The Fossil Ridge Writing Center will be open on
Tuesdays and Thursdays after school in the
library from 3:455 p.m. You can receive help on
any writing assignment, college applications,
scholarship essays, etc. Stop by Ms. Roche's
room, 214, if you have any questions.
Mark your calendars! Tickets will be sold
starting November 14th for $5 or you can
buy them at the door for $10.
There will be a reducedprice prom ticket sale on
the webstore from November 7thDecember 2nd.
Tickets are $115. They will go up at least $15
more in the spring.

Veteran’s Day breakfast on November
10th from 7:308:15 AM. STUCO will be
cooking and serving food in the Food
Lab, room 160. Veterans and active
service members on campus are invited
to attend.
The Poetry Club will meet Wednesday,
November 9th at 3:45 PM in Ms.
Orona's room, 207. The topic is Fall and
"What is your muse?"

Extraordinary Panthers
Girls Volleyball, under the superb coaching of
Coach Huston, played their BiDistrict match
against Paschal on Tuesday night with
determination and class. Even though they
suffered a defeat they were able to carry their
team into the playoffs which hasn't happened
since 1999. Congratulations on an excellent
season!

For the third year in a row, Fossil Ridge studentshave won the House District 93 Christmas
Ornament contest hosted by State Representative
Matt Krause.
Thomas Nguyen, senior, was the contest winner
and his ornament will be hung on the 22foottall
Texas House Christmas Tree in the Texas State
Capitol. Victoria Bush, junior, was the contest
runnerup and will have her ornament placed on
the District 93 Christmas Tree in the HD 93
District Office.
Students from Amon CarterRiverside, Central,
Fossil Ridge and Lamar High schools submitted
over 100 entries. The HD 93 selection committee
members included Fort Worth, Arlington and
Northwest Metroport Chamber of Commerce
presidents.
