Daily Prayer This Week

This week we see Jesus healing and teaching his disciples about the challenges of following him. As we go through our week, in the smallest moments of the day, we can beg God for strength and courage in our lives. As we awaken in the morning, sort laundry or do the dishes, we can change our attitudes toward these chores and see them as sacred moments of invitation from the God who loves us with such fire and compassion. Dear Lord, you know how I need healing. As you healed so many others, please touch my heart and help me to open my life, my heart and my soul to the love and healing you offer me. I know that if only I could trust in you more, it would change my life. “I do believe! Help my unbelief!” Let me turn all of apprehensions over to you. I beg you to give me the wisdom and courage I need to trust more and to fear less. Teach me to feel your presence deeply in my life so I can stop clinging to my lack of courage and my fear. Let me release anything that holds me back from your love and the embrace of the freedom you offer me. We can find the healing we so deeply want simply by asking God for it and then living as if we have received it. It is not about the amount of time we spend, but about an awareness of God's presence in our lives. Believing and trusting in that love and grace, we can find the humility to say, “I'm sorry” to some-one we have hurt. We can take a moment to write a note or an e-mail telling a suffering friend we are praying for them. And all day long, as we run our errands or sit at our desks, we can take a moment to say “Thank you” to the God on whom we have such an utter dependence and who loves us with such abandon. CD of the Week

For Love and Marriage By Johnnette Benkovic

Johnnette Benkovic shares her conversion back to Jesus Christ

and the Catholic Church and the struggles that came when her

husband didn't share her faith. She explains how the Lord

blessed her in unexpected ways and, through the promptings

of His Holy Spirit, showed her how she could better love her

spouse through it all.

The Gabriel Project The Church offers this program which pro-vides parishioners the means to walk with needy, hurting, pregnant women.

If you are pregnant & in need, please call local hotline: 244-8232

ENVIRONMENTAL STEWARDSHIP Look around your local area to identify churches/villages/cities as well as businesses and home owners who are in-vesting in cleaner energy sources like solar panels, reducing amount of energy used through the use of LED Lights, and using water saving devices. Take time this week to thank them for their efforts to create a more sustainable future for our children. Find out how and why they took these steps.

Palms Needed for Ash Wednesday.

Please deposit your old palms in the basket at the back of Church.

Because We Care

Decisions Can Be Difficult

Trying to decide: Whether to keep or let go, To reach out or pull back To rest or keep going, To speak out or be silent To forgive or stay angry, To offer help or turn away. These choices, and more, tumble and spin around in us. If we bring them to God, we will make wise decisions.

Make the decision to visit the Adoration Chapel today!

That was easy.

Now let God help you with the hard decisions.

Come to the Adoration Chapel to pray any day and consider com-mitting to one hour per week as an Eucharistic Adorer. The Chapel is open to the public from 6am. to 5pm. daily.

“Be holy, for I, the LORD your God, am holy.” Everyone of us is called to be holy!

Is your vocation to holiness to be lived out as a priest, deacon or in the consecrated life?

If God is calling you, talk to Fr. Todd or Fr. Doug at (315) 386-2543/[email protected] or Fr. Tom Higman at (518) 594-3907/[email protected] Cathy Russell, Diocesan Vocation Coordinator at (315)393-2920,

ext. 1450/[email protected]. See us also on Facebook or at www.myvocation.net.
