TAKING MONEY FROM DEMOCRATS

SarahSteelman'ssocalled'TeaParty'credentialsarepurelyfraudulent.NotonlyhasSarahSteelmanacceptedenormoussumsmoneyfromtriallawyersandlaborunions,shehasneverbeenabovecollectingbigcontributionsfromprominentDemocrats.Conservativeactivistsandthemedianeedtobeasking:whywouldDemocratsleadersbecontributingthousandsofdollarsoftheirmoneytoSarahSteelman'scampaign?Thereisasimpleanswer.TheyknowthatSarahSteelmanisafraudulentconservative-sheiswillingtovoteagainstconservativecausesifsheisgivenafinancialincentivetodoso.Example1:StephenBough,ChairoftheJacksonCountyDemocraticCommitteeStephenBoughwasoneofanumberofDemocrattriallawyerswhofundedaPoliticalActionCommitteethatgavemorethan$100,000toSarahSteelman'scampaign.Boughpersonallycontributed$1,275ofhisownmoneyinMay2008.It'salmostunheardofforaDemocrat,electedtoapositionofpartyleadership,todefyhispartyanditscandidatesbygivingfinancialsupporttoaRepublican.Example2:IndictedDemocratDeveloperJohnSteffenIn2004,SarahSteelmanreported$6,750incontributionsfromcompaniesandPACsoperatedbyJohnSteffen,aprominentDemocratandSt.LouisDeveloperwhowasrecentlyindictedforfraud.In2006sheacceptedanadditional$1,025incontributionsfromthreeofSteffen'semployees,allmadeduringaperiodof24hours.AschairoftheMissouriHousingDevelopmentCommission,whichgaveSteffen

hundredsofthousandsofdollarsintaxcredits,SarahSteelmanshouldhavereturnedallofthesecontributionstoavoidtheappearanceofaconflictofinterest,andtoshowthatshedoesnotrepresenttheinterestsofwealthyDemocratpoliticaldeveloperswhoselivelihoodsarebasedongovernmentlargesse.Butshedeclinedtodoso.

SarahSteelman'swillingnesstoacceptlargeamountsofmoneyfromgroupsandindividualswhoopposeeverythingsheclaimstosupportisaseriousanddevastatingblowtohercredentialsasaconservativeactivist.HundredsofthousandsofdollarsincontributionsfromDemocratsandspecialinterestsareatestamenttoherroleasaconsummatepoliticalinsider-fromthesamebrandoffailedpoliticiansthatweresoundlydefeatedinthe2008elections.
