

just sit your children down... I mean, if you do, it’s dangerous to do that.

He could be wrong. He may be wrong. But you should try to find a good

way of going about it. But I don’t think most of you would sit ‘em down

and say he’s wrong. But I tell you, just very, almost innocently, you

allow those things to go on that are spoken against and about. And it

spreads around.

Oh, last night I’m standing up here worshipping the Lord, trying to dis-

cern the spirit I was feeling. I looked down, and there’s a toy gun – a

toy gun laying at my altar there. And I thought, “What a testimony.

What a testimony.” Ever since I’ve been here, before a lot of you came,

I’ve said that... I really have a strong conviction that guns are not toys.

I’ve got a strong conviction that a child comes to an age where he’s able

to handle a gun. And he needs his father there to teach him, and so

forth. But I really feel like, and I say that... and I say it with a lot of

support and a lot of help by a lot of people who aren’t very spiritual

because there’s many psychologists out there that write articles that say

that violence has been so desensitized by the playing of guns – playing

with guns and shooting one another.


I’ve tried... You know, my boys came home after being with the other

boys in the church, and they want to shoot. And I say to them... Of

course, if we buy a little man that has a gun, we cut it off or throw it

away. If somebody gives us something like that, if we can’t cut the gun

off of it, we throw the whole thing away. We’ve spent... we’ve throwed

hundreds of dollars worth of toys that have been given to the children,

throwed them away because it couldn’t be sanctified, couldn’t be

cleaned up. I didn’t want my children to think that that’s what life is

about, shooting one another. So we kinda’ made a little compromise and

said, “Well, if you’re playin’ with sticks and you’re shootin’ deer, that’s

one thing. But the next thing you know, it’s not just deer. It’s army. And

you see them pointin’ it at one another. One of them made the mistake

in play one time while I was working at my desk of pointin’ it at me.

And that’s when I jumped up from the desk and waved that thing in the

air. And I said, “If you ever point that stick at me again, I am going to

use it as a rod.”

But, anyway, all of those things that get in... And you see, the reason

why there needs to be a standard in a church is because we have fellow-

ship one with another. I mean, you don’t have to even agree. You don’t

even have to agree. You don’t even have to believe... You may think I’m

absolutely ridiculous about that. But to keep funneling it to your chil-

dren, and then them bringing it around other children of families that

have a conviction, you’re out of order. You need somebody to tell you


you’re out of order. You’re just out of line to do such as that. Nobody

has any right to do something like that.

And we could go on and on and on. And if we’re not careful as we go

along, we’re going to find ourselves out of that ark of safety. There’s a

protection that comes by walking in obedience. We’re going to find our-

selves out from under cover. John Bevere wrote a book that would be

too much for most people to read called “Under Cover.” We’re going to

find ourselves out from under a covering if we’re not careful. And we’re

going to reap it. And that’s what I... Oh, how I hate to see such as that.

I don’t mind the children jumping around up here in the altar. I know

it’s not always reverent. If it ever becomes so excessive that we can’t

stand it, well, we’ll... and, at times, we’ve had to calm it down. I’m more

distracted by children sitting and talking in the church than I am during

praise and worship when they’re jumping around. Maybe they step on

one another’s foot, and one hollers, “Ouch.” I mean, that’s not very rev-

erent, is it? But I’d rather them be doing that than sleeping on a mat

and missing the entire service. I’d rather be training them to worship

God because, let’s face it, a lot of them have parents that ain’t gonna

dance. A lot of them have grandparents that ain’t gonna worship the

Lord. So if we can do something to encourage them and just pray that

when they get to that place where they don’t want to hug their mamas


and daddies any more... Isn’t it amazing how loving they are now? My

goodness.

My boys will come up and kiss me. Before I know it, they’ve kissed me

right on the mouth and say good night. You think they’re going to do

that when they’re thirteen? Well, they may not kiss me on the mouth.

But I sure do hope and pray that I can maintain that kind of a close

relationship. When I knelt down the other night with the boys to pray,

and I let them pray first, and the things that come out of their mouth in

prayer, and the people that they remember... The other night we went

to pray, and Joshua, just three years old, he starts prayin’. He’d been

recently with his friends, some of his friends. He was calling every one

of them out. He said, “Lord... and Kendra, and Lena, and Cara, and Mia,

and Abigail, and Zoe, Lord.” And then he goes on to those that he wasn’t

around. He said, “Levi, oh Lord.” They just named...

I tell you something, brother. I know what you think because you all

got older children some of you. And you think, “Yeah, that’s so precious

then, but oh, how it changes.” I just have a tendency to believe that if

we watch ourselves carefully that doesn’t have to change. Maybe no-

body in this house will agree with me, but somehow I’m counting on

the fact that if we watch ourselves, we can keep our children tender in

the presence of the Lord. Oh, I know we’ve got older ones that seem

hard, but I want you to know they’re not. They’re not hard. Just ask my


wife. She’ll tell you about ‘em. She’s not going to let anybody criticize

’em. She wouldn’t let anybody in this church say one thing about Marc

Salvador to her – not at all – because she believes in him. And she’ll say,

“No matter what.” I heard her tell somebody just recently, she said, “He

has such a kind spirit toward us.”

I didn’t mean to embarrass him. But I just wanted to say that because

these are things that may never get said to people’s face, you know. I

mean, you’re going to walk up to a strapping young man like Marc and

say, “You’re so sweet.” That just ain’t going to work, is it? So, you know,

it doesn’t matter. And others, you know, all of our young people... They

may not always do what we want ‘em to do. They may not always be

rolling around in the floor drunk on the Holy Ghost. But we just believe

in them. And we don’t honor the fact that they don’t always want to

serve the Lord. We’re not going to honor that, you know, and build it

up. But we’re going to respect it and we’re going to believe that we’ve

done our part. Mamas and daddies are going to believe they’ve done the

best they could. Church families are going to believe we’ve done the

best... And in due time, we’re just believing that every one that belongs

to God is going to serve Him in great victory. Hallelujah.

So be careful how we criticize and condemn. Let’s defend one another

and believe God for one another. Hallelujah. Pray for one another. Up-

hold the teachings of holiness and the standards of holiness because I


believe that it’s those standards that sets us apart and places us in a

position where we can receive all that God has because we love Him

enough. I can prove to you in the Bible that God wants it that way.

Remember, I preached to you when we were still in the church in Co-

lumbus. I said, “God cares so much about separation that He told them

how to plant their garden.” Say, “God don’t care how I dress and what

I do and how I entertain myself.” God told them not to plant peas and

butterbeans in the same row because, He said, “I want everybody that

passes by your little farm to know you belong to Me.”

Oh, I love that thought. I wished I had known that when I was about

eleven, twelve years old preaching holiness. But I never heard anybody

say anything like that. But I sure do appreciate the fact that God called

a people out. He called Israel out. And He wanted them to be separate

and different in everything that they did because He wanted their whole

life to be a reflection of their service to God. That’s why holiness is so

important today. Say, “Amen” or “Oh, me.” It’s important because it sets

us apart. And it lets people know we love Him enough to sacrifice and

rearrange our lives to please Him. Brother, He’s what matters. Thank

God for what the Lord has done in this day. I’ve not gone very far at all,

but I’m going to close if you’ll stand. It’s difficult to do that because

there’s a lot I’d like to say here.


But I’ll just say this. Thank God for the ministry of the eagle. Thank God

that God certainly sent a prophet in our day. Thank God there’s a five-

fold ministry still carrying on and breaking down the Word of the Lord.

I said before I’m not a big quoter. But I’ve been quoting a lot during this

season. And I wanted to do that because I want you to be able to go

back and find it for yourselves. But if you weren’t here last night and

you go back and hear that tape, you will find things that you’ve never

heard before.

I promise you that. You’ll find... there are some nuggets that were spo-

ken in that service last night that you’ve never heard before put together

quite like that because that was Him. He came for a few moments and

spoke some things that I was amazed at today when I thought about it.

But I’d like to just read a little something real quick. I shouldn’t... Be

seated again. I’m sorry. I know you’ll have a spell for me making you

get up and sit right back down. It won’t take but a second. But I don’t

want to do this tomorrow night. It’s nine pages, and I’ll just read a par-

agraph or two. But just to show you a little something. He said, “Now,

Ezekiel was prophesying or foretelling what would take place in an age

to come, not in his age. But he said a prophet is a seer and is referred to

in the Bible as the eagle who goes way up high in the air. And the higher

you go, the farther you can see.


“See, the eagle soars up much higher than any other bird. There’s no

bird can go with the eagle. And there’s no eye like the eagle eye. The

hawk hasn’t got a chance in his sight. And the hawk could not stand the

altitude of where the eagle can soar. He would die. He doesn’t have the

makeup that the eagle has. Now, the hawk is a bird, and there’s lots of

other birds, but the eagle was thus made because he’s a high soaring

bird. And he can go way so high until he can see things that the other

birds cannot see because he’s higher. And God, in making the eagle,

made him for that purpose because his nest... (I like that)... his nest is

higher than the others.”

Oh, hallelujah. Glory to God. You know what keeps the eagle happy?

You know what keeps him with the ability to soar? Because he don’t

build his nest in the lowland. He doesn’t build his nest in the low places.

But he makes his home up in the high things of God.

We’re typing the prophetic and the prophetic people and the prophet to

the eagle. But I can give you quotes and show you right in the Bible

where he said, “And the believer is typed to the eagle.” He said, “The

believer is the eagle.” And we, as believers, we’ve got to build our nest.

Your nest is your place of abode where you live and dwell. And he said

they’re high birds, birds who soar because they build their nest high

above, hallelujah, where you dwell. How many of you want to dwell in


the high things of God – in the holy things of God? You don’t want to

make your place down low in the valley.

And God likened the prophet to the eagle that would go in the makeup

of a prophet, a seer, and he said, “in the Spirit climbs beyond the emo-

tion of the church. He goes beyond the rhythm of the music. He goes

beyond the clapping of the hands. He goes beyond the joy among the

saints. He goes beyond all of that, and God brings him up into a realm

alone – alone. Then He opens his eyes and He lets him look around and

see things that is to come. Then He brings him back down among the

members of the body to foretell them of what is in the making.”

He goes on. He said, “But a prophet is a office of the church, not a gift,

but an office of the church. They’re ordained, predestinated by God’s

foreknowledge to be what they are. They’re born prophets. Prophets are

not made. They’re born. And a prophet, or a seer, in one word is con-

sidered in the Old Testament as eagles. And how I love to think of it in

that way. The eagle is a bird of prey, but he’s also a bird of the heavens.”

And he goes on. He talks about how sad it was to see that beautiful eagle

in that cage. He said, “How terrible.” He said, “Watch that eagle. He’d

beat his wings and breast against the bars of the cage because here he

was destined... He was forced to be an earthbound creature, but he was

made for the heavens. And he had this far away look in his eye.”


I remember that far away look. I’m old enough. I’ll... in just a few weeks,

I’ll be thirty-six years old. And I’m old enough to remember in our

church, when I was a boy, the saints when they sung. We don’t have it,

you know... we don’t have it like they had it. When they sung “Heaven’s

Jubilee,” it rang. When they sang, “The Meeting in the Air,” it reverber-

ated off the rafters. When they sang, “This is just what heaven means to

me,” I’m telling you, you could have seen... if you’d have seen it...

maybe many of you have been in places like that where the glory of God

was. You could see that same look on their eye that the eagle has – that

far away look. I’m destined to live here, but oh, one of these days, you

know... My home is not here. And you could see that look in their eye

when they sung. What a blessing.

Oh, I wished I could read a lot more of these wonderful things about the

eagle, but I promised that I wouldn’t and I won’t. I like reading about

that mother eagle, you know – how she has to clear the nest sometime

because everybody gets comfortable. Maybe the Lord was trying to do

a little of that tonight. So let’s not go home mad, and sad, upset and

angry. And let’s not go home quiet – everybody go home and daddy not

say a word, or mommy not say a word in the car ’cause they’re pouted

out over what was said. Just go home with the joy of the Lord. I do,

honey. Even when it ain’t easy, I still go home trying to have the joy of

the Lord.


I guess you’ll understand why I’m going to read this one, but I’ll never

tell you, but I’m sure you’ll know right away. He’s talking about Elijah.

And he said, “This prophet was also a moody sort of a guy. Elijah, after

he had a great meeting, nobody could get along with him.” He said,

“Elijah had spells. When he went out there and called fire down out of

heaven and burnt up the altars of Baal and everything, he run out into

the wilderness and said, ‘Lord, I’m no better than my fathers. Just let

me die.’ He set under a juniper tree, and after the great revival, he just

wanted to die. Well, maybe some of you have experienced that kind of

a feeling. You just get caught up so high in the Spirit, then you leave

that anointing and your body... you just come... oh, my goodness... you

just come flying down. It happens sometimes.

“John, when they cast him in prison...” He talks about John being an

eagle prophet. And he said, “What happened to John is when they

throwed him in jail, he got a film over his eye.” He said, “When they

throwed John the Baptist in jail... he was a prophet.” He said, “He got

a film over his eye, and he could no longer see the things that he had

seen when he was soaring in the heights.” He said, “That’s why he sent

some of his disciples over there to ask Him one more time if He’s the

Messiah. ‘Are You the One we’re looking for?’” He said, “The only rea-

son why John did that is he got a film over his eye. He couldn’t see

clearly.”


In a little message called, “Letting Off the Pressure,” he said, “That’s the

reason God likened Himself to an eagle. And He likened His children to

eagles. And because they’re the highest soaring bird, they can go higher

than any other bird. His eye is so keen, it wouldn’t do him no good to

get up there unless He was able to see what was going on down here.

He likened His prophet to eagles. He could just sail up above all those

circumstances.”

And he said, “These old eagles when they begin to get old, he goes way

up high in the cleft of the rock. He finds that certain rock he’s going to.

And that old crust that starts gettin’ over his beak in his head... and he

takes his head, and he starts beating against the rock, beating it against

the rock until he knocks the crust off of his head. Oh, it hurts him. You

can see him up there flopping around. He’ll jump back. He’ll knock his

head... what he’s trying to do is he’s trying to knock that crust off. He’ll

bleed and the blood will run off all over him until he knocks that crust

off. But he has to do that to renew himself.” And he said, “His youth

and his strength is renewed because he goes up to that high place.”

Remember we preached a message... you’ve heard... even Bobby Thom-

son, the great Baptist eagle preacher... I’ve mentioned his name. And

it’s on the Internet where I’ve preached and mentioned his name. And

we get emails quite often... people wanting to know about Bobby Thom-

son. I’ve not heard from him in a long time. Some years ago, I heard


from him – about him. He was... He lives somewhere in Georgia. And I

read he was very, very ill and very, very low with his heart. And he was

a... I guess his tapes have gone all over the world. He was just a little

Baptist preacher, but he preached on the eagle and made it so wonderful

and so exciting. And he gave his testimony of how God had saved him

and delivered him.

And he described that beautiful scene that he saw of those eagles that

had climbed up that mountain and got up there to that rock and started

beatin’ their beaks against that rock. And he said, “They don’t just go to

any old rock. They always go back to the rock where they were born.”

When I think of that, it reminds me of that old song we used to sing,

“Lead me to that Rock that is higher than I for thou hast been a shelter

for me.” He goes back to that rock and scrapes off all that old crust. And

the Bible said, “His strength is renewed.” And the Bible says that’s

what’ll happen to us – our strength and our youth is renewed like the

eagle.

How many of you’d just be honest tonight and say you could use a little

of that eagle anointing about now? You could use that opportunity to

beat your beak off?

I heard Brother Branham say, “You couldn’t take and pull some of those

feathers out of that eagle with a pair of pliers.” He said, “If you had a

pair of pliers, you couldn’t pull some of those feathers off.” He said,


“That’s how strongly attached they are. And yet that same eagle will get

up there, and when he’s beatin’ off that crust, and he’ll look down and

see those damaged feathers, and with his beak alone, he’ll reach down

and pull them out. And yet,” he said, “you couldn’t pull them out with

a pair of pliers. But he’ll reach down and take those that are a little bit

damaged and pull them out with his beak so that he can be renewed

and refreshed.

“He gets them old feathers out of the way and his body starts secreting

that oil again that flows down the quills of those feathers. That oil rep-

resents the Holy Ghost. And the oil will flow down the quills of those

feathers and make them so wonderful and easy to move through the air.

And then if his feathers are full of oil when any dirt gets on him, it’ll

just wash off. It’ll just flow off.” God knew what He was doing when He

likened His people and His prophets to the eagle. And he knew what we

were going to need in the last days.

I want you to stand again. I promise this is the last time. I want to re-

mind you of something that the Lord said to us in a vision. He said to

us one time... We were climbing up Mount Zion in this vision. I saw it

like a pyramid-shaped mountain. We were climbing up with everything

that was within us in the Spirit. We couldn’t make it, you know, it

seemed like. But we were doing everything we could to make it.

Musicians are coming.


And he... I kept watching this white eagle in this vision. I kept watching

this dove and this eagle. Here come this white eagle. He kept circlin’

around the top of Mount Zion, and he’d swoop down and then come

back up and circle around the top and swoop down. And all of a sudden,

he came right up there where we were. And the Spirit of the Lord spoke

and said, “When you’ve gone as far as you can go,” He said, “I will bear

you to the top on the wings of a white eagle. When you can’t climb any

higher, I’ll take care of it.”

You know... somebody said, “Well, what in the world does that mean?”

It just means when you’ve gone as far as you can go, God will catch you

on the wings of revelation and take you to places you didn’t think you

could go. God said, ‘You’re going to stand before the Throne.” Some-

body said, “Well, I know I will one day.” You sound like Martha and

Mary. “Oh, I know he’ll rise one day...” Jesus said, “I am the resurrec-

tion.” “Oh, I know I’ll be before the Throne one day.” God said, “I want

to catch my people in the Spirit and let them stand in heavenly places

before my Throne where they can receive revelation and strength to

come back down and fight this great battle.”

I could have used some of that tonight. I could use a lifting up. But I

feel Him here. He’s ready to do it for us if we’re willing. Hallelujah. Let’s

just lift our hands right now.

Hallelujah. We love You, Lord.

Hallelujah. Hallelujah. We bless You, Lord.

Let’s just approach the Lord right now where we stand.

Father, we thank You tonight for the grace of God that has been ex-

tended to us. We thank You for the price that has been paid for our

salvation. We thank You for the revelation of Your Word that has kept

us in the days of this pale horse where so much is going on around us.

And yet, You keep us in the eye of the storm with peace – great peace

that passes all understanding and endures forever. For that, we’re grate-

ful. We thank You for the joy that comes in the morning, for the promise

of the Word is, “Weeping may endure for the night. But joy comes in

the morning.” We thank You for the morning joy. We’ve experienced it

in our own life – troubled and tormented and weeping in the night. And

when the sun come up, the peace of the Lord would fill us many, many

times.

When I was in such a valley and going through such a time and so tor-

mented for over a year, there was a song that kept me going. Many,

many was the morning that I would wake up singing, “Some through


the water, some through the flood, some through the fire, but all

through the blood, God leads His dear children along.”

And You have done that, oh God, in every one of our lives. And we

thank You tonight. Let there be a strengthening peace just flow over this

congregation right now. Uplift and under gird Your people. Strengthen

and heal those who are battling great symptoms in their bodies. The

great Physician now is near. And we call on Him to touch Your people,

oh God, with perfect healing. We’ll tell it. You know us. You know we’ll

tell it. If You’ll just pass by and heal us, Lord, we’ll tell it because we

are looking for a reason to glorify Your Name and to set It apart for

You’re the only God. And we bless You tonight. (Tongues) Oh yes, we

thank You for the light at the end of the tunnel.

I just saw in the Spirit, just quickly, that deep, long dark tunnel. Looked

like it was leading straight down into the heart of the earth. And yet, I

could see at the other end of that tunnel that light. And I know that it

wasn’t the light of Hades. I knew that it was the light of God – the light

of the peace of God, the light of the Presence of God – in the Old Testa-

ment, the Shekinah Glory.

So whoever you are in this place tonight, if you feel like you’re plunging

in that tunnel of darkness, at the end of that tunnel, don’t be afraid. God

is waiting there to catch you... I felt that anointing in those words “to


catch you”... for underneath are the everlasting arms of the Lord. Hal-

lelujah. He’s a shoulder to lean on in the time of trouble. There’s nothing

you face right now, or will face tomorrow or throughout all eternity,

that God is not bigger than that. He’s bigger than every problem, every

circumstance, every mountain, every valley, every devil of hell that

would stand in your way. God is bigger than that. He’s already paid the

price.

Be encouraged, saints of the Most High God. For God who has kept us

for a reason is not finished with us yet. And one day, He’ll bring us to

that place where we can reflect in perfection His Glory. Hallelujah. Until

that hour, we press through, we reach up, we extend ourselves higher,

believing that God who has started a good work is the same God who is

able to finish. For the Scripture has said, “He is the Author and the Fin-

isher of our faith.” Lord, how we thank You for what You’ve started in

our lives, and we just, with confidence, declare that You’ll finish it.

Oh, Holy Ghost of God, those who stand on the edge of Your grace,

those who run from Your grace, those who make excuses, I pray, Lord,

that You will chase them faster than they can run, that You’ll speak to

them in the night, that You’ll deal with their hearts heavily and bring

them to the safety of the fold.

Lord, we pray for ourselves tonight as a body with the exception of a

few visitors. And, really, they’re not visitors. Sister Eva is not a visitor.


Sister Weir is not a visitor. They’ve been associated in our family a long

time. And Daniel and Jonathan grew up with us. So, we really don’t

have any visitors.

And so, Lord, we just pray for this little body tonight that there would

be no jealousy among us, that there would be no envy among us, that

there would be no strife among us, no discord. God, I pray right now

that You would reveal to each and every person who continues to allow

their mouth to sow discord in this body, oh God, for I fear that there’s

an hour coming when You’re going to lay it on the line. So we take

warning and we take heed tonight to search our hearts and our lives.

Oh, we pray as it has been prayed before us, “Put a watch over our heart

and a stay on our lips, that we would not sin against Thee, oh God.”

For our children, we pray Your protecting hand and Your revival Spirit.

For the remainder of this meeting, we’re asking You for a jubilee from

on High, a victory that comes from You, a deliverance. I don’t have the

preacher’s itch. I’m ready. I’m reporting for duty. I’m prepared to preach

Your Word. But I want to see You, Lord, move for Your people. And we

ask that for the remainder of this meeting that You would come down

heavily and mightily and meet the need.

And we pray, Lord, that whatever that was that somebody brought with

them tonight that they’d be... that You will undertake for them, that


You’ll work out the situation and that we’ll be able to come with the

right spirit. Somebody said, “Well, I’ll just stay at home if I don’t have

the right spirit.” But Lord, I pray that nobody would have that attitude,

but they would just take a moment on the way to say, “Lord, help me

to put this spirit underneath my feet so that I can go in there to magnify

the Lord.” Give us that grace to come in here tomorrow night to praise

You and help the servant of the Lord that would lead the singing and

the musicians that would do their very best to bless Your people. We

ask this in the Name of the Lord Jesus, Yeshua, the Messiah. Amen.

Amen and amen.

Pastor Steven L. Shelley Senior Pastor of New Hope Revival Ministries

Pastor Steven L. Shelley’s life of ministry was prophesied before he was

even born. His grandmother received a word that “the child your daugh-

ter-in-law is carrying right now is chosen. He will carry the Gospel and

many souls will be won to the kingdom of God, and he’ll start at a very

early age.”

Just like it was spoken, Pastor Shelley was filled with Holy Ghost and

began preaching in 1975 at the age of seven years old and was pastoring

full time by the age of seventeen. People were astounded by the revela-

tion and conviction coming from this very young man. But it wasn’t only

the wisdom of the Word that touched them but the evidence of the su-

pernatural power of God that operated in his life.

His first experience with the supernatural was at the age of three when

the Lord appeared in his room one night and told him things that were

to come. He was told that his mother and father would separate (they

divorced less than two years later) and that he would preach the Gospel

and his life would not be ordinary. His life has been marked by the

supernatural since that time and he has had countless visions, dreams,

visitations and revelatory experiences.

Although his childhood was not an easy one God kept him through

every hardship and gave him the grace not to be pulled into a lot of the

traps that young people commonly face. As a result of that he was able

to lead many of his fellow grade school students and even teachers to

the Lord.

His Pentecostal grandmother, Mildred Shelley, who had a great spiritual

impact on him, pastored a church in Columbus Georgia and he would

frequently be invited to preach for her. He also began traveling all over

the United States holding tent revivals where he would preach and pray

for the sick. Tremendous outstanding miracles and deliverances would

take place and revivals would last for weeks on end.

His grandmother passed away in 1990, leaving him in charge of the

church, New Hope Prayer Center. In 1993, God opened the doors for 60

acres of land to be purchased in Smiths Station, Alabama and instructed

him to name the property Eagle’s Refuge Holiness Campground. By di-

vine direction, the church in Columbus Georgia was sold in 2003 and a

new building was constructed and dedicated in 2004. We are currently

worshipping in this building in Alabama.

Pastor Shelley has ministered in 65 countries and seen an outstanding

harvest for the Kingdom in every one. There is one foreign country that

he feels identified with more than any other and that is the nation of

Israel. When he was 11 years old his grandmother took him on tour to

Israel where he met a part of his destiny. While visiting Yad Vashem he

had a vision where he saw himself speaking to dry bones, as the prophet

Ezekiel did and saw them come to life. At that young age he knew that

he would one day return to Israel and see that vision come to pass. He

didn’t visit Israel again until 2002 at which time the Lord opened a door

for ministry in the Land. In 2003 the Lord opened a door for our minis-

try to rent two apartments in Jerusalem where prophetic prayer and

Serving the Lord with him is his lovely wife, Stacey Ryan, who fre-

quently travels with him in ministry. They have four beautiful children:

Benjamin Judah (1998), Joshua River (2001), Olivia Zion (2003), and

Moriah Destiny (2006). His mother Jane Shelley was radically saved in

1985 and is an active part of his life and ministry.

So many wonderful promises and prophecies have been given to Pastor

Shelley and the New Hope Revival Ministries. We thank God for the

great foundation that has been laid by the prayers and tears of saints

who have gone on before us. We look forward to the future knowing

that the best is yet to come!
