Royal Bar Funct ions
The Royal bar is an ideal meeting place for sundowners, off ice parties,
birthdays , engagements or a night out with fr iends
Our dedicated function areas c an accommodate guests from 10 to 100.
BEVERAGES
There are two beverage options available for functions at the Royal on the Waterfront:

Guests are provided with wristbands
and their beverage orders wi l l be charged
to your tab. Pr ice l imits may be implemented on bar tabs, this can be
increased on the day of your function should you choose to.
You may choose to l imit beverage options for your guests by preselecting
a condensed offering.
Finger food can be catered for groups
of 10 guests or more. Choose from one of our suggested menus or
select indiv idual items to create your own. P lease note that
equal quant it ies of each item must be ordered.

VENUE SPACES
THE ROYAL ON THE WATERFRONT is open plan in design; which includes the bar,
restaurant and alfresco area. Function spaces are not private rooms but cordoned areas
within the venue. Contact our functions coordinator to arrange a time to inspect the
venue prior to making any function booking.
Public walkways must be kept clear, in the event that your area crosses a public walkway
it is accepted that traffic wil l be passing throug h the area.
Please note that due to the layout of our venue, we are unable to cater for seminars or
private boardroom meetings, however we can recommend uti l is ing the Sebel Residence
conference room upstairs prior to joining us for nibbles or a meal.

OR HOW ABOUT A SPORTS PACKAGE?
Enjoy your favourite teams match with a group of your mates in your
own private area with a TV just for you!
How could watching your favourite sports team at your favourite pub get any bett er?
How about with your own exclusive area to sit down, or stand up in excitement in. Plus a
pint of beer on arrival , pizza, mini cheese burgers, pork belly, pies and sausage rol ls.
Wait it gets better ; and a waiter for the duration to deliver you more dri nks so you don’t
have to miss a second of the game by heading up to the bar! Grab a package for 6, 10 or
15 people and enjoy your afternoon and hopefully a win.
You and five fr iends can come enjoy yourselves for $350 for the afternoon. Or book in
nine mates for $450. I f you have a whole team to bring down, you and fourteen fr iends
wil l be $600 to enjoy the day out.
Packages run for 4 hours which includes an hour before the game starts, 2 hours during
the match and then an hour afterwards to celebrate your win.. . or not. Bookings are
essential and spots are l imited to one event per day so don’t hesitate contact our
Functions Co-ordinator today to book your sports package.
Function Types
Pub crawls, 18th birthdays, hens & bucks nights and wedding receptions are not accepted functions
21st Birthdays are permitted after consultation; parents must be present at both the consultation and the event
AV & Entertainment
Due to license restrictions, bands/ DJs and other live entertainment is not permitted
Venue house music will be played within the function space, personalised selections or requests are not allowed
Microphones or other external AV is also not permitted
Should there be a television in your function space, this may be used for visual personal use i.e. photo slideshow, but remember the rooms are not exclusive
Decorations
If you require decorations for your function, please consult your functions co-ordinator to ensure these will be permitted in the venue.
Please note that confetti or table scatters of any kind are not permitted

Parking & Access
Free street parking is available on Royal Street Monday to Saturday from 6pm and all day Sunday
City of Perth Parking complex 81-95 Regal Place, East Perth
Free YELLOW cat bus from CBD stop number 32: Haig Park Circle
Nearby train stations: McIver or Claisebrook
Tentative Bookings
We do not accept tentative bookings.
Confirmation
Reservations will only be confirmed on receiving a confirmation email from the venue to the client
Alfresco
Please note that due to our venue license, the alfresco area must close and be cleared 1 hour prior to venue close
BYO policy
No food or beverage of any kind will be permitted into the venue
Birthday / celebration cakes are excepted and may be brought in for the occasion
Food
To avoid under-catering, functions we require all functions cater for at least 75% of their confirmed guests from our finger food or suggested menu options. This includes a minimum of 5 finger food items per person.
All food and canapé orders must be finalised and confirmed in writing 7 days prior to the date of the function. THE ROYAL ON THE WATERFRONT does not accept any changes after this time. Please communicate the dietary requirements of your guests at the time of booking.
Beverages
All beverages are charged on a consumption basis, THE ROYAL ON THE WATERFRONT does not offer drinks packages or discounted beverage for functions.
Responsible Service of Alcohol
THE ROYAL ON THE WATERFRONT complies with Western Australian responsible service of alcohol legislation. All staff are trained in the Liquor Licensing Accredited ‘RSA’ (responsible service of alcohol) and may refuse to serve alcohol to any person who they believe to be intoxicated or acting in disorderly conduct. Any intoxicated person will be removed from the venue
In accordance with liquor licensing laws, minors are only permitted on the premises in the direct company of their parent or legal guardian and may be asked to leave at the discretion of management. At no time is a minor permitted to consume alcohol on the premises
Children are under the direct responsibility of their parent or legal guardian, constant parental supervision is required at all times
Damages and Cleaning
Organisers are financially responsible for any damage to the property, building, furniture, fixtures and fittings during and immediately following the function. This includes any costs for repair or replacement; the organisers of the function are also responsible for damage caused by their guests, outside contractors or agents prior to, during and after the event
Payment
Payment must be finalised by cash or credit card on the day at the conclusion of the event.
If payment is not made on the night of your function, the credit card given when booking will be charged the total amount due.

Minimum Spends
THE ROYAL ON THE WATERFRONT does require a minimum spend overall for all functions held. This minimum spend is dependent on your function numbers. If you reach your minimum spend then your minimum spend deposit will be added to your tab and put towards food and beverage for your function. This deposit will be asked for at the beginning of your function. Please note that if you do not reach your agreed minimum spend, that the deposit will be retained by THE ROYAL ON THE WATERFRONT.
Please note that peak periods November & December have an increase in minimum spend deposit and minimum spend.

If THE ROYAL ON THE WATERFRONT has reasons to believe that any function will affect the smooth running of the venue, its security or reputation, the management reserves the right to cancel at its discretion without notice or liability
