Thanks, Fran Islanders in the News: Skagit Valley Herald reported that on February 17th our Samish Island resident, Rob Martin, was awarded the Rotary Foundation’s highest honor in recognition of his 37

years of volunteer service. According to the Rotary Foundation the Distinguished Service Award is given to no more than 50 Rotary members each year. Beverly Harrington, president of Burlington Rotary, said the award is a rare honor! Rob, we are tremendously proud to announce this

outstanding award, congratulations! 2017 Island Directories are now available at Blau Oyster for $4, and they include a “yellow pages” section of Island services.
