First Responders

September 9-15

A hero can be defined as someone who has done something brave like risking

their own life to save someone else’s. This definition has never been truer for the

men and women who put their lives on the line 24/7/365 to maintain law and or-

der and keep us out of harm's way. We can’t think of a better group of people to

salute than those that are the first to respond to the scene of an emergency,

disaster or other dangerous situation.

Many of the communities in the Chagrin Valley will be recognizing and honoring

the dedication of those who serve their communities. Here are some of the ways

you can salute them:

Show your support by changing your porch light to a red or blue light bulb. Bulbs can be purchased at Chagrin Hardware, 82 N. Main Street, Chagrin Falls and Kredo Hardware, 30759 Pinetree Road, Landerwood Plaza,

Pepper Pike. Retail businesses can dress their windows with blue and/or red to show their

support and/or light up their business with a red/blue spot light. Town Halls, Village Halls and City Halls can show their support by lighting up

with red/blue spotlights. Businesses with electronic signs can show their support on their signs for the

week with a simple: “Thank you First Responders!” Wear blue or red during the week. Tie a red or blue ribbon to your front yard tree or mailbox. A simple note or verbal thank you to your local police or fire department goes

a long way. The Chamber will have a page on our website listing all the community activities.

Help Dress Up the Dressing Room... The easiest fundraiser ever!

Pick up a gift card from Chagrin Hardware or The Home Depot to help with the cost

of dressing up the dressing rooms at the Chagrin Valley Little Theatre.

Then on September 15 from 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM simply drive by the CVLT & drop

off your gift cards! There will be folks right there to hand your gift card to... you

literally don't even need to leave the comfort of your car...it's that simple!

Every donation of a $25 gift card or more will receive an exclusive invitation to the

Champagne Reveal Party AND you're entered to win a subscription for the

2018-19 CVLT season!

Can’t make it but want to support? No problem... we will be collecting gift cards the entire

month of September at the Chamber office inside the

Chagrin Falls Township Hall (83 N. Main). Monday-Friday 9 am-5 pm.

**Please note that we always shop local first, however there are some items that only Home

Depot has for the "dressing up". We've received the blessing from Steve at the CF Hardware

Store to ask for both. We ask that the gift cards only be from these two stores

so that we can add them together to get our big ticketed items.

Chagrin Valley Salutes our
