The second edition of Beirut Design Fair has confirmed its position as an indispensable meeting place for Design collectors and connoisseurs from Lebanon and the surrounding region.

BEIRUT DESIGN FAIR 2018 A concentrate of talents and experts

The choice to increase the level of quality every year paid dividends, with a strong focus on high level exhibitors that supported the fair’s two fold mission: to uncover the region’s brightest talents, and to offer a unique stage for spotlighting the most important designers from previous generations.

BEIRUT DESIGN FAIR #3 Giving visitors a « ! » moment

With its 2nd edition, Beirut Design Fair has confirmed the role and the place of Beirut as the platform for connecting the creative scene with the collectors, sponsors and investors of a fertile city, under permanent construction, where many innovative projects are currently emerging: hotels, restaurants, high-end residences, shopping centers , offices ...

By choosing Beirut as the place to put modern and contemporary collectible design under the spotlight, the aim is to attract not only of the Lebanese but also of an international audience - Design collectors, interior architects, purchasing advisors, luxury industry, knowledgeable amateurs and the media - to this ever growing market.

Precious jewel, Beirut Design Fair mixes with discernment modern and contemporary design. The event is positioned at the highest level of quality and confronts the aesthetic, plastic and functional aspirations of the present time. This ambition is underscored by the importance of the Selection Committee, which brings together five of the leading experts from the Middle East and Europe, each of these specialists playing a leading role on the international design scene.

The event aims to be Lebanese, and contributes to strengthening the image of Lebanon and Beirut as a major international hub for contemporary creation and innovation but has also the ambition to attract a wider, foreign and stemming public from the neighbouring countries.

The concomitant 10th edition of Beirut Art Fair (40,000 visitors expected) will contribute to the success of the 3rd edition of BDF and the partnership between the two shows is renewed and strengthened.

The effervescence and creativity of Beirut, where all year round Design events take place, were established in 2018 with the success of Beirut Design Fair’s 2nd edition. More than 35,000 visitors are expected for the 3rd edition, from September 18th (VIP Opening) to 22nd !

CONFIRMATION OF THE MARKET PLACEDespite an acknowledged number of collectors, designers, architects and interior designers operating in the Middle East, especially in Lebanon, Beirut Design Fair has been the first event focusing on the creation of high-end contemporary collectible design, when most events where focusing on historic and vintage design, or on unlimited design editions. Hailed by the media, the success of the 2nd edition was a revelation to the eyes of almost 20,000 visitors and 56 exhibitors. More than 91% of exhibitors traded during the Fair and the weeks that followed!

The presence of the best Lebanese galleries and designers as well as the presentation of new talents and innovative projects confirmed BDF as a high-level platform, the reference of design rendez-vous in the Middle East.
