The program is now built to support 1:1 Learning and having it completed by 2019.

• Everything you need to know about E-Rate is changing NOW.

• The Priority in Funding will Focus on just 2 Categories:

• Category 1 Broadband access to each eligible school site

• Category 2 Wi-Fi enabled infrastructure for each school

The Wi-Fi funding program will have a minimum of $1 Billion per year for 2015-2019.

• The funding will be based on $150/student to cover 5 years

• Enrollment x District E-Rate % x $150 = Cap Cost for 5 Year Wi-Fi funding

• Ex: 10,000 x 85% x 150 = $1.275M / District 15% = $225K = $1.5 Million

• The network must be built for destiny! (1:1, but in reality 2-3:1)

• Must be built to support students & 1:1 for a minimum of 5 years

• Even tiny 1 room schools will be getting $9,200.00 for Wi-Fi

$1 Billion per year for 5 years just for Wi-Fi

E-Rate 2.0 is now all about just two things: Broadband and Wi-Fi
