About UsThe Retreat Port Stephens is a unique tourism development, backing directly onto the largest living sand dune system in the Southern Hemisphere.

The Retreat is located in Anna Bay with the local shops just a 2 minute drive. We are central to all the activities and attractions

that Port Stephens has to offer, but with the secluded and peaceful nature setting of the bush.

We can also assist with the planning of your itinerary and book local attractions and facilities. National Parks offer great

educational talks and also guided tours. All of the attractions and facilities are within a 10 minute travel time which means

that many activities can be planned for a day.

The Retreat’s family buildings are all fully self contained with private kitchens, bathrooms, lounge rooms and dining areas. All beds are ready made and towels can be hired or guests can bring along their own.

Family buildings available are:

LODGE: sleeps 24 guests

THE RANCH: sleeps up to 8 guests

2 x DUPLEXES: each sleeps 16 guests

4 x Cabins: sleeps up to 5 guests

3 x Bungalows: sleeps up to 8 guests

The Duplexes are joined by a main wall so for groups of 30 - 35,

the central doors can be opened which allows for access through

to both buildings.

FamiliesThe Retreat Port Stephens is a safe, private and enjoyable place for all families. No matter the size of your family or ages of the kids there is just so much on offer.

Firstly take the kids straight out the back to the sand dunes for some energy burning sand

boarding. You can sit at the top of the dune and the kids can go up and down a few times.

After half an hour or so they are exhausted and want to come back for a swim in our salt water

inground swimming pool.

The kids can have a swim while you sit back and relax on our sun chairs with a great book and

take in the country air.

Next to the swimming pool is the games room with Table tennis, pool table, pin ball machine,

video machine, air hockey and stereo. There is a TV and DVD player in the games room to

watch a favourite movie or sports games. We also have board games and card games available

for hire at the office.

Next is the play ground area with climbing play equipment and spider swing. The open area

next to this is great for a game of soccer, cricket or bocce.

Bring along your push bikes as the kids can ride around the property and you can also ride on

the many bike tracks that are around the Port Stephens area.

AccommodationOur family accommodation buildings have been created to give you that real home away from home feel.

The Cabins, Bungalow and Ranch kitchens have all great modern facilities and features.

All the utensils required to cook a meal are provided in the buildings for your convenience.

Kitchens includes a full size fridge, gas stove cooktop, convection microwave, toaster, kettle

etc. Your flat screen TV has been mounted on the wall and DVD players are provided so

you can relax on your leather lounge and watch a movie or TV show. The lounge and Dining

areas are open plan and a lovely timber dining table is just off to the side of the kitchen.

Each of the buildings also have great decks with outdoor settings, umbrellas and bush or

pool views.

The beds are already made and towels are provided in the Cabins, Bungalows & Ranch.

Buildings closest to the pool are Bungalow 6 and Cabin 7. If you prefer to be away from

the pool and take in the beauty of the bush then Bungalow 1 & 3 or Cabin 2, 4 & 5 will

be your pick.

If you want to bring along your small pet then our pet friendly options are Cabin 4, 5 or

Bungalow 6.
