• However, people usually know by then– Usually everyone has dropped out of the race but
one person– However you need a majority of the elctoral votes– Vice-president is usually announced as well

• The Democrats still meet during this time to decide issues at the primary and caucus. However, because the democrats already have their nominee (Barack Obama) it isn’t a big like the republicans
• Votes aren’t winner take all like the electoral college. You can win parts of states
