In pairs, you will finish a short reading and write down the 5 purposes of Art. Be prepared to share out at the end of class

Personal Functions – People create art to express personal feelings

Social Function – People do art to share family, community or civilization.

Spiritual Function – People do art to express personal beliefs.

Physical Functions – People do art to design things such as cars, toys, tools, buildings, metal, houses or any other physical things

Educational Functions – People do art to give information to the world without having to use words.
