The Riddle of the Seven Kings:

 Revelation 17:9-11

“Here is a riddle for those with understanding. The seven heads are

seven mountains on which the woman sits, and they are seven kings;five have fallen, one is, the other has not yet come; and when hecomes, he must remain a little while. And the beast which was and isnot, is himself also an eighth, and is one of the seven, and he goes todestruction.”

WHAT IS THE SIGNIFICANCE OF THIS RIDDLE?

To see the beast you must solve the angel’s riddle. The riddle of the seven kings providesthe most important clues in scripture for seeing the Satanic beast that is central in the

events of end-times Biblical prophecy.

If you correctly identify the seventh king, you can then identify the eighth king. He is the

beast. The beast is both a person in prophecy and the new kind of imperial governmenthe rules.

When you are able to identify the eighth king you will also be able to see the civilization

from which the beast arises and the nature of world events related to its rise. You may be

very surprised at the results of your study.

I believe the wording of this prophetic riddle indicates that the prophecy is writtenspecifically for Christians living between the time of the death of the seventh king and

the time of the rise of the eighth king. As we study you will see that this is a short time

period—and we live in it today!

You will also see that the seventh king has already died and the eighth king is about torise. We may actually be living within months of the establishment of the eight king.

In turn, the time span of the eight king is so short that the person who creates the beast is

still in control at the beast’s death, which is the day of the anger of the Lamb, which is

also the time of Armageddon.

One of the key values of this prophetic riddle is its ability to spur the church into last-days action. Many souls must yet be rescued before the soon coming ambush.

HOW CAN YOU IDENTIFY THE SEVEN KINGS?

Here are two simple, yet very powerful principles for identifying all seven kings:

1st

The seven kings are empires that consecutively rule the Promised Land.

2nd

Each succeeding king must seize the previous king’s capital and break its

imperial throne.

These two principles will enable you to easily identify the seven kings. Once this task isaccomplished you will be able to see the eighth king, which is the beast.

From our two principles of identification we can also derive the following information:

The seven empires rule the Promised Land from the time God made the promise of landto Abraham until the time that Christ comes in victory and turns the promise into

fulfillment. This now means that the time-span of the seven kings is an unbroken four

thousand years.

In the riddle, God is revealing a strategic outline of the history of the Promised

Land. The outline is based entirely on the consecutive empires that gain authority overthe land and, by so doing, give structure to the history of the land.

You will discover that there are no significant time gaps in this history. God’s prophetic

record of the history of the Promised Land is comprehensive. There is incredible and asyou will see, even omniscient, value in this comprehensive feature of the riddle.

This feature enables the prophecy to serve as a double assurance to the children of

promise. First, despite the consecutive rise and fall of these empires, God is

demonstrating that he has not forgotten his original promise to Abraham. Second, everything is on schedule—even across four thousand years of tumultuous history.

The seven empires are often called world empires but this is grossly inaccurate. Not one

is a world empire. There has never been a world empire, and there has never been

anything truly close.

You must rid yourself of the belief that the key to the significance of these empires is thatthey are world empires. It is a belief that has contributed significantly to keeping the

western church blind to prophetic events happening right before its eyes.

Not even the anti-Christ will achieve a true world empire. At the end of the tribulation,

three great, militarized power centers will come to Jerusalem to war against the city andeach other. Each of these empires will be driven by wholly different motives. Only one

will be under the authority of the anti-Christ.

-------Now you are at a point where you need to be able to correctly answer the following twoquestions before you read on. If you miss the answers, then you should re-read the

previous two pages until you get them right. You must build line upon line to solve theriddle.

1ST QUESTION:  What is the purpose of this prophetic riddle?

ANSWER:  The purpose of the riddle of the seven kings is to enable you to “see”, or

identify, the beast of the end times. Enabling the saints to see the beast is the key to the

value of this prophecy. God intends for you to understand this riddle.

2 ND QUESTION:  What is it that makes the seven kings so important to prophetic

history?

ANSWER:  The significance of the seven kings is found in their power over the

Promised Land throughout the four thousand history of the promise.

No empires precede them, none exist in between them, and none follow them—except

the beast.

The riddle is a statement of God’s faithfulness to His promises. The riddle is ultimatelyabout God’s promise to Abraham and Satan’s efforts to break the promise.

THE MYTH OF SEVEN WORLD EMPIRES

Believing that the seven kings are world empires places such a fog over the nature of

these kings that it causes the intent of the prophecy to be missed. Even worse, it causesboth the seventh and eighth kings to be completely obscured.

The reason that it is so important that the seven kings are seen from the perspective of

their relationship to the Promised Land is because of the nature of prophetic history.

Prophetic history is first—and foremost—concerned with the people of promise, the land

of promise, and the city of promise. This is why these seven empires are the onlyempires that are included in the prophetic riddle. They are the only empires that rule over

the land of God’s promise.

When we as westerners are able to set our cultural-centric pride aside, we can be free to

realize that the history of most earthly empires is not directly relevant to prophetic

history.Scores and scores of empires and civilizations are not described or even identified in

prophecy. When other lands have any significant mentioning in scripture is because of

their impact on the Promised Land.

This is because prophetic history is the testimony of the Lord about redemptivehistory. It is the process in which the Lord is describing the key events in redemptive

history. By so doing, God is acting in relation to the children of promise and their land of

promise.

The testimony of the Lord is given in reference to the promises He has made in Hiscovenants. In a very real sense, his testimony is held as a “legal record” in the tabernacle

of the testimony in heaven.

The record is held because the trustworthiness of the Lord is at legal issue in theprophetic process. Satan has filed charges against God claiming that He is untrustworthy,

and therefore not worthy of the high throne. This means that the prophetic process

resides at the heart of the spiritual battle between heaven and hell.

As a result, Satan’s strategic offensive is aimed directly at breaking God’s testimony. If Satan can break prophecy, he breaks God’s legal testimony. If he breaks the testimony,

then he has broken the sure trustworthiness of God.

This is Satan’s dark purpose on this battlefront. As Daniel foretold, the dark lord will do

all he can to change the times and laws (or events). These “times and laws” are all the set

times and set events of prophecy.

Furthermore, within the scope of the cosmic struggle is the satanic attempt to obscure

prophecy and mislead the expectations of believers about the times and events of

prophecy. Deception is at the heart of well-planned military operations. It is the key tosuccessful surprise. It facilitates ambush and successful military offensive.

If we have wrong expectations about events that must occur and do no see the true actors

in these events, then we will be blinded to true prophetic fulfillments. Our lamps will not

Page 4: The Seven Kings Riddle

be properly trimmed, and we will be more likely to allow our supply of oil to run low oreven out. We will not be able to do our job.

Satan’s strategy is to catch us off guard by deceiving us about the nature of prophetic

events. Smoke screens of false activity are always used to obscure the real activity and

mislead the opponent.

Remember, all military conquests are launched by ambush after much deception. Satanis about to launch the greatest offensive in the history of the world. It will be cloaked in

deception and begin with ambush.

DIFFERENCES BETWEEN A NATION AND AN EMPIRE

As you proceed in your study you will see that all seven of the prophetic thrones arethrones of empires—not nations. Empires are different from nations. This is a very

important distinction that you must grasp and appreciate.

Empires have not been given an eternal ministry by God. In contrast, nations do have an

eternal ministry. Empires will not go into the millennium nor the following eternal

kingdom. However, the nations will go into the millennium and on into the eternalkingdom. Empires and nations are very different entities.

WHAT MAKES AN EMPIRE?

Historically, all empires have come into existence when the king of one nation has taken

over another nation and then takes the throne of the second nation to himself. Acquiringtwo or more thrones to one person is the means of building an empire. This is the key

concept at this point.

The reader must realize that a throne is the seat of government. This is because the

throne is the seat of justice. Administering justice is the central purpose of government. It is the reason of state and the purpose of all thrones. Doing justice is what

governing “is”.

So, following specific imperial thrones throughout their history is important to thesuccess of this study. The specific thrones are the seven prophetic imperial thrones.

As noted, gaining control of multiple national thrones is the key in the in the process of

empire building. However, bringing two or more national thrones under one ruler poses a

tremendous problem.

This is because two thrones of two nations cannot usually be combined. They must

remain out of practical necessity. This creates all kinds of administrative problems for

any empire builder.

Each throne is the seat of the supreme judge of each nation. An in turn, each nationinvolves a geographical region. Due to administrative and physical logistics, the thrones

cannot be easily dispensed with.

One of the logistical problems is that no one has ever invented a way to be in two or more

places at once. A second problem is virtually all nations developed with uniquelanguages. So then, how can one person be an emperor who sits on multiple national

thrones?

Page 5: The Seven Kings Riddle

8/14/2019 The Seven Kings Riddle

http://slidepdf.com/reader/full/the-seven-kings-riddle 5/23

To solve the problem, the empire builder must leave the national thrones in place andcreate a new and higher throne. The holder of this throne is then lord over the lesser

national thrones. This means that a king is no longer the supreme governor of a

nation. Biblically, there is no provision for any office above a king. This is why empiresdo not have an eternal calling the way nations do.

When the emperor leaves subservient kings on national thrones he becomes a king of kings. Then he only sits to judge matters that are not solved at the level of the national

throne. These matters will then be appealed or passed up to the imperial throne.

This system enables the emperor to be free from most non-imperial issues. The emperorwill have to sit in judgment much less often and he can do his governing from one

throne. Yet, at the same time, he is able to maintain sovereign control over multiple

nations.

So by definition, the higher office becomes an imperial throne. The imperial throne is thethrone of empire and it is the type of throne that the prophetic riddle in Revelation

seventeen is built around. You must understand this structure to solve the riddle.

There is one more key distinction between the nature of a national throne and that of an

empire throne. When a national throne is broken, the nation remains, but when animperial throne is broken the empire vanishes.

This is because the imperial throne has no lands of its own, and no ethnic people of its

own, and no language of its own. This means that that the empire has no existence that is

inherent to human order. In contrast, the nation does have all three of these attributes.

In spiritual matters, the nation is rooted in the identity of the people and the language andland over which the nation governs. It is the highest expression of the power to govern in

the family order. This is why the nation of Egypt remains today even though the Egyptian

Empire was slain and disappeared thousands of years ago.

Spiritually, the national throne is the high throne of the goel, or kinsman-redeemer. Thisoffice is central to the redemptive process. Without the office of the goel there could beno Savior.

By birthright Jesus held the high scepter of the high goel of the human order. His rightful

throne was the throne of David. Holding this kinsman office was a prerequisite for Jesus

to be able to represent you on the cross and atone for your sins.

This is the ultimate reason why national thrones are so important for you and me. Oureternal destiny is integrated into their existence and the legal, and in turn, redemptive

function they perform.

This is also why the genealogies recorded in the Bible are so important. They trace thepath of the golden scepter of the goel, or high throne. It is the scepter of yourredemption. This is how God mercifully provided for your rescue from judgment. It is

the throne of mercy—the mercy seat of Israel.

-----

Empires are often symbolized in prophecy by mountains. In turn, the troubled seas are

often symbolic of the peoples and nations. As an example, when the great flaming

Page 6: The Seven Kings Riddle

8/14/2019 The Seven Kings Riddle

http://slidepdf.com/reader/full/the-seven-kings-riddle 6/23

mountain is thrown into the sea by the angel of Revelation, it is a similitude of the suddenflaming-death of an empire and its return into the troubled waters of the nations.

The death of the flaming mountain will bring about the slaughter of one third of mankind

and is the event that will kick off the satanic conquest of the world. The kickoff is the

ambush, and the time of the following conquest is called the tribulation. It is the time

that terror reigns over the world. This means that terrorism is tribulationism. The terroris tribulation.

Although most empires do die in flames, an empire’s death does not have to be by

war. The Soviet Empire, one of the most militaristic and dangerous empire of humanhistory, died suddenly by the stroke of a pen. A coup was not even involved. The empire

vanished in a near bloodless act by its own throne-holders.

The vanishing of an empire by pen stroke will become significant in this study.

-----

As we continue our study you will discover that there is to be a new kind of government

to rise on the scene during the end times. It is different than both a nation and anempire. It is the government of the beast, and is far more dangerous and vicious than an

empire. We will identify its attributes later. Then you will know what the beast will look

like.

We should also note that at times the Promised Land was free from empire control and

ruled by other entities, such as protectorates or mandates. But these rules were short

lived, they were not truly sovereign, they did not break the empire that existed at the

time, and they were not ruled by empire. These are reasons why God does not countthem in the seven kings.

The time that Israel was an independent nation is also not counted in the seven. Israel

was and is a nation, not an empire. It is a nation rooted in a people who have maintainedtheir kinsman identity for thousands of years.

The Jews have returned to their land and to their language. Isaiah could walk into any

city in Israel today and talk with the citizens. Kinsman identity combined with languageand land identity is the true basis of national identity.

-----

Even though there were times of independence from the seven empires for Israel, there

was no break in the chain of the existence of the empires throughout the history of the

Promised Land.

When the Promised Land came under the control of the European Crusaders, the empire

that had controlled Jerusalem still stood and eventually retook Jerusalem. The Crusadersdid not break the throne of the ruling empire and they succumbed to the empire’s control

again.

Often the seven empires are mistakenly called civilizations. At most, three of the empirescould be called civilizations in themselves. Most of the empires arise from the same

civilization. Four of these empires were very short lived. Four of them located their

thrones at one time or another in Babylon and two in Constantinople.

Page 7: The Seven Kings Riddle

All are from the same general region of the world, and this is why they control thePromised Land and, in turn, why they slay each other. They were regional empires. But

the region they controlled included the land of God’s promise, and this is what makes

them important to redemptive history.

It is important to understand, and keep in thought, that prophetic events are structured

around the fleshing out of God’s promises to Abraham and his children—not worldevents or world empires.

This means that the Bible is not a record of the history of Western Europe or world

civilizations. It is the record of redemptive history, and redemptive history is centeredaround Jerusalem and the peoples who impact directly on its history.

Jerusalem is the key because it is to become the seat of the throne of God on earth. The

high throne over all mankind is the throne of mercy—the mercy seat. God is the one who

gave it this name, and because he created the throne we have hope.

The promises regarding Jerusalem are why the city becomes the center of world tensionas the times of the end approach. Satan knows that it is the great city of destiny. This is

why it becomes the stumbling block that brings on the great and final battle leading up to

the return of the Lord.

[Jerusalem fulfilled the prophetic attribute of the ‘stumbling stone’ when the city and its

temple mount became the key to the collapse of the Oslo peace process in late September

2000.]

------

Satan knows that the most opportune time to attack and slay God is when God is movinghis government. Satan’s hope is that God’s forces will be preoccupied with the

move. The time of the move is fast approaching and Satan is now preparing to execute

his diabolical plan to seize God’s throne. It will be the high battle of all fallen history inheaven and on earth.

To mount the offensive, Satan must have great power and indwell the prince of the eighth

king.

This means that we are now ready to seek the eighth king’s identity. You should now beable to understand why the following kings are the only ones that could fit the prophecy.

WHO ARE THE SEVEN KINGS OF PROPHETIC HISTORY?

ANSWER:

1st

KING: EGYPT

In 2,000 B.C., at the time of the promise to Abraham, the kings of the small Canaanitecity-states were all in subjection to the Pharaoh of Egypt and were paying tribute to hisimperial court.

The children of Israel were liberated from Egyptian slavery seven hundred years later in

1,441 B.C. Although the Pharaoh was drowned with his army, the throne of his empire

was not broken at that time. It continued for another seven hundred years.

Page 8: The Seven Kings Riddle

8/14/2019 The Seven Kings Riddle

http://slidepdf.com/reader/full/the-seven-kings-riddle 8/23

The events of the plagues and the Red Sea disaster served to leave the Egyptian Empireso weakened that it was not able to force subjection and tribute from the newborn nation

of promise.

2nd

KING: ASSYRIA

Assyria slew the empire of Egypt. Assyria first subjected the ten northern tribes of Israelin 734 B.C. under Sen-nach-erib. However, the armies of Assyria were not yet able toproceed on south to conquer Egypt. This was because of the miraculous rescue of

Jerusalem by the angel after Hezekiah’s prayer. Last minute repentance does bring

results.

Sen-nach-erib’s son, Esar-haddon then ruled Assyria from 680-669 B.C., and was able topenetrate to the Nile River with his armies. There he slew Pharaoh Ta-har-ka and

captured Memphis, the capital of the Egyptian empire.

Esar-haddon took the royal title of “king of the kings of Egypt” and split imperial Egypt

into a number of petty states. By so doing he broke the pharonic imperial throne of Egypt.

These are the events in which the second king slew the first. A new Egyptian empire

would arise in latter years, but it never gained control of the Promised Land and, as a

result, did not become one of the seven prophetic kings.

3rd

KING: BABYLON

This empire is the Lion of Daniel that slew the empire of Assyria. In 607 B.C. King

Nabo-polassar destroyed Assyria’s capital of Nineveh and broke the throne. Jerusalem

then fell to his son Nebu-chad-nezzar in 587 B.C.

An important feature of the Babylonian Empire is that it represents the highest spirit of human development and self-rule. In prophecy it is called the head of gold, it is the giant

tree giving shade to all, it is the great multi-colored eagle, and the great winged lion.

Babylon was ruled by an empire builder who was in the spirit and prophetic image of theanti-Christ. Nebuchadnezzar thought and did the things that the anti-Christ is thinking

and doing right now.

4th

KING: MEDIA-PERSIA

This empire is the Bear of Daniel. It slew the empire of Babylon in 536 B.C. whenguards betrayed the city and allowed the armies of Darius to enter under the walled

defenses and kill Bel-shazzar the king.

The throne of the empire of Babylon was forever broken in only one hour. But the city

was not destroyed. Darius made it the capital of his empire. He already held a throne of empire so he did not take the imperial throne of Babylon to himself. He slew it.

The nature and sudden death of ancient Babylon is all prophetic of the nature and soon

death of Great Babylon of the end-times. She also dies of betrayal in one hour. The

ambush will be very soon. I believe that it will come on the Feast of Trumpets. GreatBabylon dies first.

5th

KING: GRECIA-MACEDONIA

This empire is the Leopard of Daniel and is known today as the empire of Greece. Itslew the Media-Persian Empire when Alexander the Great defeated Darius III and

entered Babylon in 331 B.C.

Alexander then set his throne up in the city. He did not take the throne of Darius tohimself, because Alexander also had an imperial throne of his own. This means thatthree consecutive thrones of the kings of prophecy resided in Babylon. A fourth is yet to

come.

Alexander’s throne was not broken after his death but it was divided between four

generals. The Promised Land came under the rule of these Hellenic dynasties that werederived from Alexander’s generals. The dividing of this throne will give us insight for

later events. Hellenic law was still practiced on these thrones. Remember, dividing is

not destroying. When a throne is destroyed it passes out of existence and the basis of thelegal system is changed.

The Hellenic rule continued throughout most of the inter-testamental period. The

Hellenic dynasties that were relevant to the Promised Land (the Seleu-cids and the

Ptolemys) received their thrones from Alexander the Great without his throne beingbroken. They continued Hellenic rule.

In this time period the Seleucids constituted the kings of the north and the Ptolemys

composed the kings of this south. These kings fought between each other over the

Promised Land.

During this time the Jewish Maccabee family was able to establish a near-independencefor Judea, but the family never approached breaking the throne of the Grecian, or fifth

empire.

6th

KING: ROME

Rome had to dismember and slay the Grecian empire part by part. The Seleu-cid branch

of Alexander’s throne was broken in 61 B.C. by Pompey the Great. Pompey is the

general that brought Jerusalem under the rule of the Roman Empire.

When Rome conquered the Promised Land, Herod the Great was given power over it intrust from, and in subjection to, the Roman Empire.

King Herod and his dynasty were in complete subjection to Roman rule and had

embraced the Hellenic-derived concepts on which the pagan Roman Empire

ruled. Herod and his followers (the Herodians) worked tirelessly to Hellenize the Jewish

culture. Jesus called these pagan concepts the “leaven of Herod.”

The subjection of Judah by the Roman imperial throne is why the Romans had to be the

ones to pass the sentence of death on Jesus and nail him to the cross. The Romans did

not allow subject kingdoms to exercise capital punishment. The Roman execution recordstated that Jesus was crucified for being the “King of the Jews”.

THE SEVEN KINGS AND THE TIME OF THE NEW TESTAMENT

Now we are at the point in the riddle where the angel told John that five of the kings hadalready fallen and that one “is”. Rome is the one that “is” at the time John was writing.

We have now identified the first six kings. But these six kings should be “givens” to the

student of prophecy. So we really haven’t accomplished very much yet except to setdown two standards of identity and explain how all of the first six kings completely metthese standards.

To identify the seventh and eighth, we will simply continue to use the two basic standards

that were set up in the beginning of this study. Also, we will be able to gain further

insight by considering the nature of some of the events that surrounded the first six kings.

This should make it easy to identify the two kings who were yet to come at the time of

John’s writing. But so few still see, even though we are in the last hours before the last

days. My prayer is that you will become a seer. God wants you to see, and I want you to

see.

SEEING THE SEVENTH KING  If the seventh king is to be an empire that had not yet come at the time of John, but will

both slay the sixth, and rule the Promised Land, then it should be very easy to identify.

All we have to do is follow our two rules of identification. These rules are consistent

throughout the four thousand year history of the Promised Land. They do not break down at any time.

The obvious question at this point is, “Who slew the Roman Empire?” However, the

answer is not as obvious as the question. The thrones of empires have a habit of moving,

and if you are looking at the city instead of the throne, you will come to a wrongconclusion.

Many mistakenly believe the Roman Empire died in 410 A.D. when the barbarians

sacked the city of Rome.

Others think the empire died in 476 A.D. when Romulus Augustulus was overthrown in

the west by the Germanic armies of Odoacer. If this were so, the Germans would be the

slayer of the sixth empire.

But Romulus was considered a usurper, and his authority over the west was not evenrecognized by Zeno, who safely held the Roman imperial throne at Constantinople. Yes,

Constantinople, a city a thousand miles east of Rome. That city is now known as

Istanbul.

There is the possibility that the throne of the empire had been divided, like that of Alexander’s throne. If this were so, then the Germanic people would have slain the co-

regent western throne of the empire. But the fact that the imperial throne at

Constantinople considered Romulus a usurper means that the throne was not truly

divided.

The imperial throne had been moved to Constantinople in 330 A.D. The move was made

by Constantine nearly a century and a half before Romulus’ defeat.

Page 11: The Seven Kings Riddle

8/14/2019 The Seven Kings Riddle

http://slidepdf.com/reader/full/the-seven-kings-riddle 11/23

You must realize that the Roman world was not centered in the Italian peninsula. TheRoman Empire was built on the Hellenic culture of the eastern Mediterranean. The

Hellenic culture had its origins in the region of the Hellespont, in the eastern Balkans on

the Sea of Marmara.

Constantinople stands on the shore of that sea. It remained the imperial Fortress City of

the Christianized Roman world for a thousand years. Rome moved eastward, notwestward. This is very important for understanding end times prophecy. And remember,

Christianity was also from the east.

Contrary to what we westerners like to believe, the Roman world was, in reality, anEastern Mediterranean world that had reached into the west for a time. When significant

outside pressures came upon the empire, the western half was not able to stand.

In contrast, Constantinople was able to stand firm against the successive barbarian

invasions that swept into the Mediterranean world. The eastern half stood firm while thewestern half collapsed.

This means that neither one of the fifth century dates commonly associated with the fall

of the Roman Empire is anywhere close to the true date of its death.

The eastern orientation of the Empire comes into clearer focus when you realize that

Western Europe was the lower populated, less developed region of the RomanEmpire. Western Europe was never typical of the empire and did not represent the true

power, wealth, development, culture, education, or religion of the Empire.

FOLLOW THE THRONE, NOT THE CITY

Remember, follow the throne. If you do not, you will be misled. We have already notedthat two of the five thrones that existed before Rome had moved from their original cities

to Babylon. Both Darius the Mead and Alexander the Great moved their thrones to the

city. Furthermore, Alexander’s throne then split into four thrones in four locationswithout being broken.

This means that at least three of the first five empires of prophecy consecutively located

their thrones in the city of Babylon. Two were slain in the city. The point at this time isthat over the centuries the thrones of the empires moved. As long as the thrones moved

and stood, the empires stood.

Understanding this history gives us a lead in our search for the seventh king. Like

previous thrones, did the imperial throne of the Roman Empire also move? Because of your new knowledge, you should now be able to correctly answer this question. You

should also be able to state where the throne moved.  Can you?

In 330 A.D., nearly a century before the city of Rome was first sacked, Constantine hadmoved the throne eastward to Constantinople. He made the move for several good

reasons, one of which was the need for a seaport. The old city did not set on the sea and

did not have access to an adequate seaport. Because of the geography of the region, itcould not build one.

The new capital was given the name of New Rome. Its citizens were bona fide citizens

of the Roman Empire, just like other citizens all over the Mediterranean basin. When the

Page 12: The Seven Kings Riddle

government was moved eastward, the city became the new seat of the imperial throne of the Roman Empire.

The people of New Rome did not call the empire “Byzantium” as the west was to do and

they did not call their city “Constantinople.” In the eyes of the east, there was no such

empire and no such city.

The west called them Byzantines because it did not want to acknowledge that Rome stillstood in all its glory in the east when the west fell to pieces in the turmoil that took place

in the fifth century. During this time the imperial throne of Rome was not scathed, much

less broken.

THE RISE OF THE SEVENTH KING

The imperial throne of Rome was destined to stand until the fifteenth century A.D. But

the seventh empire that was to slay it, rose in the deserts of Arabia in the seventh century.

The seventh king is rooted in the unusual mixture of violent politics and theology that

formed the foundation of Islamic Law. Muhammad taught that world peace is to bebrought by Islamic conquest. The Muslims believed then, and still do today, that they

were ordained by God to create the one global nation of Islam, and they were to do it by

conquest.

This means that globalism is not new. A religious based, military globalism is soon toprove itself to be far more powerful than western secular globalism. It is very possible

that the two will join in their purposes.

The idea behind Islam is that by destroying all other nations, this one nation could bring

ultimate justice and peace. This doctrine meant that the new religion was inspired fromits inception by the gospel of war—in contrast to the gospel of peace.

Because Constantinople was the capital of the Christianized world, Islam’s major goal

was to conquer Constantinople within the first hundred years of Mohammad. The planwas to bring two armies against the city. One was to enter Europe through Spain and

sweep eastward. The second army was to move north and then westward across Asia

Minor. The two armies were then to meet at Constantinople and squeeze the city to deathin a fatal pincer attack.

But the conquest did not go as intended. Islam’s western army was crushed in

France. Then the eastern army was not able to breach defenses in what is now the heart

of Asia Minor. It could not move west. Neither army reached the city; the conquest wasdelayed for centuries.

MOVEMENT OF THE SEVENTH THRONE

Muhammad created the imperial throne of the Caliph in the 630’s A.D. when the first

Jihad, or holy war of Islam, captured Mecca. In the ensuing centuries, the throne of the

Caliph was destined to move more than any of the other imperial thrones of prophecy.

It first traveled to Damascus. On the way the Islamic throne captured Jerusalem. The

Promised Land fell to Islam in 637 A.D. This is the year that the Roman Empire lost

Page 13: The Seven Kings Riddle

8/14/2019 The Seven Kings Riddle

http://slidepdf.com/reader/full/the-seven-kings-riddle 13/23

control of Jerusalem. But the loss of control would not be guaranteed until the Romanthrone was broken and could not seize the land back.

The Caliphate then moved northeasterly to Babylon. However the Euphrates River had

changed its course and the city was no longer suitable for use as the capital of an

empire. The Arabs solved the problem by moving north to the Tigris River, which had a

stable course. There they rebuilt Babylon in 762 A.D.—and they changed the name toBaghdad.

There are significant prophetic passages about Great Babylon in the end-times. Is it

possible that the Babylon of old rises again to become the Great Babylon of the end-timeprophecies? Some think so. You will have to read the following and let the Lord guide

you in your decision.

Why Iraq is Not Great Babylon

Neither Baghdad nor ancient Babylon can be the Great Babylon of the end times. This is

because these cities have none of the prophetic attributes that are required of the “city” of the end-times.

Iraq does not dominate the world’s shipping routes. Neither are its merchants or

politicians the leading businessmen and governors of the world.

Iraq’s militaristic political leaders are looked on as anything but world leaders. Thegovernors, seamen and merchants of the world will not stand back in horror and grieve

over the sudden destruction of Iraq. The governors of the world recently went to

war against Iraq and will do so again.

The nations of the world have over 25,000 large cargo ships. If Iraq is destined todominate the merchant seamen of the world, as Great Babylon does, then a sizable

number of these large cargo ships should be registered to, or owned by, Iraq. Iraq has

none. This is because Iraq has no deep-water ports. It cannot construct them because of theshallow nature of the northern Persian Gulf. Iraq does not have one place where large

ships can dock. Money and technology are not the issue.

Like the misfortune of the city of Rome, Iraq can never build a deep-water port becausethe geography of the region prohibits it. So the end-times spirit of Babylon has moved.

Even if the Persian Gulf was made of different geography, Babylon could not become a

cargo port for seamen. It is as far inland as Atlanta, Georgia. The river that once flowed

past ancient Babylon cannot be navigated by sea going ships any more than the river thatflows past Atlanta.

Furthermore, the trade routes that made ancient Babylon great are all gone—and they aregone forever. They are gone because seamen learned how to sail around the horn of

Africa. It is merchant ships that brought the ultimate demise of ancient Babylon’s powerand wealth—they are not the means of its wealth. Merchant shipping did not bring glory

to Babylon, it destroyed Babylon.

Then, to drive another nail in the coffin, last century the French dug the Suez

Canal. This feat makes matters even more sure that the trade routes will not come back.

Page 14: The Seven Kings Riddle

8/14/2019 The Seven Kings Riddle

http://slidepdf.com/reader/full/the-seven-kings-riddle 14/23

Even when the Suez Canal was blocked for eight years, the trade routes simply continuedaround Africa. Before the ancient trade routes could come back to Iraq men would have

to forget how to sail the high seas.

Furthermore, as long as Iraq is an Islamic nation it cannot give rise to the great merchants

of the world. All Islamic states are socialist states. The governments control the

economy through laws, taxation, and planning for the self-perceived needs of thegovernments. This state of affairs is required by the Quran, or religious book of

Islam. No Muslim state will violate it.

All Islamic states consider the financial and developmental needs of their citizens to be of secondary importance to the purposes of the state and the needs of Islam. Energetic

capitalism cannot develop in this kind of political and religious environment.

This means that the Babylon of Iraq cannot break the spirit of socialist, religious Islam

and become the great merchant to the world. It cannot do it in one generation, or twogenerations, or a multitude of generations.

In contrast, Great Babylon carries the spirit of the world system. In New Testament

times that spirit had traveled to Rome. Peter ended his second letter with a greeting from

the saints of Babylon. Peter was identifying the Rome of his day as the spirit of Babylon. This greeting positively illustrates that the spirit of Babylon has moved over

time.

If modern day Iraq is in the spirit of any of the prophetic seven empires it would have to

be Assyria, not Babylon.

These are all reasons why Iraq is not the Babylon of end-times prophecy.

FURTHER MOVEMENT OF THE SEVENTH KING

In 945 A.D. the Islamic throne was captured by non-Arabs and moved eastward to

Persia. Next, the throne was captured by the non-Arab Turks, who moved it westward toAnatolia in the heart of Asia Minor.

The key at this point is that none of these peoples broke the imperial throne of

Islam. Their leaders ascended to the throne and took the title and law of the Caliphate as

the supreme law of their realms.

Even though dynasties changed through the centuries, the goal of Islam remained thecapture of the fortress city of Christendom. The Muslims believed that when they

captured that city they would be able to easily subject the remaining nations of the world.

Eventually, the Ottoman Turks held the throne of the Caliph. The Ottomans were able to

build an army of a quarter of a million warriors. By the first use of the canon, this army

finally breached the walls of Constantinople and captured the city in 1453 A.D.

This conquest marks the death of the true imperial throne of Rome. Its scepter was

broken forever. What is taking place in western Europe today is not the restoration of the

scepter of the sixth throne. They are not going back to ancient Roman Law.

The sixth king was finally slain one thousand years later than most western historians—

and students of prophecy—realize. And it was slain by an entirely different “king” than

Page 15: The Seven Kings Riddle

8/14/2019 The Seven Kings Riddle

http://slidepdf.com/reader/full/the-seven-kings-riddle 15/23

they realize. It should be obvious though. The sixth king was slain by the throne that hadtaken the Promised Land centuries earlier.

This issue is critical for a clear and right understanding of end-times prophecy. Without

it, your expectations will be misplaced and you will not be able to see the prophetic

events that are occurring right now before your eyes.

You will be blinded by one more deception, and you will be looking for events that willnever happen, while the ambush comes upon you. This is a basic military

strategy. Modern warriors know their job.

7th

KING: CALIPH OF ISLAM

The Caliph of Islam fulfilled the first requirement for the title of the seventh king of prophecy in 637 A.D. when it captured Jerusalem. It did not fulfill the second

requirement until 1453 A.D. when it finally conquered Constantinople and broke the

imperial throne of Roman. It was not until the fifteenth century A.D. that the seventh

king slew the sixth king.

There is an incredible time span of eight hundred years between these two events, but ithad to eventually happen. The same seventh throne accomplished both conquests—

against the same sixth throne. This means that both thrones stood and struggled against

each other for the better part of a millennium. But the prophetic similitude stood.

Over a period of less than seven hundred years (from the 730’s B.C. to the 60’s B.C.), six

separate prophetic “kings” ruled the Promised Land. There was a rate of turnover in the

kings of one every one hundred eleven years.

If this rate of turnover had continued throughout the Christian era, twenty-four separateimperial “kings” would have conquered the Promised Land by now. Yet there was only

one imperial conquest from the days of Jesus until our century.

No one could have foreseen this sudden shift in the lifespan of the prophetic kings excepta God who knows tomorrow.

Do you now “see” the seventh king? God wants you to see the king. Do you understand

how no other king could have fulfilled the prophecy of the seventh king? It has to be the

Islamic Caliphate.

BUT THE SEVENTH KING MUST REMAIN FOR ONLY “A LITTLE WHILE”

How could the seventh king remain for a “little while” yet last twice as long as any of the

six previous kings? Does this not negate Islam as being the seventh king?

No it does not, because we do not understand the Greek in which the prophecy was first

written. The single Greek word that is translated as “little while” in Revelation 17:10 in the KingJames, and subsequent English versions, is also translated as “great ” in Acts 15:2; as

“long time” in Acts 14:28; and as “number ” meaning many in Acts 17:4 and 17:12.

This means that our translations may be giving the opposite to the true meaning of the

passage!

Page 16: The Seven Kings Riddle

8/14/2019 The Seven Kings Riddle

http://slidepdf.com/reader/full/the-seven-kings-riddle 16/23

Furthermore, time reference is relative between God and man. In Hebrews 10:37 we aretold that Christ’s return will be in “a very little while.” At the time of this prophecy His

return was at least 1,900 years away, but it is yet a very little while.

THE EIGHTH KING MUST COME FROM THE SEVENTH

Now, after all this, we are finally ready to begin solving the riddle. In so doing we aregoing to confront one of the great conundrums of the Bible. A conundrum is aparadoxical, apparently unsolvable problem. In this instance it is a true Gordian knot, but

we are going to now solve it.

You must grasp the nature of the following problem, and you must understand its

solution, if you are to “see” the eighth king who will be the beast. Being able to see andappreciate the significance of the eighth king is the whole purpose in God giving this

prophetic riddle to us. Pause and ask God to give you assurance in your spirit about

whether the answer is correct.

First you have to see the paradox so you can understand how contradictory the words of the prophecy appear to be. Remember, every new king slays the previous king. This

means that none of the first seven kings can come from each other. They cannot, simply

because each succeeding king slays the previous king.

Yet, the eighth king must come from the seventh. How is this possible? He can’t comefrom the seventh if he slays the seventh? This is the conundrum, and it is the very heart

of the intrigue of the prophecy.

The impossible must happen, and you must figure out how it happens. This paradox

greatly reinforces the prophecy by eliminating all contending kings that do not answer therequirements of the paradox.

When the problem is solved, you will see how God is using this enigma to set up a

binding situation that will serve two purposes. First, it will clearly identify the eighthking. Second, and very importantly, it will eliminate all pretenders, or other kings, fromclaim to the title. This makes the identification doubly sure.

God uses conundrum in his prophetic testimony throughout the scriptures. For example, how could the Messiah be born in Bethlehem, be called out of Egypt, and be from

Galilee? When taken together, these three prophecies are mutually exclusive. They

cannot possibly be describing one person, can they? Their fulfillment by one personcreates a conundrum.

If one out of every one thousand male Jews was born in the tiny town of Bethlehem, and

if one in one hundred thousand was called out of Egypt, and if one in four lived inGalilee, then the probability of one person fulfilling just these three prophecies is one ineight hundred million.

This figure is believed to be several times the population of the entire world at the time of

Christ. Two purposes are served by this triple prophecy. First, it identifies the person

who is the object of the prophecy. Second, it eliminates all other potential contenders.

Page 17: The Seven Kings Riddle

8/14/2019 The Seven Kings Riddle

http://slidepdf.com/reader/full/the-seven-kings-riddle 17/23

Likewise, the eighth king must achieve mutually exclusive feats. He must slay theseventh king, but he must arise from the seventh king.

First, we must rightly identify the seventh king, which so many have failed to do, but

which we have done. It is the imperial throne of Islam. It is the king who took the

Promised Land from Rome and who eventually slew the imperial throne of Rome.

The reason so many have failed to properly identify the seventh king is that they havemisunderstood when and by whom the sixth king died. They failed to follow the travel of

the sixth king’s throne. In turn, they fail to follow the throne because they fail to

adequately understand the role of the throne in the creation and death of governingauthority.

Because of the nature of this prophetic riddle, we should be able to “see” who the eighth

king is when we know the seventh king. This is unique, because none of the previous

kings can be positively identified by the king that came before them.

For this prophecy to be fulfilled, the eighth king must be the seventh king, yet slay theseventh king and then become the eighth. This seems completely illogical. (If you can’t

follow this train of thought, don’t worry about it. After a few readings you should be able

to see it.)

WHO SLEW THE SEVENTH KING ?

The Ottoman Empire held the imperial throne of Islam that slew the sixth king in the

fifteenth century A.D. Imperial Islam had taken the Promised Land to itself in the

seventh century. This seventh king continued to hold the Promised Land until the last

year of World War I.

Many believe that the Allies defeated the Ottoman Empire. This is because the western

nations had developed a plan early in the twentieth century for dividing up the Islamic

Empire. This was for two reason, one of which was rooted in the fact that the Ottoman Empirewas virtually impossible to deal with in international relations. It had its own way of

honoring and dishonoring treaties that were tied to doctrines and directives in the Quran.

The western powers decided to break the throne and divide the empire into a multiple of small states. Then they placed rulers over each state that would have their own family

interests that would be at odds with Islamic empire building.

To reestablish the empire would require the Islamists to agree on a throne-holder. This

person would have to be in a linage that would be acceptable by the Sunni or Shia sectsof Islam.

The idea was to prevent this process from taking place by not enabling anyone acceptablewith Islamic doctrine to be in power. Furthermore, the rulers all know that if they lose

power they will die. This is one of the reasons there is so much internal discontent inMuslim nations today.

The Ottoman empire was broken, but the western powers were not able to directly slay

it. There are two significant reasons.

Page 18: The Seven Kings Riddle

8/14/2019 The Seven Kings Riddle

http://slidepdf.com/reader/full/the-seven-kings-riddle 18/23

First, Lawrence of Arabia was a British officer who was a military adviser to theArabs. He advised and organized the Arabs in their revolt against the Ottoman

Empire. In 1918 the Promised Land was “liberated” from the Ottomans by the Arabs, not

the British nor the French.

This is because King Faisal, who was the eldest descendent of the lineage of Muhammad

and the genetic heir to the Caliphate, built the Arab armies that entered Damascus withLawrence. It was King Faisal who drove the Ottoman governors out of the Promised

Land.

This feat means that the genetic heir of the Caliphate, whose family had lost the Caliphatea thousand years earlier, captured back the Promised Land.

With the sword, the original Caliphate lord cut the Promised Land loose from the current

Caliphate holders. With the sword the seventh king received a deep prophetic blow.

But King Faisal did not break the Ottoman Empire when he “liberated” the Promised

Land in 1918. The throne still stood at Constantinople. This means that the seventh kinghad not yet been slain.

It would only take four more years to accomplish this feat, and its death would be by a

completely different means than the deaths of the previous six empires.

NEW WAYS OF SLAYING THRONES

Revolution is a relatively new way of slaying thrones. It is conquest from within insteadconquest from without. The doctrine of revolution was developed in the late seventeenth

century by John Locke and first used by British colonies in North America. They fired

the shot heard around the world and began the age of secular revolution.

This revolutionary method provides a way the eighth could slay the seventh, yet at thesame time, come from the seventh.

More importantly, revolution can also be accomplished by a means other than a sword.

Secular revolutionary doctrines rose in power in modern Turkey through the TurkishNationalist Party under the leadership of Kemal Ataturk.

Incredibly, during World War I, he had played a pivotal role in repelling the Allied

invasion of Turkey and saving the Caliphate of Islam. He was the greatest living hero of

the Ottoman Empire. Yet as soon as he gained political authority, he worked to slay it.

After World War I, he established a provisional government that gained enough power by1922 to write the Caliphate out of existence. It was done by the creation of a new,

western style, non-imperial, secular constitution.

What does this mean? It means the seventh king was slain by the pen of the seventhking. The first prophetically impossible hurdle had been leaped. The Gordian knot wasunraveling.

But Ataturk did not create a new and eighth imperial throne. He only slew the

seventh. For the prophecy to be maintained, the eighth king must be born before the

generation that saw the death of the seventh passes away. This does not leave much time.

THE RISE OF THE EIGHTH KING

Page 19: The Seven Kings Riddle

8/14/2019 The Seven Kings Riddle

http://slidepdf.com/reader/full/the-seven-kings-riddle 19/23

Remember, the Arabs originated the Caliphate, yet played a role in greatly reducing thepower of the Caliphate when they captured the Promised Land in 1918. They performed

a critical role in pushing the Ottoman Empire back into its homeland.

The land of the eighth king is in hard labor, giving birth at this very time.

The Caliphate can only thrive in a culture of Islamic Fundamentalism. This is because of the union of civil and religious laws that are dictated by the Quran, and are at the heart of the Caliphate.

Modern Islamic fundamentalism had its rebirth in the revolution of Iran in 1979 and is

spreading like wildfire throughout the Muslim world.

Turkey is the west’s one true ally in the Muslim world. But as a result of the sudden riseof Islamic fever, great turmoil and purges are coursing through the Turkish government

today. Not even Turkey will be able to stand against the drive to rebuild the Caliphate of

Islam.

The World Trade Center attack was an act by Muslim soldiers that are working to rebuild

the Caliphate of Islam. Fundamentalism is exploding forth throughout the Islamicworld. The non-Arab Muslims to the north of Israel are on the verge of giving rebirth to

the Caliphate.

One Islamic website keeps track of the days since the Caliphate was broken in 1922 andcalls for all Muslims to act to reestablish the throne (see www.islamic-

state.org ). Another website contains a draft constitution for the soon to be established

Caliphate. It is the most terrifying document I have ever read—bar none

(see www.khilafah.com.pk/articles/draftconst.html ).

The Taliban and Al Quada attack on the World Trade Center was done to draw the

Western world into a third world war with Muslim countries (see the book  Bin Laden:

The Man Who Declared War on America by Yossef Bodansky; also see the website by aformer Islamic mujahadeen warrior www.hindutva.org/AnwarShaikh/islam Be sure toread Shaikh’s work “This is Jehad!”).

When the U.S. destroyed Taliban warplanes the spokesman for the Taliban stated that theU.S. had done a great evil by destroying planes meant for use in World War III. So by

attacking those planes we were attacking Allah and the future of his imperial throne.

The reason for drawing us into a world war is to get us to destroy the non-Islamic

regimes in the Muslim world that the west set up in the first place. Then from the ashesthe Islamics will be able to rebuild the Imperial Throne of the Caliphate.

The Muslims do not hate us because of our misguided state department or even our

support for Israel, or even our troops in Arabia. They hate us because we are the leaderof the infidel world and that infidel world destroyed the Caliphate and now stands in theway of its recreation.

Yossef Bodansky, the brilliant threat analyst, stated on CSPAN television that Ben Laden

grieves over the destruction of the Ottoman Empire. The rebuilding of that empire is

what drives him and is what drives all Islamic Mujahadeen.

WHO WILL HOLD THE THRONE OF THE EIGHTH KING?

Page 20: The Seven Kings Riddle

8/14/2019 The Seven Kings Riddle

http://slidepdf.com/reader/full/the-seven-kings-riddle 20/23

A Turkish throne-holder would not be the true genetic heir to the imperial throne of Islam. The genetic heir to the imperial throne of the Caliphate can only be a descendant

of the Hashimite house of Muhammad. At least that is what the Arab Sunni Muslims

teach.

Incredible as it may sound, an Arab Hashimite king now controls the temple mount in

Jerusalem. He is the King of Jordan. He is also one of the true, but little recognized, power brokers in the mid-east peace talks. Even Egypt has to consider his input in the

process.

The one who controls the temple mount by default controls the final and most significantissues of the talks. This is the source of his power and it is not a coincidence.

King Abdullah II may do as Solomon did, and divide the prized baby. The Palestinians

will get the existing Islamic shrines and Israel will get to rebuild the temple.

Israel and Palestine will each have to accept the brokered treaty they do not want to

accept. They are being forced into it by the “kings” of the world. This treaty will fulfillthe requirements of the prophetic treaty of Daniel 9.

The treaty will become the prophetic anchor for the events of the final seven years. The

signing of the document will begin the count. Israel will have seven years of ministry to

prepare the world, the temple, and the throne for the coming of the Lord.

One set of events needs to happen first. Before the king can divide the third most sacred

site in Islam, he must have some form of authority over all Islam. Muslims are not just

going to set back and watch the temple mount being divided.

The Caliphate is the only title of authority over all Islam. The throne will be re-titled andthe heir to the imperial throne will probably receive his coronation in Mecca. This will

constitute the formal birth of the eighth king.

But in spite of birthright, the eighth king will probably not be Jordan. Egypt will take thethrone of the Sunni Caliphate of the Arab Muslims. Egypt is the home of the militaryalliance of the Arab League and considered to be the prophetic King of the South.

However, even with the rebirth of the Arab Caliphate, we do not yet have the birth of the

beast.

The rebirth will take place and it will enable the authority of the king to be“symbolically” expanded over all Muslims. The world will take a giant step toward the

global nation of Islam at this time. The Arab Muslims will be more apt to bow in

acceptance of a decision by an Imperial throne to divide the temple mount.

The king of Jordan will receive an honorary office as a tip of the hat to his pedigree. The

King of Jordan’s pedigree can be traced back to Mohammad’s generation through Fatimaby visiting the web atwww.almanach.be/central.html Once at the website, pick “search”

then pick “J” to go to Jordan.

You will see King Faisal’s name again, as well as King Abdullah II of Jordan.

THE NORTHERN KINGS WILL NOT ACCEPT THE SOUTHERN THRONE

Page 21: The Seven Kings Riddle

8/14/2019 The Seven Kings Riddle

http://slidepdf.com/reader/full/the-seven-kings-riddle 21/23

The Muslims to the north of Israel are mostly non-Arabs and are of the Shia sect. Theytrace the Caliphate pedigree differently than the Arabs. They will react to the division of

the temple mount by the Sunni Muslims, but most importantly they will react to the

creation of the Sunni Caliphate.

They will act quickly to create their own Caliphate. To lend legitimacy the coronation it

will be held in the mosque of the imperial throne in Constantinople. This is the mosquewhere coronations of the Caliph have taken place for the last four hundred years.

So now we will have two horns for Islam. And the makings of a beast.

The nations that will unite under the northern Caliphate will consist mainly of non-Arab

Muslims who will not accept the authority of the Sunni Arab Caliphate. They are manyin number and they are far better armed than the Arab Muslims. Remember, Turkey is a

NATO nation.

Two different Caliphates simply will not do. How can there be the fulfillment of the

Islamic prophecy of the one global nation of Islam when there are two Islamicempires. The Kings of the North do what they must to solve the problem and they act

quickly. They are going to subject the southern king as fast as they can.

By so doing the Shia Muslims will become the prophetic Kings of the North and attack

Jerusalem under the leadership of the Persian Bear of the North, which is Iran, notRussia. Remember, Iran is leading the fundamentalist revolution throughout much of

Islam. Even the activities in Afganistan and the Balkans are actually under the direction

of Dr. Iman Madhi in Iran.

The Arab Muslims know that they must create a Caliphate, because Iran intends to re-establish the Caliphate and it will be non-Arab Shia. This threat gives a very important

second drive to the Arab Sunni Muslims to re-establish a Caliphate as soon as is possible.

When the Kings of the North attack Israel, they will first pass through and attack theCaliphate of the South. They won’t really be attacking Israel at the time, they are afterthe King of the South’s throne.

Their goal is to break the Sunni Caliphate before it can get firmly established. Theydon’t want the competition in the mission of building the one global nation of Islam. The

King of the North gives the King of the South an ultimatum. Submit or be destroyed.

The King of the South will submit, and out of political deference and negotiation, his

throne will not be destroyed. This is the first time that a throne of an empire will not bedestroyed by its conqueror and it poses an administrative problem. How can the

conqueror sit on both thrones?

A new kind of throne will be created—higher than the throne of empire. The thrones of both empires will keep their “horns.” Both Muslim empires will be in subjection to thisnew level of government. It is a beast, and it is the throne of the beast who will be the

false-prophet.

The Kings of the North and the King of the South will then turn north to attack Jerusalem

together.

Page 22: The Seven Kings Riddle

http://slidepdf.com/reader/full/the-seven-kings-riddle 22/23

But God has taken an oath to protect Jerusalem. In so doing, he will turn the oath that theKings have repeated against Israel onto their own heads. The armies of the Kings of the

North will be miraculously driven into the Medeterrian Sea and the armies of the Kings

of the South will be miraculously driven into the Dead Sea. But the beast will still live, because his throne is not broken.

The beast is seriously wounded, and he must regain strength. To do this he makes analliance. He goes to Constantinople, where another beast has risen quickly out of the

sea. It is the seven-headed sea beast. The rise of the sea beast is even more complexthan the rise of the two-horned land beast.

This western beast rises from a sudden, destructive ambush of the golden empire of Great

Babylon. The next letter will contain the story of the identification and development of

the seven-headed sea beast. It is far more horrific than the land beast, but just as sure.

WHAT YOU SHOULD NOW REALIZE

The religion of the end times that carries the mark and beheads myriads of tribulationsaints will prove to be Fundamentalist Islam, not European neo-Catholicism, not soft-

hearted New Age quasi-mysticism, and not a combination of the two.

The mark will not be based in twenty-first century technology, and it will not be rooted in

a European secular economic system. It is a brand that comes in submission to Allah. Ithas been around for one thousand three hundred years.

The Islamic fundamentalists are slaying millions and millions right now—even faster

than Hitler was able to gas the Jews in the chambers of Europe. All that a Fundamentalist

Muslim needs is a good-sized sword.

Soon, the beast will add a low-tech branding iron. Millions can put this method of

enforcement to use. All you have to have is murder in your heart, and this is easily

created by historic Islamic doctrine. The mark is from the east.BUT WHO IS THE WOMAN WHO SITS ON THE MOUNTAINS?

The mountains are not the seven hills of the city of Rome. Constantinople also sets on

seven hills, but it is not the “woman” setting on the seven mountains. The hills are only a

similitude of the prophetic mountains.

Prophecy explicitly describes the mountains as heads and as kings. They are empires.

Catholicism never directly ruled over any of the seven empires—not even the Roman

Empire. The Roman Empire was much deeper involved with the Eastern Orthodox

Church. All the church counsels that were held under Roman rule were held in the east

under the umbrella of the Eastern Orthodox Church, where the Roman church never had

any authority.

By the time that the Roman Church gained significant political power, the imperial throne

of Rome had long moved to Constantinople, and the western half of the empire had

(1)  the Egyptian imperial throne,(2)  the Assyrian imperial throne,

(3)  the Babylonian imperial throne,

(4)  the Persian imperial throne,(5)  the Greco/Macedonian imperial throne,

(6)  the longest lasting and last seat of the Roman imperial throne,(7)  and all the locations of the Islamic imperial throne . . .. . . are now, and have all been under the rule of Islam for hundreds of years.

Islam is now, and will be, the ruling religious queen, drunk with the blood of the saints,

that sits on the seven mountains of prophetic history.

Islam is the only religion that now rules, or ever ruled, over all seven mountains and whotruly holds the title of the queen of the slayers of the saints.

Islam slays the saints and holds their blood up as a sacrifice to her god. The time of the

tribulation, which is the rule of terrorism, is at the door. It will create myriads of martyrs.

And what about the prophetic eighth king of Revelation Seventeen?

He is a king, the Madhi of Islam, who will sit on a throne above the empires of the Kings

of the North and the King of the South. He joins the two horns together. His throne is increation right now.

When you have looked at the rubble of the fallen towers in New York City, you have

seen and felt the work of those who are building the throne of the eighth king.

He is the beast.
