Entries will be judged based on theme adherence, originality, and lighting.
The parade route will run down 6th St. from Dogwood to Forest Avenue.
Check-in will be located at 6th and Dogwood starting at 3:30 p.m.
Judging will take place at 4 p.m. Entries must be in place, fully decorated with lights, and with all participants present at that time.
The parade will begin promptly at 5 p.m.
Parade Rules:FOR THE SAFETY OF THOSE WATCHING AND PARTICIPATING IN THE PARADE, PLEASE FOLLOW THE BELOW RULES:
1) All entries must be decorated and have lights to participate. Also, NO Santa Clauses. He will make an appearance at the end of the parade.
2) Do not allow more than a 30-foot gap between you and the participant ahead of you during the parade.
3) Participantsthathavefloatsorlargeentriesmusthavepeoplewalkingoneachcorneroftheentry duringthelengthoftheparade.Thisistohelpcontrolchildrenwhomayrunuptothefloat/entry.
4) Mounted entries must have walkers next to them. This is for the safety of the horse, rider, and those watching the parade.
5) PooperScoopersarerequiredforallMounted/AnimalEntries.Usealongparaderouteandstagingarea.
Rules for Tossing Candy:1) Candy can only be tossed by individuals 12 years of age or older.
2) Candy must be tossed - not dropped - away from the vehicle or entry.
3) Candy cannot be tossed from large vehicles (e.g., semi-trucks or trucks pulling trailers.) Instead, if
you’d like to distribute candy, you must have walkers on either side of your vehicle tossing or handing out candy.
Not adhering to the rules may prohibit you from participating in the parade
