DESCRIPTION OF CRIMESaturday night Anne, a resident of the manor that sits on the outskirts of town, was found

slumped over a table holding a teacup in her hand, which police confirmed to have contained poison. Anne’s best friend, Janine, claims that Anne had been in a dispute with Karen, her only relative, over the fact that Janine got more money in Anne’s will than she did. Karen claims the same thing. So Anne, not being one who likes to have disputes with her own relatives, invited her to settle it over a cup of tea. Ann, then knowing that Miranda, one of Anne and Janine’s old coworkers, who disliked them ever since they got her fired for smoking in the working area, invited her over to patch things up. She also invited Janine over to straighten out the problems between Miranda, Anne, and her. Saturday morning, everyone arrived at 9:00 sharp. Karen had brought a plate of muffins to go with the tea. They promptly addressed each other and sat down. Anne went to get the tea but Miranda insisted on getting it. Miranda was gone briefly and then returned to the patio, where they were having the tea party, with the tea. The mailman, who was delivering a package to the neighbor’s house claims he saw Anne take a sip of tea, set down the teacup, then take a bite of the muffin. He claims he saw her take a final sip of tea, and then she died.
