Orange and black are Halloween colors because orange is associated with the Fall harvest and black is associated with darkness and death.

In 1896 its founder Leo Hirschfeld wanted a "chocolate" candy that would not melt easily in the heat, and would be an economical artificial alternative to traditional chocolates

Both physical and chemical changes occurred while cooking the tootsie rolls. • Some physical changes include the melting of the butter & chocolate. • Some chemical changes include the sugar caramelized through cooking.

Vampires are mythical beings who defy death by sucking the blood of humans.

There really are so-called vampire bats, but they're not from Transylvania. They live in Central and South America and feed on the blood of cattle, horses and birds.

Signs of a werewolf are a uni-brow, hair palms, tattoos, and a long canine teeth.

Werewolf syndrome is an unusual and rare genetic disorder, which is scientifically known as hypertrichosis.

Lionel the Lion-Faced Man, had congenital terminal hypertrichosis.

Science Fact #6:

Many people still believe that gargoyles were created by medieval architects and stone carvers to ward off evil spirits.

In architecture, a gargoyle is a carved stone grotesque, usually made of granite; In science granite is a intrusive igneous rock (“fire rock”). Granite is usually found in the continental plates of the Earth’s crust.

Blood is associated with the scary aspects of Halloween.

Blood is the life-maintaining fluid that circulates through the body's: heart, arteries, veins, capillaries.Blood carries away from the body waste matter and carbon dioxide.
