Sidhi Kumari, the Hon’ble Member of Rajasthan Legislative Assembly, Bikaner East was the Hon’ble Chief Guest for the event. The Hon’ble President of the university welcomed the Chief Guest, expressing gratitude in his address. Miss. Sidhi Kumari in her address spoke about the importance of quality education. She also motivated the students, especially our girl students, to be passionate towards their aim. She further added, “No matter how challenging the path might be, ultimately success will come to you”. She awarded the prizes to the winners of the various competitions held during the semester. The whole administration block was illuminated with glory of lighted diyas and the fragrance of flowers and incense sticks. The students decorated the foyer with colourful rangoli. The Rangoli and Diya competitions held in the administration block enhanced the charm of the celebration. Coordinated by the Events Forum of the University the event invited all staff and students to enjoy this auspicious festival. The vote of thanks was delivered by Prof. Mahendra K. Ghadoliya, Registrar, RNB Global University. Cultural Fest

On the occasion of Navratra and Dussehra, RNB Global

University organized the Cultural Fest on 8th of October

2016. The Cultural Fest was an epitome of energy and

enthusiasm, which transformed the campus into a colorful

canvas of celebration. Dr. Amandeep Singh Kapoor,

Superintendent of Police, Bikaner with his august presence

graced the function as the Chief Guest. Festival began with

the Lighting of the Lamp Ceremony to seek the blessings of

Goddess Saraswati at the Academic Block. In his address,

the Hon’ble Chief Guest Dr. Kapoor advised the students

that to achieve success in life, it is necessary to know the

true potential of self and then devote oneself to pursue

one’s desired aim in life. The function began at 10 AM with

Ganesh Vandana.

A dance competition in various categories

(Single/Duet/Group) was also planned for that day.

Choreographers Mr. Nitesh Ojha and Mr. Anil Ojha were

invited on the occasion to judge the Dance & Dandiya

performances by the students. Various categories of awards

like Best Dancer (male and female), Best Dress (male and

female) and Best Decorated Dandia were given on the

occasion. Since the theme of the day was Ethnic/Traditional,

attire the whole campus was twinkling with vibrant

traditional dresses.

Manu Priya Baid (MBA IV Semester)

Inter School Kho-Kho and Volleyball Match

Sports Forum, RNBGU organized an Inter School Kho-Kho

and Volleyball match on 1st October 2016. Kho-Kho

match was organized for the girls and Volleyball for the

boys; and both the matches were played simultaneously

on the grounds of RNBGU campus. The teams played with

full enthusiasm and gusto, and showcased their

sportsman spirit. The match was also an attempt to

inculcate sportsman spirit among the students, and

proved to be a medium for strengthening the bond of

friendship between seniors and juniors.

Seminar on Renewable Energy Resources:

"Future Concepts for Power Consumptions” To create awareness among the students about

renewable energy resources, School of Engineering and

Technology, RNB Global University, organized a seminar

on 1st October 2016 on the topic Renewable Energy

Resources: "Future Concepts for Power Consumptions”. On

this occasion Dr. Ashwani Mathur, Convener, SOET,

RNBGU was the key speaker. In his presentation he

discussed various challenges pertaining to renewable

energy and tried to examine environmental and

sustainable development from both current and future

perspectives. He also gave an overview of the energy

situation in the country with reference to the demand and

supply gap and the potential for various renewable

energies in India. The seminar gave a whole new insight

to the students, leaving them with a completely different

approach to handle renewable energies in future.

SPREE 2016

To inculcate the sportsman spirit and principles of teamwork among the students,

RNB Global University organized its Annual Sports Fest SPREE 2016, on 14th & 15th

October, 2016. This inter-school tournament organized by the Sports Forum,

RNBGU, came out to be one of the most exciting and memorable events of the

campus. During these two days a plethora of competitions took place namely, Lawn

Tennis, 100 Meter Race, Volleyball, Snookers, Basketball, Carom, Table-Tennis,

Chess etc.

During the grand Opening Ceremony, members of the Sports Forum mesmerized all

the spectators with their energetic dance performance. The dance was based on a

sports theme and exhibited the true spirit of sports. The girl’s brigade from first

semester set the mood with a melodious song performance. Mr. Narayan Chopra,

Mayor, Municipal Corporation, Bikaner graced the occasion as the Hon’ble Chief

Guest. Miss Indu Ojha, Gold Medalist, Commonwealth Power Lifting Championship

2009 also adorned the ceremony as the Guest of Honor. The guests applauded the

university’s efforts to promote physical activities by hosting such tournaments,

which could prepare students for future sports events.

The zeal and verve of the Opening Ceremony reached its crescendo by the end of

the second day. The energetic athletes of the RNB Global University won not just

medals but hearts of the spectators with their brilliant display of sportsmanship

and team effort.

Dr. Vishwa Nath Meghwal, Member of Legislative Assembly, Khajuwala and

Parliamentary Secretary graced the ceremony as the Hon’ble Chief Guest for the

closing ceremony of SPREE 2016; which was organized on Oct. 15th, 2016 and Shri

Rakesh, Sarpanch Khajuwala, accompanied him. Prof. Mahendra K. Ghadoliya,

Registrar RNBGU welcomed the esteemed guests after which, Dr. Meghwal

encouraged the students by his motivating words: “Believe in yourself; dream big

and achieve it with your hard work”. He congratulated all the winners and

bestowed the Best School Trophy to School of Commerce and Management, RNBGU.

Sonali Bhansali and Shubham Pugalia from MBA III semester enchanted everybody

with their compering. Dance performances by Mitali Bhura and Garima from BBA III

semester were the highlights of the ceremony. Deputy Registrar Dr. Manjoo

Saraswat presented the vote of thanks to all for their contributions towards making

SPREE 2016 a grand success. SPREE 2016 was announced as closed with the

plantation of trees in the University campus, by the dignitaries.

Interactive Session by

Mr. Rakesh Kaushal, SBBJ

In order to familiarize students with banking best practices

RNB Global University, organized an interactive session by

Mr. Rakesh Kaushal from State Bank of Bikaner and Jaipur

on the 3rd of October 2016.

After the formal opening ceremony, the key speaker Mr.

Rakesh Kaushal shared his experiences and knowledge with

the students of MBA, B. Com. & BBA. The session was

conducted with the aim of giving an insight of real banking

and Finance experience to the students. Mr. Kaushal talked

about various technology enabled modern ways of banking

like Internet banking, mobile banking, electronic methods

of payments, fund transfers and many other such services

provided by SBBJ. He also apprised students of various

opportunities for MBA students in the banking sector. This

informative and interactive session ended with a

questionnaire round.

Awareness Week

From September 26th to October 1st, 2016, RNB Global

University organized an ‘Awareness Week’ to address

and acquaint students with various social &

environmental issues such as growing pollution, scarcity

of water, food wastage, problems of hygiene and

sanitation, etc. During the observance of Awareness

Week, these issues were highlighted through various

competitions like poster making, skit, etc. in which

students from various programs showcased their

creativity and art with utmost zeal and passion.

Being a part of this initiative, students, took a pledge to

take this awareness campaign beyond the university

campus. The Awareness Week was a huge success in

attaining the desired goals.
