Scripture

1 Peter 2:19-25 (NKJV)

9 For this is commendable, if because of conscience toward God one endures grief, suffering wrongfully. 20 For what credit is it if, when you are beaten for your faults, you take it patiently? But when you do good and suffer, if you take it patiently, this is commendable before God. 21 For to this you were called, because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that you should follow His steps:

22 “Who committed no sin, Nor was deceit found in His mouth”;

23 who, when He was reviled, did not revile in return; when He suffered, He did not threaten, but committed Himself to Him who judges righteously; 24 who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed. 25 For you were like sheep going astray, but have now returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls.

Come shower Michael and Ceci Tesh with love and support as they prepare for the birth of Blessing’s little sister in Kenya. Women, men and youth are all invited to bring a “portable” expression of your love and support for the family: a prayer, a Bible verse, a bit of advice, a poem, any written expression of your love and best wishes. BIBLE STUDY FOR GIRLS

Grades 6-8

June 2, 9, 16, 23, 30, 2017 (Fridays)

7:00 - 8:30 pm

Trish Gray taught this class a few years ago, and it was a huge success! Trish has agreed to do this exciting Bible study again. Beautiful In God’s Eyes is a four-week study that examines the lives of several women of the Bible. The study contrasts the world’s standard of beauty, which can lead to poor self-image, with God’s standards, which include courage, leadership, love and unselfishness, and service. Also, the girls will be involved in active learning, prayer, and service as they grow spiritually. This study encourages close communication between the church and home and fosters a commitment to Christ. A special reception, honoring our beautiful young ladies will complete our time together. All family and friends are invited to attend. We hope your daughter, granddaughter, niece, etc. will participate! If interested, please fill out the form below and return to the church via mail or bring to the church and place in the collection plate.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ YES, sign me up for the “Beautiful In God’s Eyes” Bible Study.
