The rain forest is about 2% of Earth’s surface Many rare and helpful medications can only be found in

the Amazon. Humans are burning and tearing down the rainforest. 70% of all our meds. Come from our Amazon. So many of our everyday objects come from the

Amazon.

• A rare periwinkle had a cure for a horrible disease but this flower no longer exists.

The destruction of the Amazon

• Humans are ripping apart the Amazon everyday with fire and machines.

• This kills so many tribes and animals.

• We are destroying all the rare cures for disease and killing of so many tribes that wont be found any where else

• These tribes and their medicine men may have secrets to some cures. We are killing these secrets with the tribes.

The benefits of saving the Amazon

• If we save the Amazon we can get many things from it.

• We can save so many lives by using the meds. In the rainforest. We can save all the secrets the tribes hold. We can save all these rare plants and animals.

• There could be cures for cancer and AIDS and diabetes. We could do the impossible by saving the Amazon.
