“MOVE” REsults – CONGRAts DANCE PAK!In April, 38 dancers from PURE and 12 dancers from DMSDance trav-elled to London to take part in “Move – The Ultimate Dance Competi-tion by Shawn Desman”. The event took place over 4 days at the London Convention Centre. Head Coach, Miss Brittany DeJoseph, was thrilled to see her hard working students take the stage at last after preparing since August by training extensive hours per week in ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, hip hop and contemporary. Miss Debbie McGonigle, artistic director of DMSDance, could not be more proud of her Blenheim students who have taken their years of technical training with her and have continued to excel to greatness under DeJoseph’s com-petitive coaching expertise.

This month we would like to hon-our Madison Potter in pre ballet class with Ms. Heather. Madison already shows great promise and potential! Her attendance is un-beatable and her friendship, kind-ness and leadership toward her peers is contagious. Madison has been a joy to have in class all year long! We can’t wait to see how far you will go, Madison!

The actor of this month is Emily Johnstone. Emily had been in the acting program for two years now and what changes and growth we’ve seen! Emily is confident on-stage, always comes prepared and is such a positive and supportive member of our program. We can’t wait to see her light up the stage in her role as Snow White in our June recital! Keep up the great work

Emily!

This month’s Florence dance of the month is Kate Mardling! Kate always shows support for her classmates and enthusiasm when practicing her dance moves. She tries her hardest, always dances full out and pays attention to her technique! She always has a huge smile on her face and an awesome attitude in class! Way to go, Kate!

The Wallaceburg Dancer of Month is one of our Little Stars dancer, Kennedy Roche! Kennedy is al-ways ready to dance, waiting pa-tiently for everyone else to join her in the dance studio. She always gives her very best every class and never complains. She comes to class in the appropriate dance

attire and dances with a smile on her face every week. She is truly a joy to teach and it has been such a pleasure to see how she has strengthened in her technique as well as in her expression this year. Congratulations Kennedy, great job! DMSDance is proud of you!!

The Blenheim dancer of the month goes to Keaton Kloostra. Keaton is a hard working dancer who is showing great potential. She strives to improve, listens carefully and applies her corrections. Her excitement to learn a new exer-cise or the next step makes her so much fun to teach. Keaton’s hard work will shine, when she steps out on stage for our June recital. DMSDance is proud of you. Keep up the good work!!

Our PURE Singer of the Month is Emma Melhenbacher. Emma has been very open to suggestions in the last month and has been doing fantastic work on her solo. She is concentrating well in class and has shown great improvement. Way to go Emma!

This months PURE heart goes to Lisa Bicum. Lisa has helped out around PURE providing us with rehearsal props for our Beanstalk tour and that’s not all. She was a tour manager travelling around Southwestern Ontario with Mr. Corey and 8 special Beanstalk per-formers! Lisa provided the troupe with lunches and snacks and even an “adventure tour” in Sarnia. Thanks for all your time and gener-osity PURE is so lucky to have you and your son Evans with us!

The PURE Month ly Awards are a way for the PURE Staf f to recogn ize deserving students . Through-out each month instructors nominate students in their respective d iscip l ines who have been demonstrating a l l of the behaviours out l ined in the Code of Conduct found at pureacademy.ca .

PURE is filled to the brim with talented, passionate, and hard-working staff members. We would like to introduce the PURE Heart Staff award each month and allow our clients to catch a glimpse of just how amazing our PURE team really is. This month’s PURE Heart Staff Award goes to ‘Miss Shannon’ Clapp. Miss Shannon is a long time member of the DMSDance family. She became a

student of the school at a young age and never looked back. Miss Shan-non instructs and inspires our younger dancers in both Blenheim and Wallaceburg. You will often hear her say how much she loves teaching her students and the joy it brings her. In turn her students look up to her with a sparkle in their eyes when entering her classes. Shannon has an extremely creative mind. The fun ideas she comes up with for her classes, camps and even decorating our stage for the year end recital are all unique and amazing. We recognize your hard work Miss Shannon and want to say THANK YOU!
